That’s not that easy. I worked for this deal. I was researching the entire Europe and the same day I found this van I was ready with cash to buy. We were considering buying the same year before for 5k and the entire layout would be different. We wouldn’t have enough money to finish it the way it is now.
This is one of the most organized vans I’ve seen. Very impressive and everything has been so miticulesrly designed. My wife and I are dreaming about selling everything and hitting the road. We have about 7 years till I retire but we are doing everything we can now to get ourselves ready. Watching videos like these really make my day. Thanks a bunch for sharing?

I knew principles of direct current and I just talked to a friend electrician where I should have fuses and how thick cables to use. I believe you can read about it online.
Electrical isn’t too difficult with UA-cam, the internet and books. But if it really is the difference you can go to Home Depot and ask the electrical guy there 🤷♀️ their actually pretty damn helpful 😆😇✌️
As a licensed RV technician I can honestly say that doing your own 12 volt is really easy with some basic research. It gets more involved the more you want to add, but unless you’re trying to wire for 110/120v AC it’s really easy and safe to do with a tool in one hand and a phone running google in the other. One of the big things is just watch where you ground to, a bad ground connection is the reason for most of the electrical malfunctions I have to fix. For doing AC I would recommend just wiring in a simple inverter and not trying to run a bunch of plugs. 12v DC gives you a little tingle if you get shocked, AC is a lot more dangerous. It can cause your muscles to seize so if you don’t have help to get you off the live wire you’re stuck praying a fuse/breaker blows to stop the power before it leaves you extra crispy.
Nice build, best I've seen for desk table pull out utilizing the driver seat. Genius, on the bed raise, portable tray for her laptop, step peg stow away and movie night screen/projector.

I researched the entire internet for second hand parts and cheap items I used like stove, water pump, sink... the van was a good deal too but in pretty bad shape. I did see one video where it did have windows but had a special type of paint so from the outside, they don't look like windows, but more like panels in the side. I'm trying to find it again. I wish I had saved it at the time. I'm also wondering if someone does some stealth-type small cameras that can be fitted to the outside of the van so that you can see all around, if you're inside. They would have night vision/infra red.
This is one of the best, most ergonomic and stylish van conversions I've ever seen. And for such a crazy low price too! You two are wizards! I hope you're still traveling and loving life.

I'm a super minimalist in planning on selling my house in the near future either living on a boat, tiny home or mobile, I love the idea of having just a couple of utensils in a couple of plates and the way you hang your equipment in your kitchen and the way you designed this home on wheels is completely different from everyone else ! We don’t have a toilet. Feels like unnecessary to have a small, dedicated area for one purpose in this small space. It stinks, we would have to be cleaning it. We don’t see a reason why to have one just to be comfortable for few minutes a day. We have a dedicated shovel for this purpose and in cities we do gas stations or public toilets. We are happy this way, and it’s a trouble free life!
No engineering background. Yeah, I love these projects and it totally swallows me. I live and breath through it for certain period. I am a cabinet maker by trade and when traveling I purposely switch jobs often. I noticed I learn the most first 3 months and later it becomes just a routine. So I worked as a furniture designer for few months, worked on cnc machine, worked in motorhome conversion company. I found this very entertaining to always be with some skilled professionals and learn as much as possible from them.
Beautiful build! You’ve given me several ideas but by far the best is the secret storage space. I’m incorporating an actuated bed to help with my wheelchair transforming. I had planned on using the under bed space for general storage and will. But I’ll now have a secure space for my camera gear while in the cities. Thanks!
@@Brooderful On roads it's ok when I use the first power mode. It limits top speed to 25km/h and reduces acceleration. Nobody ever stopped me to ask tho :)

We spent $6000 overall including the van! Lot of online researching, lot of improvising and lot of second hand parts.

Actual projector screen. I routered grove in the bed side and glued the screen shell in garage side. Works great and saves space.

@@Brooderful On roads it's ok when I use the first power mode. It limits top speed to 25km/h and reduces acceleration. Nobody ever stopped me to ask tho :)
