    • @blondeblue156
      @blondeblue156 Місяць тому

      @@Yo_ChinoThat's exactly the point. They're not on the same level, held to a much higher standard. If the LEO is terminated for committing an offense against department hiring policy, they cannot replace that officer with one who has done the same or even been charged or convicted of other offenses. And, there's a little law about being able to testify in court as an officer. If you're proven to have been convicted, your testimony will not and most likely cannot be used as one as being given from a trustworthy person with clean hands. One might not even qualify to be able to write a meter ticket. That's why it's so important to not get into trouble. That way when one gets done horsing around and decides to establish or have a change in career, they cannot have blemishes from their past. LE agencies are firm believers that a prime indicator of future behavior correlates to one's past behavior. I hope that helps a little.

      Psychopaths often get jobs as cops to facilitate their ability to harm others. Police departments do NOT do any sort of screening for it, and often keep them on duty through years of crimes, complaints and lawsuits.

      @gooblyframpleton Місяць тому +16

      Rejecting a field sobriety test is absolutely not an arrestable offense. They are entirely optional. The reason that people get arrested after rejecting one is that cops almost always already have probable cause for an OVI arrest before they even ask if people want to do the optional exercises. The point of field sobriety tests is for police to gather evidence to support an eventual conviction, not to establish probable cause for the arrest. That's the reason that most DUI lawyers advise people not to participate in the tests -- because all it does is strengthen the state's case for OVI.

      Yeah that was so unbelievably cringey to watch. The way that she didn’t speak Spanish but just put a weird accent on it. Then he said he was Dominican and instead of just admitting she can’t speak Spanish she acted disgusted by the fact he was Dominican before saying she speaks Italiano, but sounding like she doesn’t speak Italian either. It’s pathetic the way she is trying to get out of it by telling them she was a cop repeatedly, pretending to speak Spanish, flirting with the cop, drawing another officer into the situation and asking if he agreed with the way she was handling it. People like that are a massive problem waiting to happen for that department and they should be glad that she is gone now.

    The first chick was insufferable. Absolutely arrogant and disrespectful behavior. She has no business being in law enforcement in any capacity. You’re not only supposed to know the law(s) but also need to enforce it regardless of the occupation of the person you stop. There is no situation where you break the law and not be punished for it. It makes it worse that she expected the officers to look the other way.
