I actually found FamilyJules channel searching for covers of it back in 2012, 2013ish. To hear you cover this hit me right in the nostalgia bone. Thank you and please don't stop doing what you do.
Same here! I actually was planning to have like a Castle Crashers inspired campaign, and using the music from the game. I needed a theme for the Necromancer inspired bossfight and this is what I exactly needed!
God what a classic game. Never beats it with simplicity and just funny moments. And the music. God the music. Forest, necromancer. Hell the main theme. And the characters. One of my favorite games of all times. Gave me and my cousin hours of fun
The Necromancer is still my favorite boss design from that game, and there was an awesome theme to go with the character. This cover brought me right back to that fight, with him flying around and summoning up some corpses to fight. I especially loved the little swordfight at the end.
It's super enjoyable and approachable, but it also gets challenging. I like the pacing of the difficulty; if it's your first gaming experience, like it was mine, it can be difficult from the get-go, but it's also good at teaching you how to play without feeling like it's holding your hand too much; if it's not your first video game, the first levels are still really fun because of the art and humor(which persist throughout the entire game), and the simplicity of how the story is set up (princesses are kidnapped by evil wizard, and you, the knight/s, must go save them); the enemies also sort of level up along with the player, gaining new abilities and behaviors with each level passed. The game is also incredibly single-player and multiplayer friendly by nature, something The Behemoth is really good at. All of the music is also really well-chosen (and awesome imo) and unique enough to be iconically Castle Crashers music, even though most of it isn't necessarily exclusive to the game, since it's indie. The characters (including the monsters, grunts, and forest animals with ten seconds of screentime) are all really fun and cool, and idk this game just is awesome

It is truly the greatest boss theme. Nothing quite encapsulates the pure terror and amazing fight that ensued (probably the hardest in the entire game.)

I was fighting necromancer when the beat dropped right as the 1v1 started

Most of the other tracks in this game are goofy and whimsical, then you get to THIS dude and you’re serenaded by some of the hardest shit known to man
