What is quite incredible is that Gary Moore was left-handed.

Confirmation that Gary was quite simply the best guitarist ever to walk this earth. Yes there have been and still are some brilliant guitar players, but Gary was just a cut above the rest.
Also it is very fitting that you should react to Gary Moore as tomorrow 6th February marks 13 years since we sadly lost him. R.I.P MAESTRO!
    😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦

I've been a musician since 1963 and I've heard many of the greats live including Jimi Hendrix BB King and Jeff beck. In my humble opinion my humble opinion Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this performance is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded.

Gary was unique. By the way, a relative of mine actually met Jimi Hendrix at a bar in CA and he signed her album. Years later, the family dog got in the cabinet where she had kept the album and shredded it...😬😭

Gary and Rory were good friends, and used to gig together, share amps and guitars when gear broke down.

He is a master, absolutely, both in guitar playing as in his voice, there are songs that make me goosebumps, most incredible guitar solos never performed. True genius. The performing is so pure. Thanks Rory for this brutal video. xoxoxo to Nala, sorry for saying to you this but you look pretty with your blonde hair cutted, greetings 🎸👍👌🔊👏🏻👏🏻

    Hi from Italy, Rory!
Yes, he was a giant, a master guitarrist, an amazing artist. Like you i love Rory Gallagher, and i find both are similar in many aspects: both are irish (ok, Gary from northern Ireland), both are simply person, both loves his guitars and playing with passion and feeling! LOVE this genere of person, love Gary and Rory❤️

Incidentally, Gary and Rory Gallagher knew each other very well and indeed in the early days when they played a gig at the same time, they used to leave their guitars on stage for the other one to use in case they broke a string. Gary said that neither of them could afford new strings at that time. 😊
    Cheers. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦

Emotionally, technically it's just a fantastic performance, the guitar he plays on belonged to Peter Green...
    Thanks!

Quite a few times when people talk about great guitarists like SRV, I have mentioned Gary as being in that level. People have said no way. Now, to my way of thinking, SRV was brilliant to be sure, but other than his work on Bowie's Let's Dance album, everything he did was the same. Brilliant yes, but the same. But guitarists like Moore and Brian May from Queen were able to cross genres, and do them well. And while Brian May can sing, Gary could SING!!!
There are a lot of great guitarists. Jeff Healey is another. But in the end, it does come down to personal taste.

Compared to the Roy Buchanan original this is Spinal Tap. Gary was a great guitarist but not subtle. Wrong song choice.
