Mr.McNally, Turkey eh ? , been once, quite liked it although the travelling was horrendous, we were going to a small resort called Altinkum, a 4 hour transfer, got to the hotel, no AC, lying with the fridge door all night, of course that did nothing, first night out the food was fantastic, the people lovely, the nightlife non existent, couldn't wait to get home, return transfer 4:30 am horrendous, got to the airport and could not find a seat, Missus and I were sitting on the floor. TURKEY, NEVER AGAIN. Have a safe journey pal, take care.
When you are over 60(like me) Kevin the bus will be free.Happy days

Edinburgh airport looks WAY better than Belfast International which had a full makeover on it's lounge facilities only a few years ago
Safe trip , you will love Icmeler , beautiful place. Try the DiVamli Hotel or Private Hotel. Day Star in old Town is basic but clean. Look forward to see the place again.
If you get to icmeler go to ‘champagne steak house’ for dinner. Still the best meal I’ve ever had in my life.
Weve been to Lindos six times and two great beaches but quite a climb down and no cars allowed officially.
Rhodes is expensive, relatively for Greece, because it's a big cruise port I think.
Flying out to Rhodes Town on Saturday, got Lindos and Symi island planned for next week

Looking forward to the Rhodes vlogs, I love the island and especially Rhodes Old Town and Lindos
Stayed in Lindos a few years ago. The accommodation was very basic , but just a few yards from the beach. Loved it. Rhodes is great..One of the highlights was sitting in one of those rooftop bars in Lindos with an ice cold beer , listening to a Pink Floyd tribute band playing in a nearby field. Doesn’t get much better than that , unless it’s sitting in a field ( lsle of Wight) listening to The Who, Hendrix , The Doors etc , which we did for real over 50 years 😅
@@lthompson7625Sitting in those rooftop bars and watching the moon over the Acropolis on a warm summers evening is a memory that will stay with me forever. Just magical. Our accommodation was basic too, on the donkey route, but it was so much more atmospheric than staying in one of the fancy hotels that’s been built around the other bay. Lindos is best at night when the day trippers have gone and all the bars come to life.
@@linzbarber Linz, those poor donkeys having to carry those hefty tourists up the acropolis. We walked it one day in the heat and it was tough. Hope to go back to Lindos one day👍
@@lthompson7625 Just awful for the poor creatures, I was hoping they weren’t being made to struggle these days, but I think they’re still there. It is a hike up to the Acropolis, we did it around 5pm and the light was amazing…. the vista was bathed in a golden glow. Just perfect.
There used to be a bar where the barman just slung the bottle of spirit down the bar towards you and let you pour your own measure, at the end of the night he just guessed what you owed and it was always way less than it should have been haha. I can’t remember the name of it now but it was opposite the old bakery.
I hope you get to return one day and I hope we do too and let’s hope it’s not changed too much .

I stayed in Rhodes old town years ago and remember it was really nice, never fancied turkey, only at Christmas 😅

Have a great trip Kevin, we spent a week in Rhodes town in June and loved it. Go to the old town it’s amazing, some of it dates back to 300 BC !! There’s loads of bars etc in Rhodes new town too 😀
