Waze, Wix, Fiverr… these are all billion dollar companies started by Jewish entrepreneurs.
Being a Jewish entrepreneur myself, I’ve always wondered "What is it about the Jewish culture that’s created so many success stories?"
To find out, I decided to fly all the way to Tel Aviv, Israel, to ask the most successful Jewish people I know to find out what they're doing differently and what we can learn from them.

As an Israeli I believe the most importent factor that differentiates us is the millitary service..having to go throgh 3 years of mental torture. ( it's not bad all the time but it is hard most of the times if you play a combat role) this forces you to take adopt more mature outlook on life. Or it breaks you, that also exists.

Interesting stuff. I like the CEOs commenting on the difference in the mentality of USA vs Israel workers. In the US you can't be direct and have to talk with a lot of fluff. In Israel, you can be direct. I think direct communication is the most effective. Also love when he says "In Israel, if they stop yelling at you, you have a problem. It means they don't care."

One thing is for sure when it comes to Jewish Entrepreneurs, it is all in the values of the Torah... To study, to learn and to add value to society. The guy who said "Solving problems" is really true and deep!
Because Jews lived in other countries hundreds or thousands of years ago, they did not have the same right and they had to pay taxes to live in peace.... so they had to find a way to make more money. For example In morocco old Jews were 90% entrepreneurs. They were sellers and they made everything...
And they help each other and every Jew works for a Jew always!

Interesting: If I said the things they say in this video, I'd be called anti - s-word for perpetuating stereotypes. The "higher IQ" comment will definitely rub some the wrong way, given the current debate going on due to a certain musician and a certain basketball player. Personally I'm not offended. As said in the video Israelis are direct and not shy to say their own opinion, emphasis on 'their own'.
Most are completely ignorant to the conspiracy theories against them about having life easy, being set into position by the community etc..
and they don't understand the hate for believing their religion is the right one and the idea of "chosen people". (that's the all point of belief )
      Hence the largely open answers

    • @quad_vision4393

Agreed, the first street interview he did was slightly cringe. Eugenic's theory within the first response, which is concerning given the current dynamic between Jews and Palestinians. The odds of that happening on the first interview are high enough to show that maybe they feel a certain superiority to other people based solely on their own identity. This is only human though and understand any other race is capable of doing the same. I think we can learn more than anything about a culture of people who love and support each other. And, outsiders gain to learn what helping their own communities looks like.

that community support is mainly a fallacy, at least in Israel.
Foremost the majority is Jewish so no stories of inclusive community benefits holds up.
      It's more about the environment,
Having some money (not much) to start off isn't exactly a huge benefit,
Beside most parents use it to cover the costs of the event.
Israelis are also are starting 2-3 years at least behind on the financial road. in the crucial years most are in service earning pennies.

We are not above anybody, we are average people that have been prosecuted for years because of these kind of dumb sentences and therefore we had to think about creative ideas to survive and help each other

I read alot about Jewish successes and why a small group of people is the most successful per capita.
    Here's my takeaway:
It's not about the IQ level. It's not about being business minded. It's never even about the money.
It's about unity within the Jewish community. They are the most united people from my observations, helping each other out.
It's about the 3 words in Jewish philosophy (Community, Education, Torah), apart from strong community, they are mostly highly educated
It's about the Jewish financial management culture drilled in since young (The 5 jars of savings)
It's about adopting the "immigrant mindset". Work hard around the clock. (The 2nd gen immigrants from any country are more successful than the locals of any country by some studies)
It's about developing an ecosystem and not becoming rivals to other businesses (When one starts a gas station, the other should start a restaurant next to it, not another gas station)
And I might missed out alot more things. Because I'm not Jewish.
Just a person from another part of the world, Singapore.
It's also about having their yelling mothers breathing down their necks.. lol

One very important thing that wasn't mentioned here: "More than 100 (very) successful companies were founded by ex-8200 soldiers." (including Waze!).
8200 is one of the tech unit in Israeli army. For example, in 8200, they teach you cyber security and other related topics, you serve there a few years, and then you finish your military service with a few years experience as software developer.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_8200 (go to "Companies founded by alumni")

I think jewish people have been so successful, because they could only take on certain professions. For example in Germany (before 1945) jews could not work on constitution sides etc, therefore they we’re basically forced to do banking and stuff like that. Due to being such a bonded culture they could slso act easier as one entity and help each other. I mean it’s probably just something along the lines of that. (Btw i’m not jewish neither do i know a lot about jewish culture so if there is something wrong with my statement please feel free to critique me on that topic)
