I have been binge watching Van Conversions recently and I have to say between all of the at least 50 Van videos I have watched, yours was the perfect and most practical one! Really Amazing! I wish I could have this experience aswell:)

For a van with limited space you guys packed everything into it (down to the dog sweaters...lol) and it just seems to go on and on....every convenience possible. Very smart build....and so glad to see someone build out a van that is not wall to wall wood. Yours is so bright and airy. Job well done. I would gladly trade my 2000 sq foot home to have a van like yours.
Robin Brown I completely agree with you,cu on everything you've said. It is so refreshing to see a van build that is so bright and airy and doesn't look mujhe the inside of a sauna (not that I don't enjoy a good sauna sometimes lol). I can so very readily picture myself living in this can instead of my 2 story house! No rent and way less stress!

I love that this has space for creativity and a REAL bathroom. This makes the van life seem like a real home on wheels instead of just a makeshift setup most vanlifers have.
I'm an avid van life follower and have watched many many builds. I think yours is the BEST I've seen. So many can lifers go without a toilet and shower and I imagine you guys use public toilets when you can. For me adding those 2 facilities makes van life the ultimate self sufficient life. LOVE IT.
Ya we could definitely go without it but its nice to have the option!
Love the van. There are not enough designs with showers/bathrooms. You've given me more ideas for my Van. Plus AC for the dog, that's bomb.
We went 2 years without a shoer or bathroom in our previous build and we are definitely so grateful it now! It's a van life game changer.
Honestly, my favorite van I've seen yet. The espresso machine, the farmhouse style sink, the little witchy vibes from the quartz door knobs. PERFECTION!
The van looks amazing, very functional as well as stylish. You should both be very proud of what you have achieved.

rinse the urine container with a little vinegar, then put a splash or two in the bottom when you put the container back.... i saw a video where they said that it really helped with the urine odor. idk if it works but vinegar is dirt cheap and its worth a try i guess.
Or you could just drop one of those blue toilet tablets

i think white vinegar is a very good option out of the other types when it comes to cleaning things like this
Also spray rinse a vinegar: water/solution in the urine separator after each use. Covering the opening with a plug or silicon flap or something will help enormously

I like ! I like the fact that the van can blend in and doesn’t really look like someone live in it,basically you can park anywhere.trying to convince the family to let’s ditch the high rent

Looking at all the facilities i am convinced that if you need to own a motorhome, there is nothing better than owning a sprinter and converting it. Space/Money wise. Brilliant conversion ever made on a sprinter van. Hats off.
Ok. First- this is the first review I've ever written. If I could give you 10 👍 thumbs up I would. this van is PERFECTION. I'm designing my own Sprinter that we will build in the spring. My crude sketch of my wish design incorporates everything that you've already created. I'll make a couple of miniscule changes; create a slightly more L-shaped corner sofa where your bench is. I'll try and put in a "vessel" (top-mounted bowl) kitchen sink, but if not a vessel sink, then the farmhouse sink you used is really smart. I have an idea for corner "closets" in the bed area, but honestly your design is about the best I've ever seen in a year and a half of research, watching hundreds of van build videos. Thanks a million for sharing your work. Very impressive.

Very cool van! Love the wet room door. You guys pilled out all the stops with the Lagun table leg, flares and hot water! That is living the dream. Just shows hard work and being good peoples pays off. Happy adventures in your new home!!
This is quite literally the most well put together van conversion. It is extremely practical, and seems to require everything needed for on the road living. I suppose the coffee machine could easily be swapped out for a microwave. This is my go to video for references on van conversions now.

Good thing about watching all these van conversion videos is you can design your own van using the best features out of everybody else's designs and put them together for your ultimate van conversion .

This is the best van I've seen, I love the little kennel with AC, I'm going to add something like that to my van for my cat! The rainbow stickers and the quartz were nice touches, so awesome!

nice setup!! A home without a complete bathroom is not a home. Yours is a complete home, impressive! Question about your batteries, are they Lithium? If not, then u only have 200ahm to use. Is it enough to power the induction cooktop and frig and coffee maker? Totally like your skylight sunroof!!

Pour a cup of vinegar in the bottom of the urine container. It will lessen the smell of urine.

A stronger acid like lemon juice would work as well, the main idea is to balance the alkalinity of the urine which contains ammonia (high pH, very basic). Lemon juice is a lot more acidic than vinegar and will reduce the smell the most.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this video. Just about to start my Sprinter 170 build and I picked up a few great ideas from this! Love the dog area. I was going to put mine under the bed, but takes so much space from the garage. Love this. And the natural edge Lagune table is epic. And the rock climbing things for the ladder. Love it! Thanks. Great build guys! Very clean, minimal look. Craftmanship game is on point! The attention to detail is spot on. I like the AC for the dog, never saw this before in a camper van build. Don't really understand how anyone full timing can live in a van without toilet and shower, huge improvement over your first build. I could see you guys converting vans as a business? I love the skylight over the bed. I am not fond of windows on the walls, reduces "stealth" factor, security issues and makes heating and cooling more difficult. Induction hot plate is where its at! I've seen someone connect a drain hose to the bottom of the pee container so it can be collected in a much larger tank under the van. Less emptying and moves the foul liquid further away. Curious any issues with rocks getting stuck in the dulleys when going off road? Did you install any undercarriage skid plates or protection? Any suspension improvements?I would think the base cabinet drawer handles would catch on clothes? Although wood is cheap and easier to work with, its also heavy. Did you ever consider using 80/20 or other type of extruded aluminum channel for the bones of the van? Will definitely pick up the van manual when I'm ready to start my conversion, thanks!
THank you. We realized quickly that we needed a bathroom in order to really enjoy full time van living. We've considering converting vans but we decided against it. We already run a successful creative studio full time that we really enjoy :) We haven't had any issues wuth rocks..and we definitely want to get some suspension improvements! We considered aluminum but it was more expensive and we figured wood was fine because we could have more weight in this van. :)
This van is the cats meow. 6 years I’m retiring and building. My wife said your bathroom style is a must. Bravo

Kayla Worley That’s my fear of Van life.... putting all this time and money into something that can be stolen/towed/damaged etc. I’d rather buy a house for a home base, then hop around in a basic camper van when I can.
The fact the van life people on youtube don't tend to answer this question is an answer in itself. They spend shit loads of money on this. Doing it all yourself certainly saves a huge amount but it will some time and some mistakes to get it all finished. How much is six months of your time worth..?
The only get out of jail free card I can see is that if you do a good enough job on the conversion and then decide to sell it later after not enjoying 'van life' I guess you might be able to break even our maybe turn a small profit.
I’ve seen lower quality DIYs done for $10,00 Canadian (plus the cost of the van itself) so I can’t imagine this being less than that.
It definitely gets pricy, but compared to a normal house which can cost 100x that, it still saves money
This is what happens when people who actually live in a van go through an iteration to make it better based on experience.
This is how things get better and more functional. I really liked the garage part with the bikes and snowboards.

Impressive. It amazes me how many ways a van can be converted to a home on wheels. You pretty much got everything in there - even a dedicated area for your sweet dog Zero.
Haha well, we've been doing it for over two years and we're still not tired of it. Although we did get tired of our last van. It did not have all of the amenities we needed to feel comfortable.

@@DynamoUltima I noticed that your installation of the Heki 2 is the non-conventional way. You've installed it with the long edge running the length of the roof rather than across it. I am tempted to do the same thing but am concerned with water coming in while driving at highway speed in a heavy down pour. Are the 4 sides of the Heki created equally so to allow for mounting in which ever direction?
I'm pretty sure I've watched every van conversion on UA-cam and yours is by far my favorite. A SHOWER! It can be done. I can't imagine living somewhere than doesn't have a toilet and shower. The idea of pulling a porta potty out and squatting in front of my partner, or always being tied to showering at truck stops or at the gym just doesn't seem practical to me. Part of the appeal of living in a van is being able to travel and be active. That means trudging through dirt, mud and mosquitoes while slathered in sunscreen...and doing this without a way to bathe off at night is just not my idea of living the dream. Great job on your conversion! Really do love it!
If you are soo exited about a shower in a van then I am pretty sure you haven't seen "every van conversion on UA-cam". ;-) Because there are actually a couple of van conversions that include a shower. But this one is for sure a nice one.

Out of all the van life videos I have watched this one is my fav
if the 200 amp hours of batteries are not lithium you really only have about 100 amp hours since you shouldnt drain them to under 50 percent.... at least that is what i have been told. even agm batteries shouldnt be drained way down. idk. but i thought it worth mentioning. unless you have 400 amp hours but only have 200 useable amp hours.

It looks awesome! Real Scandinavian feel to the design and love how you’ve got your snowboard and bikes in the back and still made space for a shower and toilet! We’ve recently moved onto a narrowboat and top tip for the urine smell is a small amount of bio washing powder, it neutralises the bacteria that causes the smell. Obviously you can only use it if you’re disposing it either in a toilet or somewhere that is t in the environment 😊

I just got a van and am currently converting it. I just promised myself that I would take it one step at a time with investing in too many luxuries before I got a chance to see if it would be a sustainable lifestyle for me. But I hear the resale value on these things is incredible. Just might be worth the try....
