Chino sent over the song file and I thought it was really great, cool and moody, so I worked on it that night and threw something down. He sent me a file of them jamming the song live, I sent it back with the idea I laid down, and Chino thought it was perfect. I waited until they got back in the studio and then came in and laid it down. So, it was pretty easy, and I think it’s going to be a great song. Chino’s a really talented guy and an amazing frontman, and they’re a band that has a sound that’s uniquely their own. I play the guitar solo and the middle section of the song, and then did some color work on the outro as well. I was originally just going to play the solo, but they wanted me to keep going."
As a long time Deftones fan I am kind of embarrassed to admit it, but this is the first time im hearing this song, really cool! That bass though...love its driving, smooth nature. And the Cantrell solo....ugh....so much greatness in one song.

Fun side note. The Deftones have a few signature beers they developed with a brewery in CA called Belching Beaver. One of which is an IPA called Phantom Bride, and it’s delicious! If you can find it, try it.
I actually live a mile away from the actual Brewery. You'll find me there a few times a week. And in comparison I like Phantom bride the beer better than the song however when they brought out the Swerve City Beer I liked the song better than the beer. If that makes sense 🤣

Went to a metal concert. I mean EMO metal. Venue starts playing a country song in between sets. Everyone, I mean EVERYONE was singing and dancing along to the song with as much energy as the metal performances.
