- Instrument rating mock checkride. For the student pilot preparing for their test. A great example of what you may be asked on your test.

Low pressure=I.CC.U Inward counterclockwise upward
High pressure=C.O.D(call of duty) clockwise outwards downward
This is how I remember it!
Great video
That’s how I remember it too!
My instructor told me to think of screwdrivers! If you were trying to screw something in you would have high pressure pushing it downward, clockwise, outward and then if you were unscrewing you’d have less pressure to pull the screw out so upward, counter clockwise and inward (ICU OCD)
@@sydneybjorgumI like this method
Easiest way to remember is, just think about looking at a clock. You look up High to see a clock so High=Clockwise and the other is just opposite
Another way to think about it is to think of a toilet. Toilets typically spin clockwise as it flushes downward in the northern hemisphere. This is a design feature, so YMMV.
Any other pilots here trying to study up as much as they can before their instrument checkride? Mines the 10/5/2023
Mines 10/9/23
@@elchase920 best of luck!
@@brettmayhan4908you too. Thanks

Congratulations!
Thank you for sharing this. It is a big encouragement. We are planning on making a commercial one in the next couple weeks. Hopefully in time for your commercial checkride:).
are you guys related ?
I just started Ground Instrument and waiting for PPL checkride in a month, BUT I'm excited to see that this is here!
cold front usually worst weather unstable atmosphere 3+ degrees per 1000 ft, good visibility possible squall lines and showery weather warm front good visibility due to stable atmosphere 2 degrees every 1000 ft and steady rain if any
Thanks for the video I just passed my instrument check-ride!!!
Congratulations!
Oh my gosh yes, I’ve been waiting for you guys to make one ! Thank you !
Love these thanks guys
Love the videos, got my instrument checkride coming up on the 14th of this month. Wish I could get my brother into flying!
Same here man on the 14th 😂
Good luck! Got mine on the 14th as well. Let me know how it goes!
How did it go?
Passed! The oral portion of the checkride was a breeze. Now the flight portion was stressful lol. Intercepted and tracked a VOR to the VOR and away from the VOR to the airport. Then did ILS/RNAV, did a hold, procedure turn, unusual attitudes and then was pretty much done. Instrument was so fun, working on commercial maneuvers now.@@barhoomrmayti5443
Let's goooo!

@@WickYTcodm5 days till my checkride. Good luck with yours on Monday.
@@ahmadsamadzai8255 appreciate it bro
PPL student studying for IFR checkride. Only thing I'd think to mention is using your tools more. When it's asked what instruments are required, or if you can fly when the slip/skid is busted, show that you're allowed to look that up and don't waste time memorizing it. Personally, I almost explicitly don't want to memorize it. If I get in a new plane, I'm going to explicitly pull up 91.205 to make sure it's got everything it needs. If I get in the plane after the first time and something is broken, I'm referring back to 91.205 again. This way, if 205 ever changes, I'm not caught off-guard when referring to only my memory.
PWINO - means precipitation identifier information not available for A02 station with precipitation discriminator
Peak Wind Indicator inoperative
@stevelee0486 that is incorrect. PWINO - Precipitation Identifier sensor not available
good
Guys really appreciating your content, also can you add some pdf also related to IFR flying 😅😅😅😊
Next time, try not to record in a room that echos, I'm missing 50% of what's being said. But thanks for the video
Thanks for the feedback. We got a better microphone and found a new location as seen in our latest video. Still working to make these better for you guys. Thanks for watching.
