COrsair with 4 S5 M7As + 2 S4 Deadbolts (or gatlins) can be deadly combo, if you run out of ballistics, the 4 S5s hit hard!. Connie is good too because missile you get (though if you have a fully crewed corsair, that thign is deadly). Redeemer is good too. Remember, soft kill, and pick up the cargo, if you're in atmo, kite target over to where you loose the ladders on the hud and then ship won't drop and you can get a lot of valuable cargo on ERTs.
i have been rocking the corsair with 4 deadbolt V and 2 deadbolt 2 and stock rockets. it works great. but the ship doesnt have the health if the situation gets a bit sticky. im doing this on VHRT. im not on ERT yet but i have done a few of them with my org and i stilled used the corsair and its no problem. i do want to try the warden
In ERT i use the buccaneer with all MX cannons. Snipe turrets on hammerhead and just destroy everything else outright. Scatterguns are trash at ranges over 400m vs big targets and 200m vs small. And if you're doing ERT most targets are big, BUT the servers are shit and the ships can teleport backwards sometime so you don't want to stay that close to them incase they teleport into you. Also, try not to yaw. Roll and use pitch with up and down lateral movement instead. If you yaw you get less turn rate and add instability on various ships.
i am playing with lag pip, now that i have seen your video i do believe that lag pip is currently bugged, as i often find myself perfectly aligning it to the target but when i shoot it doesnt turn green but remains red. sometimes i even run out of ammo while fighting the target
Thanks :) To be fair, this was a lucky hit. Go to erkul.games (on PC) and on the left side you can select missiles to see all statistics. Strikeforce 2 Missiles do 2.058 Physical Damage and have a small explosion radius. In theory, as the shields have gone down AND the ship crashed to the planet, I assume that I hit one or both of the Hammerhead''s SuperDrive Power Plants with an HP of 1.296 each. Further assuming that the Hull did 50% Physical Damage reduction (as it should), I think that I must have hit with two missiles. So a lucky shot...
I agree that ballistic weapons are generally more effective, but with that abd state of the servers, sometimes your shots doesn't get registered by the game, so you can run out of ammo mid fight.
How about mixed loadouts? Laser cannons + ballistic cannons. More capacitor for the lasers than running full laser cannons. For the vanguards maybe 4 MVSA and a deadbolt V.
Yeah, always had a big Deadbolt in the old patch, and after testing a bit now in 3.23, the capacitor indeed is much bigger. Also mixing in a Distortion did not help, so maybe mixing in or full Ballistics is the way to go? I will try your loadout! Thanks! :)
Tested the vanguard with Deadbolt and MVSA. Problem is the deadbolt overheating and stopping me from shooting when everything was left mouse button :) So you need to split Energy and Ballistics to different mouse buttons. Mixing in a distortion did not seem to work well. Will test full energy weapons next.
I tested the Eclipse with Invictus and it misses 1 time by 3. But maybe it is because of the torpedo type. It could work better with other torpedo choice. And some repeaters are bad. For example, i tried Gladius with 3 panther repeaters on HRT and i had hard time with them. Maybe Attrition works better.
Great video! Very informative. Ballistics are so much fun to use, but the ammo efficiency on them is horrendous. Having to use half your ammo to take out one target makes them a pain!
True.... that's a reason, why currently I am grinding VHRT targets most of the time. They are much easier than ERT and you can do them with either Ballistics or Laser cannons.
Unfortunately, the Corsair is one of the strongest ships, even in solo play. Otherwise, I also like to use the Scorp with 4x S3 Laser Canons solo, it doesn't do much damage and I like the option of being able to do something with two people. Unfortunately, the Ion currently feels totally rubbish with the new mechanics (I love the charged shot, but you should just be able to hold it for a few seconds) and the Inferno is still ok but unfortunately not nearly as good as it was before I then play it with 2x S5 torps to get straight ships of the 400, Cutty Steel (a real measurement because of the large ship hp) and the like
I seriously ask this ridiculous question. How possible do you think it is to use a Drake Dragonfly or Nox for bounties? Before master modes I used the Nox for LRTs, but gave up progressing due to frequent bugs (not related to combat though, but not finding the ship I transported the nox in). How high of a bounty do you think you could go? Especially with the circling technique, which should be very possible in a snub like the hoverbikes.
For the scatter gun setup with a f7a, you shouldnt strafe so much, its yaw its MUCH faster, so pulling the nose up is the most agile, just use your boost to get behind the target, increase your front shields by one level if you have a bigger ship / shields where its possible, and you will need no further boost from then because staying behind is very easy. And you can land 90% of the scatter shots = much faster ttk
man i can take out an 890 with my cutty and ndbs just sit and target one thruster and ctrl+Siht to follow the 890s path and A & D when youre fetting shot from behind. also razzel dazzel it up every so often so you dont get rammed
The exact same analysis I came up with. Will add - the Singe-3 tacnhyon guns - not great. Even with 6 on an F7A. The Dominance 3 scatterguns are way better. Attritions can be surprisingly good on some builds. Otherwise it's always M series or Omnisky laser cannons for me personally because I like to finish all of the targets and ballistics tend to run out of ammo on the higher end, tankier bounties. PS flying decoupled will improve your aim!
@@dj-firefly3901 Nice! It's basically flying, but with zero counter-thrust to slow you down again. So you drift a lot, and need to manage both speeding up & slowing on every axis. Smooth though!
Had the issue, that the Hammerhead would open fire at short range and destroy the torpedo. Retested yesterday and hit 2 out of 3 Torps. Shot the last two at under 3 km and boosted my Eclipse close to the target as a distraction. That seems to work.
I'm really struggling with MRTs in my cutlass. I just get swarmed and under constant, unavoiable fire. Dead with in seconds. Could you share some tactics?
BH in a Spirit? 🤔 I tried that once and it was terrible. It was an easy bounty, but getting hit almost instantly stripped my shields and no amount of boosting would let me avoid shots, the ship was just too slow and too big.
@@SuperCuriosities I do not own an F8, unfortunately. However, if you go full Scatter Lasers, the DPS is even higher than the F7A. Maybe anyone already tested this?
I can't find any information on the size 9 torpedoes in 3.23. how are you supposed to use them against hammerheads, every torpedo ive fired has been shot down
Eclipse does not work very well for me currently. Shout out to @Cpt_Foxyloxy who did some videos recenty, how to improve your aim with torps. Need to test that out yet, but sounds promissing.
don't you want some cargo for the higher rated bounties incase they drop good cargo? (i'm new to this patch and trying to get a grasp for it when I unlock it). Right now I have an f7a mk2 but thinking of what ship to save up for VHRT+
Hi herbv, that depends. Sometimes I go bounty hunting with my group of 4 players, then depending on our mood we go for hunting Bounties, then clear the cargo, then salvage the ship. In this video, I played alone and focus was purely on testing out the bounty hunting part. But generally: Do what game loop you like best! If that includes looting cargo... then go for it. :) Currently I like the Constellation a lot for ERT or VHRT Bounties. (I do not own a Corsair, but one of my friends uses one for those missions as well)
@@dj-firefly3901 nice - just rented a conny taurus from the show to test it out! i love my fighters but might need something a little bigger. I play solo quite a bit for now and having the option to pickup cargo would be nice.
Yes, Attrition 5 are my choice for Laser Repeaters too. To be honest, I have not tested them much, because I mostly need them for moving targets and prefer to do that with a more nimble ship. For bigger targets I prefer Laser Cannons for their Capacitor Efficiency and lower decay / higher DPS stability at range. Attrition 5 however are on my list for further testing on the C2 and Taurus.

Avenger Titan was my Starter :) good choice !! But to be very honest, she is really fragile. Tried a MRT Mission and oh boy, getting hit by the Buccaneers Ballistics really hurts. Go to erkul.games and try out what makes sense for you. Personally, I would find weapons with matching Ammo speed, as two pips drive me crazy. Full Deadbolt Cannons will work, but also maybe full Dominance-3 Scatter Lasers, which brings you the highest DPS, if you can hit. Just tried some MRT Missions with Scatter Lasers and I think that works fine for me. Had an Anvil Arrow as a target and could not hit it perfectly all the time, but with the big spread, always some bullets found its mark. Good luck !!
@@dj-firefly3901 Awesome, Ill take a look around and play with the builds. The deadbolt was a great suggestion, I didn't even know there was a shield puncher! Thanks for the video and reply :D
For me it is Deadbolt V Cannons for VHRT and ERT all the time. . Start with a missile barrage. For HRT or lower, or if you are a real good pilot, who can stay behind the target constantly, shooting the same angle, then it is M7As. :)
i agree with all but the Ion. that poor ship so ripped into so hard. and the mechanic of the gun feels like dogshit. they nerfed her again for no reason. Camural made a perfect video of how bad she is now.
Go to one of the monitors, switch to "menu" on the top-left corner. Go to the Weapons section, select Guns and switch all guns to 0 or 1. Note that there is currently a bug. Settings will fall back to default (left and right) constantly.
Not sure yet. I just think up to MRT missions, the loadout is not the biggest issue. Basically your DPS is more than enough, with any loadout. Personally I am not a fan of mixed loadouts, I would go either full lasers or full ballistics. Going MRT max I would probably go Laser Cannons.
Unfortunately, it is not. It is still tough, but with the new mechanics, you will need most of the ballistic ammo to hit accurately, or rely on Energy Weapons instead. It is still a capable fighter, but I would do VHRT missions instead of ERT.

i have been rocking the corsair with 4 deadbolt V and 2 deadbolt 2 and stock rockets. it works great. but the ship doesnt have the health if the situation gets a bit sticky. im doing this on VHRT. im not on ERT yet but i have done a few of them with my org and i stilled used the corsair and its no problem.
i do want to try the warden
In ERT i use the buccaneer with all MX cannons. Snipe turrets on hammerhead and just destroy everything else outright.
Scatterguns are trash at ranges over 400m vs big targets and 200m vs small. And if you're doing ERT most targets are big, BUT the servers are shit and the ships can teleport backwards sometime so you don't want to stay that close to them incase they teleport into you.
Also, try not to yaw. Roll and use pitch with up and down lateral movement instead. If you yaw you get less turn rate and add instability on various ships.
Thanks for sharing! Sounds good!
i am playing with lag pip, now that i have seen your video i do believe that lag pip is currently bugged, as i often find myself perfectly aligning it to the target but when i shoot it doesnt turn green but remains red. sometimes i even run out of ammo while fighting the target
Very nice, good information.
this video was great! i need some more info on missiles tho, like why did you shut off that hammerhead with just a few size 2 missiles??
True. Free fly week always comes with performance issues. Luckily, I only had ammo depleted on a bad server once with the C2 and gatlings loadout.
Thanks! :)
Been very effective with my corsair. 4xs5 ballistic cannons and 2xs4 laser cannons
Unfortunately, the Ion currently feels totally rubbish with the new mechanics (I love the charged shot, but you should just be able to hold it for a few seconds) and the Inferno is still ok but unfortunately not nearly as good as it was before I then play it with 2x S5 torps to get straight ships of the 400, Cutty Steel (a real measurement because of the large ship hp) and the like
Nice video Thanks
I seriously ask this ridiculous question. How possible do you think it is to use a Drake Dragonfly or Nox for bounties? Before master modes I used the Nox for LRTs, but gave up progressing due to frequent bugs (not related to combat though, but not finding the ship I transported the nox in).
How high of a bounty do you think you could go? Especially with the circling technique, which should be very possible in a snub like the hoverbikes.
Interesting, never tried that to be honest :) Anyone else?
For the scatter gun setup with a f7a, you shouldnt strafe so much, its yaw its MUCH faster, so pulling the nose up is the most agile, just use your boost to get behind the target, increase your front shields by one level if you have a bigger ship / shields where its possible, and you will need no further boost from then because staying behind is very easy. And you can land 90% of the scatter shots = much faster ttk
I switched to Typhoons. They seem to ignore them
I have heard this many times
man i can take out an 890 with my cutty and ndbs just sit and target one thruster and ctrl+Siht to follow the 890s path and A & D when youre fetting shot from behind. also razzel dazzel it up every so often so you dont get rammed
Will try that, thanks for sharing :)
Wow, tested flying decoupled, don't fully understand the controls and move vectors yet, but turns are way faster!
@@dj-firefly3901 Nice! It's basically flying, but with zero counter-thrust to slow you down again. So you drift a lot, and need to manage both speeding up & slowing on every axis. Smooth though!
Great vid! Is a bucanneer a ciable option for ERT's?
Anyone got an ideea how to farm faster rep for bounty ? Stuck at vhrts for a long long time now
I’m having 100% success rate with Typhoon torpedos on ERTs. Always one shots them.
Of course torpedoes Will one shot noob
@@juniorfan7a Seekers don’t always one shot, noob
they dont shoot your torps down?
@@Maligxxx hasnt happened yet
Had the issue, that the Hammerhead would open fire at short range and destroy the torpedo. Retested yesterday and hit 2 out of 3 Torps. Shot the last two at under 3 km and boosted my Eclipse close to the target as a distraction. That seems to work.
I'm really struggling with MRTs in my cutlass. I just get swarmed and under constant, unavoiable fire. Dead with in seconds. Could you share some tactics?
I'm surprised you didn't test out the F8C, assuming that you have it
No, unfortunately, I do not own the F8. Such a nice looking ship....
@@dj-firefly3901 bummer. it is a lovely ship. even if the current meta doesn't treat it well
BH in a Spirit? 🤔
I tried that once and it was terrible. It was an easy bounty, but getting hit almost instantly stripped my shields and no amount of boosting would let me avoid shots, the ship was just too slow and too big.
Yes, you are right. I just love that ship and always look for a reason to use it. Up to MRT is easy, then it gets really challenging.
@@dj-firefly3901is the F8C good to run ERT solo?
@@SuperCuriosities I do not own an F8, unfortunately. However, if you go full Scatter Lasers, the DPS is even higher than the F7A.
Maybe anyone already tested this?
I can't find any information on the size 9 torpedoes in 3.23. how are you supposed to use them against hammerheads, every torpedo ive fired has been shot down
Same for me. Shout out to @cpt_foxyloxy who did some videos recently, how to improve your aim with torps. Will test that out! Looks good...
What about torp boats like the eclipse and tali?
hammerheads must suck if 1 fighter can take them down or AI gunners suck.
Currently I like the Constellation a lot for ERT or VHRT Bounties.
@@dj-firefly3901 just rented the conny Taurus , pretty good ship
I have a Taurus was thinking attrition 5 laser repeaters and rattler 2 rockets ? What would u recommend if not for most dps
@@dj-firefly3901 I plan on equipping attrition 5 on my 4 size 5 and 2 laser cannons on the turret for a friend and then going rattler 2 rockets hoping that setup works for ert
Thank you for the video! may I ask what you would run on an Avenger Titan for PVE? I was saving for a C-788/ M5A build. Would that be worth the wait? I'm new so all I have is the titan haha
What should I use for my Connie Andromeda? Was thinking 4 M7A's but not sure
Hey question how did you made all dominance on the same side?
Go to one of the monitors, switch to "menu" on the top-left corner. Go to the Weapons section, select Guns and switch all guns to 0 or 1. Note that there is currently a bug. Settings will fall back to default (left and right) constantly.
So recommended loadout for Cutlass Black is the default loadout?
Not sure yet. I just think up to MRT missions, the loadout is not the biggest issue. Basically your DPS is more than enough, with any loadout. Personally I am not a fan of mixed loadouts, I would go either full lasers or full ballistics. Going MRT max I would probably go Laser Cannons.
Hi nice video is the c2 in ur opinion still the best ship for bounties ?
Unfortunately, it is not. It is still tough, but with the new mechanics, you will need most of the ballistic ammo to hit accurately, or rely on Energy Weapons instead. It is still a capable fighter, but I would do VHRT missions instead of ERT.
@@dj-firefly3901 hm ok sad do u have a other choice for a good Allrounder I should buy instead? Maby constellation Taurus or Corsair ?
@@elpek2085things change a lot and 4.0 will change again. So I will not buy a ship any more, just because it is good now. I will buy the ships I like and that are cool.
Both matches for the Taurus, it is also a good alrounder currently :) But I think about upgrading mine to an Andromeda, when the next worbond comes.
Bro did you even watch a single minute lmao
geiler deutscher akzent ;)
Lol...danke :)
Aurora ftw
Dude, just Eclipse that shit down.
Does your Eclipse work fine? I tried the usual 10km snipe torp. But at close range, the Hammerhead opens fire and destroys the torp.
Last test was only successful at below 3km. What is your experience?
Auf Deutsch wärs besser gewesen, aber immerhin informativ. 👍
lol he saw Cpt_Foxyloxy's Shotgun F7A video and copied it then pretended he came up with the idea. Scrub.
Actually inspiration came from @Teknonel

Silly commenter. Lots of people are trying different loadouts in the game right now. Anyone putting in the actual work knows that things can be different in reality versus what various streamers are saying. We are all collecting data right now.
yea not gonna take advice from a guy who plays with default vjoy...
and u shoot a 400i with gimbaled guns like seriously loosing 1/3 of your dps, maybe that is why you are recommending ballistics for ERTs???
If you play anything else besides m7a or m6a for ERT you are doing it wrong.
True, not a pro gamer here, just a fun and entertainment player with mouse and keyboard :)
@@dj-firefly3901 thats not the issue, mouse and keyboard is fine.
But you should really lower your vjoy setting (its the line that mimics the joystick movement) it shortens the line and makes flying actually competitive.
@Merlin- wow who cares. This is a pve guide vjoy settings don't matter at all. Most people don't change their settings it really is personal preference and not a universal truth that it improves flying. You are just nitpicking man
wow instead of bashing the guy for doing a great video you could have actually added value by suggesting him to change his vjoy setting for better accuracy.
Actually lowering the VJOY setting was good advice. Thanks. Did some YT research on more PvP oriented channels as well. Not my intended game style, but learned some interesting stuff, how the guys minmax their piloting skills...
