Lyrics:
Silver threads and golden needles cannot mend this heart of mine
And I dare not drown my sorrows in the warm glow of your wine
You can't buy my love with money cause I never was that kind
Silver threads and golden needles cannot mend this heart of mine
#LorettaLynn #SilverThreadsandGoldenNeedles #CountryMusic

The three greatest in my days!!
The Golden Trio of Country.
Lots of cameos from famous artists and Nashville area TV/radio personalities at the time, some no longer with us. Chet Atkins, Carl Perkins, Little Jimmy Dickens, Confederate Railroad, Ricky Skaggs, Tom Wopat, Bill Anderson, Grandpa Jones, Ronnie Milsap, Marty Stuart, Doug Stone, Rodney Crowell, Diamond Rio, Sammy Kershaw, Bill Monroe, George Lindsey, Mark Collie, Charlie Chase, and Ralph Emery.
You forgot someone. "Elvis" Wade Cummins was in there too!
All the times that I have seen this music video. I have never noticed Tom Wopat until now. LOL
Funny how Loretta leaves with Bill Monroe!
Mark Collie.
I love how Chet is the only one allowed in the room

There will never be the gathering of such talent again. Thanks for the posting.
3 Beautiful ladies adn voices
I love it when Loretta steps into the hall for a private moment with her old friend Bill Monroe. Priceless
Beth Cheesebrough that wasn’t Bill Monroe, that was her husband Moony.
@@mrsollie No it wasn't....that was Bill Monroe....Mooney didn't wear glasses or wore clothes like that.
That was Bill Monroe
best copy of this song
those women sing like angels
R.I.P. Loretta Lynn
My favorite part~ Loretta sneaking out the door with Bill. 🤣♥️ RIP, Loretty.
3 of the greatest female country singer of all time
Who’s here after Loretta died
Rest In Peace Loretta Lynn
RIP Miss Loretta. The Queen of country music. 💔🎶🎵😢
You can just tell how much they loved each other
I love Dolly, I love Loretta and I love Tammy!
Wow!!
Yes!
I’m a classically trained musician and friends of mine asked me why I love country music. I didn’t used to. That was my fault. My roots are Scottish and Native American and down to earth hillbilly. I’m proud of it and I love it
This is the kind of music i like to play
That song Makes Me Remember that Time I Personally met Wynette Backstage at one of her Concerts #Memories #CountryMusic #fan
22 year old guy and I love this song. Can't watch it without grinning
Casey Clark its a great song to sing lol
You can tell by the three legends body language that they had a great time
God I love this song with these ladies all together singing this song cannot be duplicated and now two are gone and Dolly is the last of a generation of true country music that most of us grew up with and it’s great to have these old videos to visit are past that was awesome in talent that won’t be matched .
RIP Tammy
I ❤ this Song 🎵 😊
Tammy never better with that little raspiness in her voice mixed with just the right amount of twang.
Her vocals dominate this song. She sounds incredible!
I must say I never did care for this song that much at all when it was minor hit back in the sixties but to hear these threee charming country women get it together and belt this song out, just made it sound so much better. It's like apple pie versus hot homemade apple pie with a whole lot of vanilla ice-cream piled ontop. Of coarse I'm a Dolly Fan at heart but don't tune her in as often as all that. My favorite is "Baby I'm Burning" & then Tammy's "Stand by Your Man!". Thx4 postin
What a blessing these lady
These women know real life and real sorrow. The melodies may be perky and happy but the lyrics tell the story of suffering. Love these trailblazers.
agreed!
very good
Well said
Well said.... One of my favorite songs....thanks to whoever posted this historical video
I love that marty stuart makes a cameo in the video his part is priceless
He got very excited when Dolly told him Loretta and Tammy were underdress
There is a serious problem with this song.......It's just too short. It needs to be at least one more verse longer. I could listen to this song all day.
Steve Williams I agree. I just listened to it like 10× in a row. They are great individually but this song is only made better by having all three of them. They harmonize so well together. I'll never get tired of this song.
Did you catch the guy@ 1:56? He was Luke Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard. Tom Wopat
mcneillmama50 : I caught that the first time I saw this video. Wanda Jackson first recorded this song in 1956. Anyway, there is another verse to this song; but I have no idea why no one ever sings it. I've got it written down somewhere. I'll send it to you as soon as I find it.
RIP Loretta Lynn 1932-2022
This is absolutely a favorite! These ladies are truely heart and soul of real country music!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Country stars, immortals
Love this old country music, a lot better than what they call country music today.
How I do agree!
I think this is the best version.
I agree with you 100 percent Wanda Carr. I used to like country music but the crap that's being played today has completely turned me off. I turn to UA-cam so I can listen to real country music.
This is real country! The "country music" today is not country music! I love this!
My favorite country song 🎃🎃
Great fantastic my god here Tammy’s tone slaying it -
Dolly’s high harmony and Loretta what can you say these women are true legends no one today can top them
these are immortal giants which we'll never see again
I could never express how much I look up to these three women. There is not one day that goes by where I don't sing a song of theirs, or listen to one. I don't know where I would be without them. Love these ladies!!
wow. Tammy Wynette has a powerful beautiful voice.
That was my take also from this great song.
3 of the most talented women in any genre of music.... Tammy you are still Missed
Loretta Lynn RIP
I remember when this video came out. It was one of my favorites, and still is.
Dolly at 47 yrs old, looks amazing!
HER style, look, hair, body- made me go "wow"...
Great prolific songwriter on top of it all!
What a blessed man, that attracts a classy n sassy woman like that....
The best...hail real country....& the real singers that made it.
How fun!
What a gem of a video! So happy to see these three icons of country music singing together. And all the Cameos too, not in any special order but I saw Chet Atkins, Doug Stone, Ricky Skaggs ,Little Jimmy Dickens, Marty Stuart, Grandpa Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Carl Perkins, Ralph Emery, Tom Wopat, Charley Chase, Goober (George Lindsey), Bill Anderson, Ronnie Milsap,Rodney Crowell,Mark Collie, Confederate Railroad and Diamond Rio.
And I'm not sure if that's Bill Monroe or not that Loretta Lynn goes out the door with.
I love this video!
Thanks. I was trying to think of all their names.
Yes, That was Bill Monroe
yes I love it! So many memories from my childhood and my parents playing and singing a lot of the old classics.. bitter sweet memories. My sister is the oldest but oddly enough I prefer the country and she prefers rock and roll. lol

Hi Rhonda hope you're okay?
Tammy lead vocals a master peace!
I love Dolly go to Dollywood why didn’t dolly start the song off
Sounds of my childhood! Gorgeous ladies with amazing voices.
tell me about it. My dad played this song on guitar and my mama sang it. RIP mom and dad.. I still have recordings of their music as they recorded some onto cassettes and reel to reel. They transferred the reel to reel onto cassette tapes and later years I transferred them to CD/DVD PRICELESS! Loretta Lynn was the queen of country music but Tammy had a wonderful fantastic voice and I'd call her the Lady of country music. Dolly is one of a kind. There is ABSOLUTELY NO country songs like any that these ladies did today. Classics, legends all.
The three women that set the very foundation for women in music 🎼 just amazing talent with these incredibly talented Trail Blazers what a legacy
Agreed the singers of classic country knew what they were telling in their songs because they lived. So they told it in songs and words that you could understand
