I always liked the Necromancer's fight because he doesn't use any dirty tricks like extra phases or lava pits or giant projectiles. He just summons some enemies, then fights you using abilities that mirror the ones you have (magic and sword techniques). Just makes it so much more fun to fight someone you are on equal standing with.
Thrak The Carrier Of The Moonlight its like a gauntlet but keep in mind he is extremely easy once you can actually fight him since blue night freezes him

You know, I just realized a disturbing fact about the Necromancer. Throughout the game, when the Necromancer revives the dead, they are mostly skeletons. The only reasons why the bodies are skeletons are because they were bodies from a graveyard and ash-covered corpses, both of which were long dead. In the boss fight though, he brings back corpses that aren't skeletons, but buffed enemies. Take into account that the arena is a *torture dungeon.* This means that to prepare for the fight with the knights, the Necromancer rounded up enemies from past levels, brought them to the dungeon, KILLED THEM ALL and waited for the knights to arrive so he can have fresh bodies to fight the knights instead of weak skeletons. I know that the Necromancer is supposed to be evil, but that is *BEYOND EVIL.* Welcome to my Ted-Talk, and this is why I believe that after the fight with the Evil Wizard, the Necromancer should have swooped in and have been the true final boss.
I like to think he just gathered up the bodies that you, the player killed. I mean, if you look at the first phase of the people he resurrects, it is only the people in the first half of the game.

Conehead groom is the best boss fight.(And accompanying fight song) the boss fights ecxacly like you and throws bombs at you while he fights you he goes sometimes to his organ and begins to play a new badass tune while shooting you with bunch of canons.
In truth, The Evil Wizard was a bit overrated. The Necromancer was a way more difficult boss because he forces to you to fight all the people you've killed. That and he himself fights you with badass necromancy.

Necromancer (or should I said his "minions") are way harder to kill than all 6 froms of Wizard. Crystals are easy to kill (you can attack them all at once, so they're "dead" after 2-3 attacks), Wizard - magic/melee, and he is using only 2 skills you can dodge easly, Balloon - no comment here, #juglingcombo , Spider - it COULD be the hardest part, but hey, we have sandwiches. Use sandwich and make juggling combo, so he can't even touch you, Balloon Form 2 - .... Demon Sword Part - I think they added this part just because of the sword. He needed a sword that players can got. Just don't let meteors hit you and you can end it easly. For me Necromancer (I mean his minions) are on my 1st place of the hardest bosses in the Castle Crashers. 2nd is Frost King (annoying teleportation and ice!) and 3rd... I think it's Groom Conehead.
It carries the whole boss theme feel so freakin well. everything screams tension and demands full focus from you and your opponent. It really drives home the "knock me down, here i come again" feel
In my opinion this is the most unique fight this game has, the tension and nerves that I felt the first time I entered the room, listened to the music, and saw how the Necromancer revived all the enemies I faced was totally incredible. To then face him and see that he fights in the same way that you do. This was the most interesting and iconic fight I had while playing Castle Crashers.
You know what I think should have happened at the end? Once you beat the wizard after he gets his sword, instead of the island collapsing, he calls the Necromancer to help him. The necromancer comes to his side. He gives a gesture telling the necromancer to "Have at them!" The first time, he ignores the wizard. He does the gesture again, no response from the necromancer. He just stands still. And then he hits the wizard off the cliff, and taking the crystal for himself. And then you fight him, and he has abilities that can 1 shot level 5.
PenguinPandaOne Yes, the necromancer looks like,a powerful as fuck just guy who wouldn't take orders lightly and, honestly, even though the characters don't speak, he does look like that. He shoud've killed the wizard himself then fought you again, except this time he revives BOSSES instead of normal enemies

Santenoturtle Killing the bastard himself was a breeze, just, Behemoth did him justice by music but not personal battle. The enemies before him were harder than this mofo but it still felt like I was kicking the hell out of a fallen knight as a hero. This needs a movie
The Necromancer is more of a Survival Gauntlet then a boss fight. At high enough defense he does a total of 19 damage with his sword, and only 20ish with his magic. My guess is he wanted you to survive the onslaught of enemies So you could kill him. But hey, I ain’t complaining. I get to take his badass sword.
I gotta say, I appreciate the fact you uploaded the music - a _lot_ of people would just go "TAKE IT ALL DOWN!" and not let anyone listen to their music freely but you at least uploaded it here. So thank you, sir.

Necromancer was the best fight. The best song, the best concept, the best buildup, and I love the idea of fighting someone of equal strength. This whole time, you've been building yourself up for this fight with a guy who can literally raise the dead like nothing. It's so satisfying to win this fight.

Honestly, while playing on insane mode, the second wave of enemies was *WAY* more of a challenge than the Necromancer himself was. (and this song Is also still a banger to this day)

Perhaps the four approaching warriors will now stand a chance? It is possible, but they will have to commit all their training to defeat this powerful foe.
I finally got the chance to play Castle Crashers recently, and hearing this while fighting one of the most coolest looking bosses in the game made me pause and just listen to the music alone. This is just a masterpiece, and you did a truly fantastic job.

I remember this boss fight. The first time my brother and I faced him down, we played all the way there together. When the song starts going off, you know what I mean, we both just lost it. Still remains one of my favorite video game boss battle songs to this day.
Ok so the first time I tried Castle Crashers, i hated it. I thought it was just another "button mashing" game. One day im on youtube and i see this in my recommended. i hear this and no joke it motivated me to retry the game. Im now a severe addict attempting insane mode. God bless and good work!

i just looked at the wiki,and i saw that the Necromancer actually has the most health in the game on Normal Mode and Insane Mode,so how come does the Wizard have less hp?
This track is def my favorite, you killed it! Also, I agree Necro would've made a fantastic badass final boss/main villain. Though I think the reason Evil Wizard was the way he was, was probably because this is more of a lighthearted funny game. I know the final princess gives us a big final funny moment, but y'all gotta admit that the goofy evil wizard fits the game's theme pretty well. Not to say Necro doesn't fit in the game, their seriousness contrasts really well with everything else and makes them more creepy and cool!

Castle Crashers was legit my favorite game growing up. I remember my uncle bringing his friends over to play it on their Xbox and I would join in with them and tag along with the adventure. It was and has always been a game that I enjoy playing and the fact it took me YEARS to realize this song wasn't just called "Necromancers theme" make me feel like a dumb ass But fr tho this song is what started off part of my love for music so thank you for giving it an actual name lmao
Necromancer is the only boss I didn't spammed magic to easily destroy it, it was a fair battle because of the huge respect I have for it as a boss, mixing magic and melee in the battle was a great addition
This boss fight was my favorite because not just how he mirrors your moves, but the satisfaction of fighting every enemy you faced from start to finish in one area is just unbelievable and I just think it is really amazing for players to experience this boss fight.
BEST BOSS FIGHT HANDS DOWN. Aside from all the minion spam, fighting the actual necromancer feels so intense, guttural and fierce. No tricks, just sword to sword combat.
I am surprised this boss has the most intense horrifying soundtrack in human history whereas the Evil Wizard has the most non horrific theme and is also less deadly than the dude who summons literal people you've killed just shows that the Necromancer didn't need the Wizard to win he could've collected as many dead knights, brutes, and bosses and used them to kill the Castle Crashers.

I remember when I fought the boss I was playing with my friend who was around level 11 during the necromancer fight because he didn’t play much, I just remember him dying soon after fighting the summons and I had to solo the fight. The boss theme just made the fight 10x better, and at the end of the fight I was really sweaty

I dont think it was the final boss because this crazy intense theme is more fitting for swarms of enemies rather than one evil/ominous character

The Necromancer is more of a Survival Gauntlet then a boss fight. At high enough defense he does a total of 19 damage with his sword, and only 20ish with his magic. My guess is he wanted you to survive the onslaught of enemies So you could kill him. But hey, I ain’t complaining. I get to take his badass sword.
If we ever get a Castle Crashers sequel, this guy has to be the new main villain.
The Necromancer was revealed to still be alive so if there is a Castle Crashers 2 he has GOT to be the villian

Necromancer was the best fight. The best song, the best concept, the best buildup, and I love the idea of fighting someone of equal strength. This whole time, you've been building yourself up for this fight with a guy who can literally raise the dead like nothing. It's so satisfying to win this fight.

I remember this boss fight. The first time my brother and I faced him down, we played all the way there together. When the song starts going off, you know what I mean, we both just lost it. Still remains one of my favorite video game boss battle songs to this day.

Also, I agree Necro would've made a fantastic badass final boss/main villain. Though I think the reason Evil Wizard was the way he was, was probably because this is more of a lighthearted funny game. I know the final princess gives us a big final funny moment, but y'all gotta admit that the goofy evil wizard fits the game's theme pretty well.
Not to say Necro doesn't fit in the game, their seriousness contrasts really well with everything else and makes them more creepy and cool!

Necromancer is the only boss I didn't spammed magic to easily destroy it, it was a fair battle because of the huge respect I have for it as a boss, mixing magic and melee in the battle was a great addition
This boss fight was my favorite because not just how he mirrors your moves, but the satisfaction of fighting every enemy you faced from start to finish in one area is just unbelievable and I just think it is really amazing for players to experience this boss fight.

I am surprised this boss has the most intense horrifying soundtrack in human history whereas the Evil Wizard has the most non horrific theme and is also less deadly than the dude who summons literal people you've killed just shows that the Necromancer didn't need the Wizard to win he could've collected as many dead knights, brutes, and bosses and used them to kill the Castle Crashers.

He died but since all of his magic is about living twice he revived himself.

I remember when I fought the boss I was playing with my friend who was around level 11 during the necromancer fight because he didn’t play much, I just remember him dying soon after fighting the summons and I had to solo the fight. The boss theme just made the fight 10x better, and at the end of the fight I was really sweaty
