    UPDATE: I flew with Air China LHR-PEK-SIN but the flight attendants on the LHR-PEK sector made me delete my footage! They have this strange no phones policy on their aircraft, which is ridiculous. Sorry guys! I will be doing Wizz Air LTN-KUT in February.

      Noah Gianfranceschi if it was possible and economical the demon airlines would surely send a Dash 8 over the Pacific.

      British Airways uses a a318 over the Atlantic from LCY to JFK with a stop for refueling before crossing the ocean!

      IF_Aviation I was commenting on you saying BA fly A318 cross Atlantic and I wanted to say that it’s way better than this

    What a great video, such clean and clear shots- How did you like the 737 Max 8?

    • @kylemurdochshow
      @kylemurdochshow  6 років тому +1

      Dan C Thanks man! Yeah I really liked it! It helped that the flight was basically empty so that gave me a full row of seats to myself! Definitely recommend as it was more comfortable than a 757 going transatlantic

    Anyone know why it is registered in Ireland?? Tax avoidance most likely....

    • @done-ahhh578

      It's operated by a subsidiary of Norwegian Airlines based in Ireland called "Norwegian Air International". So it's operated by Norwegian Air International, a wholly owned subsidiary, for Norwegian Air Shuttle. It has to do with having the rights to fly between UK/Ireland and the US, rather than taxes. Thats generally what Norwegian does when operating long haul flights. They set up a subsidiary airline in the country they want to operate from and to and that subsidiary airlines ooperates on behalf of the main company.

    One thing I absolutely can't stand on airplanes are babies that won't stop crying, however, I know there isn't much one can do about it except try to tune it out! :)

    Once upon a time (after the 1st generation of jets), to cross the ocean you needed a wide body aircraft and, before ETOPS, more tha two engines. Then came the 757 and now we see the 737s (MAX) annd A320s (NEO) do the task. Nice report and quiet aircraft! 20 pounds for meal, kind of too much.

      note: the meal isn't 20gbp if you buy ahead with your ticket. they consider it a la carte if you buy the services on the plane.
