Absolutely brilliant! The greatest guitarist ever! Incidentally, Peter Green was responsible for getting Gary's (then band) Skid Row a recording contract and for bringing them to England. Later of course, Peter sold Gary the famous Greeny/Moore Les Paul. Really pleased that you are getting into Gary's music. Thank you. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Gary had the tune all worked out as an instrumental. He played it to Phil who said that it sounded kind of French and put some lyrics to it. Hence Parisienne Walkways. A little bit of inside information for you. The opening line is "I remember Paris in '49" Phil Lynott was born in 1949 and his father (who Phil met many years later) had the surname Parris. Cheers. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦

Gary Moore was an incredible talent. An amazing guitar player. There's a young guitar player that says Gary Moore is his favorite guitar player. Taj Farrant is 14 yr old and a phenom. He already has 4 of his original songs go to #1 on the worldwide iTunes blues charts this past year. I love watching people see Taj play for the first time. You have to keep reminding yourself of his age. He performs Parisienne Walkways at his shows. He's currently touring across the US. Here's a video of him playing Parisienne Walkways for his biggest inspiration Gary Moore. ua-cam.com/video/PMdqV4xfUe4/v-deo.htmlsi=BRSqea8g3RbhV1te
Great performance by good ol' Gary. He's done more brilliant stuff. Try this one: ua-cam.com/video/7k07j7LcLqw/v-deo.html or check out the original first: ua-cam.com/video/deeBQZ8Aklc/v-deo.html
@@RoryreactsSorry, but that is not the Greeny/Moore Les Paul. That guitar is a Gibson Gary Moore Signature Les Paul. Incidentally, Greeny/Moore is now owned by Kirk Hammett of Metallica. Whilst I have nothing against Kirk, I wish the guitar had gone to Joe Bonamassa Personally I think that it would be in more fitting hands that way. Cheers. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
What is quite incredible is that Gary Moore was left-handed.
Wonderful 🎸 very good excellent guitarrist, thanks Rory good evening👏🏻
