    off the bat im looking forward to purchasing a SVS SB sub. All i hear are great things about them. What makes me wonder is when you guys talk about sweet spot and sub placement. I understand all that physics but man, one sub from a reputable company , for me, gets the job done. I can hear the sub frequency and i can feel it rattling my what ever room its in. I dont know if you guys are def or just bass junkies. Or could it be your sub or subs are not doin its job. No offense intended , im just curious.

    • @chrisj9008
      @chrisj9008 6 років тому +1

      Agreed, i have space to do 4, so my route right now will be to add an additional PB2000s to my 2 existing if I choose to push it anymore. The mini-DSP gives the pb2000 the missing control that he SB4000 would have with its native programming . I have a wide seating arrangement with 4 seats across a front line in a very wide room where additional subs dispersed would have massive improvement in overall coverage. No question the 4000 is a more powerful single unit.
      Of course, do I need more than 2 PB 2000s... well hell no, but can I.. hell yeah!!! We will see, but first, moving from prime towers to Ultra Towers to match the Ultra Center I have. Cheers!!! Lets us know your thoughts on the ultras with the Outlaw.

      mcmalden well do it power output, it works effortlessly with some if the content I've thrown at it. It does dig deeper in response giving it more room presence. Then it's ability to tune it and control with app if you know what your doing and can measure room response.

    Good morning I recently bought 1 sennheiser ambeo soundbar which I am really happy with. I would like to add 1 subw model svs sb4000 or svs pb4000 for more bass. I would like to ask you if by inserting one of these two models I can improve the bass sound more or given the high costs of the models described above, I only keep the soundbar? we are talking about € 2399 and € 2899. for this reason I ask you if by adding 1 subw I really gain from listening to both music and movies. Thanks for your answer

      All depends on your room an placement. But add either will definitely add to the experience. I prefer sealed subs for my space for movies and music. But dial subs it the better options.

    So I have a pair of B&W 805D3’s with a HTM2D3 center, I have two REL t/5i’s right now that they do well with music with the high pass speakon connection but for movies, they rattle off too much. I can only place dual subs right in front of the viewing area one on each side of the component rack. They would be in between the front speakers and the rack, so not on corners. Is dual subs worth it or am I better off with a single “better” sub like the 3000 or 4000. Also my room is rather small, about 11x10.

    • @MrSuperman258401
      @MrSuperman258401  3 роки тому

      My room is only 12x12 and yes dual subs are with it. But it's all about placement and tuning.
      Best thing is a Umik-1 usb mic and REW (free software) to take some room measure so you see what your sub or subs are doing. Adjust placement and then adjust tuning. Nice thing about the svs subs and the app control. Other mini dsp 2x4HD can help too. Check out home theater gurus UA-cam channel has a great video on this and how to setup multiple subs.

    • @MrSuperman258401
      @MrSuperman258401  6 років тому

      1st your welcome, really depends on the content you play on them.
      I got better bass response with dual sb2000, with better bass across the range from 80hz and below where I had my speakers crossovers set.
      But the sb4000 could handle the bass output better with less effort but was really strong with the 40hz and below. I really needed 2 sb4000 for better response in room over dual sb2000.
      Only other thing I would consider would be dual pb2000 if you want it to dig a little deeper.

      I have a pb2000 in a large room. It is incredibly powerful. Only thing I don't like is when playing at high output, it is slightly slow in its response time. Narcos Season1 Narcos Season1 the pb2000 has much more output cause it's ported, especially in larger rooms. The Sb is still good but needs to be in a smaller room to have a similar effect. It doesn't mean the pb is better, but is definitely louder. The Sb will probably have slightly better sound quality and tightness in the bass. My next subwoofer will definitely need to be larger, probably a pb4000, so I can also run the subwoofer in the sealed mode for better sound quality.
