The Max flew hundreds of thousands of times without any issue. Only two flights crashed which is 2 too many no doubt, however as someone that flew the Max many times whilst in service, I don't think I was ever in any sort of imminent danger.

Roundabouts are a plenty in Gainesville, Florida, and in a lot of more 'planned' communities, like Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Also, in New Jersey, they employ 'jug handles' for left hand turns on major roads.....sort of roundaboutish.

Interresting is that that they also ran a Scotland to USA service with the 737-800 NG. I thought that would be a stretch but I read online that the 737-800 NG has a range of 3115 nautical miles and that Edinburgh to Providence RI is 2708 nautical miles so they could have potentially also flown as far as to NYC and even to Pittsburgh, I guess. (I knew that with the MAX its no issue as it has 3550 nautical miles range. ) I shouldnt come as a surprise when I think about it; Back in the day with their fleet was only 737 NG (and B787) they used the NG from Scandinavian capitals to the Canary Islands which is just a bit less distance. Nowadays, those routes are mostly serviced by the 737 Max 8.

The NE states are just about the only places in the US where you'll encounter a roundabout (we call 'em "traffic circles"). God alone knows how they came to be here -- or why. To just about anyone from anywhere else in America, they're mystifying and slightly frightening artifacts of engineering akin to Stonehenge or the heads on Easter Island. Somewhere in the Greater Boston area, I'm convinced, there's some poor bugger in an '85 Camry with North Dakota plates who's been circling the same 360 degrees of arc since his car was new. This is my second time finding this video and it was just as much fun the second time through as it was three years ago. Thanks for making it for us!

Here's a real 24 hour 5 state challenge for you during the summer months. In this case, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan Ohio and Indiana. Fly into Chicago, drive up to Manitowoc, WI, take the car ferry S.S. Badger (one of the last regularly scheduled reciprocating steam engine powered ships you can ride on in the world. You can even get a private room with a bed on the Badger.) across Lake Michigan to Ludington, MI. From Ludington, drive south-southeast via Grand Rapids, MI into a bit of Ohio, then take the Ohio Turnpike, Indiana Toll Road and Illinois Toll Road back to Chicago's O'Hare. There you have it!

I work at BDL, a fueler there. I've been there for 2 years or so. I work 1st shift (430am to 1 pm). Our mornings are actually pretty busy. We usually have around 70 departures during those 8 hours. With about 45 to 50 of them leaving between 5 am and 9 am. We're pretty much the number 1 diversion airport for EWR, LGA, JFK and BOS. I've seen some awesome diversions here at BDL. Lufhansna A350, Aer Lingus A330-300, a few 777's, 747's, 767's, and a TAM A350. It's actually a great airport to fly out of. Especially domestically. We are very good at now delaying aircraft lol.

      @noelphilips  5 років тому

Hi Andrew, thanks for the comment :) Wow didn't realise BDL was that busy, I guess arriving late at night to the international terminal made me think it was very small. There was just one gate at the international building when I flew there. Thanks for watching!

@@noelphilips yeah, Norewgian was the only airline that did that. Even Aer Lingus goes straight to gate 7. BDL discontinued the EDI route with Norwegian. And yeah, the time you came in is usually the dead time. No many departures left, just a ton of arrivals that sit overnight and go out in the morning. No problem man!

Hi I live in the northeast US.
Roundabouts aren't extremely common, but they do exist around here. I wish they were used more often, they are way quicker than traffic lights. It does seem that parts of where I live are starting to implement them more.
A roundabout near me just completed construction recently, haven't heard of any more projects but they are being introduced, just very slowly.

I feel the title is misleading, as you hit all 6 New England states. Still, great video.

Never seen a round about in the States? You haven't driven enough! Lol I think they're more of a east coast thing

I don't understand why it seems that in Europe, even though they park the aircraft at a jetway equipped gate, they don't connect the jetway and use stairs instead. Anyone got any info on why this is a thing? In the US you'd be hard pressed to board a commercial flight WITHOUT a jetway nowadays...

Thank you! At which point? Airport shots are held at hip height on a gimbal, car shots and aircraft shots attached to the window :)

    Hi!
I really enjoy your videos. Although I find some of your music choices to be taxing on someone who is not utterly stoned.

The camera is a bit shakey and in my opinion when you are standing up the camera is to close to your face. Maybe investing in a good quality tripod if you haven’t already. But other than that love seeing your videos

    • @noelphilips

The driving rules are pretty similar in the US, it's very easy to drive there compared to the UK, although the traffic was pretty insane through Boston!
