- Lure fishing for Perch and Pike on an inflatable boat in the Lake district. This lake is extremely scenic and it was a great day out exploring on my mates Excursion 5. We did all sorts from trolling and jigging all the way to bank fishing around a Jetty! I assume the fish at the end is a minnow, but I'd like to know for certain if anyone knows, haven't seen one looking quite like that before. Boat fishing definitely makes fishing in the lake district a lot easier!

Stunning isn’t it! I thought it was a minnow too, just haven’t seen one like that before. I thought they were all fully green!
@@adventurefishinguk The colours and patterns of minnows seem to vary a lot between the populations.

Now then Buddy. What a cracking location and a lovely inflatable too …… you always find them amazing places and thanx for sharing as it keeps me sane with all the graft going on and all this heat !!! Very muggy tonight 🥵🥵………. Some lovely stripeys and that little fella looks like a minnow buddy. … be nice if they grew to 10lb or more and there’s always plenty of them ( unless your trying to catch them for live bait as the just disappear 😵😬🤣) … all the best buddy to you and the family and loving the vids as always. Thanks John, great boat isn’t it. He’s customised it loads and made it into a really great and effective fishing boat. I did think minnow, but I thought they were more green. I’ve been told now though that at certain times of year their colours get a bit brighter! Glad you liked the video and thanks for watching
Just ordered the rugged and Ready X5 rod I lure fish for bass and do a bit of fly fishing in local rivers for trout and grayling. Love your videos. I am going to coniston in October will it be worth trying the tarns in October?
Thanks mate! Coniston definitely worth a go for perch but id avoid the high tarns because most of them only have trout in, which will be out of season unfortunately!

What is your biggest pike? And can you catch meterpike in the places you fish?
My biggest is 14 pound mate, not sure on the length of it. A metre plus pike is definitely possible most places I fish, easier said than done though!

I have the same boat and would like to put a rigid deck in it
I think he made a wooden floor for it mate and carpeted it 👍 Would highly recommend it it was great

I have got to get myself one of those trout lures, that looks the business! Do you have to be careful with the trebles on that inflatable boat!?
Some care is needed but its a lot safer and easier to fish from than i'd thought!

Just an ea license mate and permission for wherever you're fishing!
Windermere, Coniston and Ulswater are free, just need an EA licence.
I think I will give Coniston a miss dude.
Was a tough days fishing but it can be like that anywhere! For me the scenery is worth it alone

I was worried about that too, didn’t want to be invited out on a boat just to end up sinking it 😂 once you get out there you’ll realise it’s not that easy to do!
