That’s not kissing or love. They are testing one another to see what kind of stuff their potential mate is made of.
You’re wrong, they’re not fighting, or “seeing what the other is made of”. Barnowls can be really vicious when they fight, and this ain’t it 😅 This is courting behaviour between two mates 😊
