My measurements are 39 30 46, narrow hips, thick thighs, and derrière. I’m learning how to dress myself again. Since entering my 30s it feels like I forgot how to dress and shop 😅 thank you for all the tips!
Just found your channel. Love it after this first video. New subbie. I Love that you talk about combo body types. I am a petite hourglass with longer legs amd with only 8-9 inches difference between hips/bust and waist. When I’m a few pounds under normal I lose a bit of curves and look like a slightly curvy rectangle. I dont accentuate my waist as I feel that dressing to accentuate the rectangle shape is lengthening to the body. Looking forward to more of these videos and will go back to watch more.
Hi Casey. I am an hourglass from the front and back views only. I am small-chested and butt less. But, I do have tummy issues. I tummy protrudes around the belly button and lower. I used to always wear a belt to define my waist and wear tops that defined the waistline. However, now, although I am still able to show off my waistline but that also attracts attention to my tummy. And, I don't want to wear loose fitting baggy maternity looking tops. Any tips for hour glass shapes with a belly?
I would look for tops that are more structured. It might be nice to still show off your waist, but then have them flare out like a peplum top or a fit and flare dress.
I have a hour glass shape too but with the dreaded hip dips. I can only wear high waisted jeans because if I wear mid rise or low waisted jeans it will make me have a muffin top. 😫 Oh and I have the lower belly fat too. I know exactly how you feel.
No your not an hourglass but and inverted triangle. There IS nothing like mixture and I think that's why only 8% of the population have real hourglass figure. Two inches IS like 5cm longer than your hip that's way to much. Yes if it was less than 2inches
Join the club! Lol. If you're trying to minimize the appearance of hip dips, then make sure that your bottoms (whether that's a dress, skirt, pants) flare out straight from the waist. You won't want anything too hip hugging.
My shoulders are 37.5, bust 35 1/4, waist 27.5, hips 37. Visually from the front, my shoulders & hips are same width, and my waist curves in. Though I have a short waist. I don't have the bust, but most of the hourglass celebrities I know of have a big bust. She says that isn't part of the hourglass shape, altho it's common, but I find that confusing. I guess she knows, though. I do know I naturally look best in dresses all one color that gently hug the body, showing my shape outline and even proportions, rather than emphasizing the booty or bust (neither of which is very large).
I think I’m hourglass.. hips 43, shoulder 43, bust 39 waist 30 inches :) I’m enjoying learning how to dress anew, as I spent most of my life in oversized loose casual stuff trying to look cool and wondering why it isn’t working 😅
Before i started working out due to getting fit for a 10k i was about the same as you waist and hips and I think i was 38 bust and probably 40 shoulders but I’ve only measured them since i lost a bit of weight. I’m now 38 shoulder 26 waist 38 hips. My waist to hip ratio is ridiculous. Need a bigger size for my ass and then it gapes at the waist. Boobs have shrunk to 34, so i didn’t think i was an hourglass any more but according to Casey, 38 36 38 is a perfect hourglass. I however LOVE a turtle neck and I’ll never stop wearing them 😊
Same measurements as me more or less, but shoulders 38, bust 34, waist 26-27 depending on if i ate bread, hips 38. I’d say with 38 26/27 38 we are definite hourglasses. I mean I have 34 bust but it’s a 34D which is a good chunk of boob 😂

I was def a hour glass before kids, now I'm a mix of triangle/hourglass
Thanks so much for the extra tips I never heard before!
You are so welcome!

Same here girl
What are the best shorts?! I keep finding videos that dont talk about shorts
I am also a mixture of inverted triangles and hourglass ,my shoulder is two inches longer than my hips and my bust is 5 inches longer than my waist
Yeah, that sounds about right! Those two videos should be helpful for you!

@@CaseyMatheny Okay thanks Casey. Can you do a video especially for those of us who have hip dips? I would really appreciate it.
new here, love your channel
Hey! Could you do a video talking about maternity wear? Thanks!
Yes! Any specifics you’d like to learn?
Anything and everything would be helpful!
Shoulders, waist and hips 42/31/42. And bust 37!

Great advice.

Yes! You’re definitely an hourglass. I’m happy you enjoyed the video!

hey thank u so much🥰🥰
You’re welcome 😊
@@CaseyMatheny hi my body measurement is like 37then33,26,34 so any more thing that i should keep in mind
What do you recommend for someone who is an hourglass but they are plus size?
The same rules apply whether you are plus, petit, or tall!
Casey Matheny would you still do a tuck if you carry your extra weight in your stomach? Or would you not?
my measurements are 34-27-38 , and my shoulders 38. Am I an hourglass or a pear?
Same measurements as me more or less, but shoulders 38, bust 34, waist 26-27 depending on if i ate bread, hips 38. I’d say with 38 26/27 38 we are definite hourglasses. I mean I have 34 bust but it’s a 34D which is a good chunk of boob 😂
My shoulders 36 hips 36 bust 30 waist 24
Seems like nobody says the same because others say to not take shoulders into consideration and only bust. Confusing 😂
Busy is definitely a part of it, and typically a “curvy hourglass” also has a large bust. But shoulders is a big part of it too
Very helpful!👍💃
I'm so happy to hear that!
i have big arms and im not comfortable with it 🥲
