Good video. For people like myself, who are just getting back into fishing it helps a lot. Time of day, weather conditions, lure pattern, all good stuff that helps people learn. Most import is how to release a fish and wearing a life jacket.
Thank you, I try to cover as much as possible, they are basically vlogs-if people learn something along the way then great, i just like being able to show people what a days fishing is like. ☺️
Could you do a video on how to use the fish finder and where to be looking for pike on it ect would be a great help still trying to figure out the lake I’m fishing in just looking for some extra tips. Great channel very helpful 👌
Thank you. Yes I stop when the water temperature goes above a certain temperature, it raises and lowers daily it’s different all around the lakes, water temperatures are low currently for July, so a lot of lads are still lure fishing.
I was there from 8.30am till 6 pm for the first time in my life we only managed to get two pike (catch and release) we were on the killaloe side of the lake.
Thanks pal! I like to use those smaller size on the river definitely . ☺️ I don’t like to use anything smaller than 5cm on the lake, anything smaller is hard for a trout to see when being trolled at speed , plus the bigger hooks stick better into the larger fish 😂👌
Hi, so you have lots of options, what would your budget be? There’s a huge difference in a 100€ basic model and the 2000€-3000€ models. If you want basic depths there’s a few options, if you want something with maps, it will cost a little more, and then if you want features like sidescan, downscan, mapping, a few different models offer these.
Super fishing Senan on a day when the sun was shining! What depths were you in when catching the trout and if you dont mind saying what speed were you trolling at when you nailed them? Thanks, keep up the good work 👏
Hey Sean. Some lovely trout there. When you're trolling with 2 rods and you hook a fish and stop the boat, does the lure on the other rod ever get stuck when it sinks to the bottom?
how much roughly does it cost for a similar boat to yours and with the equipment ? nets , life jackets , fish finder etc? also what is fees to keep your boat at a pier ? Thanks

Hi Senan, just wondering do you have a fin on that boat, if so where do you put the transducer
Hi, no I don’t use fins on my boat, I have mine positioned on the bottom right section at the back of the boat.
@@senanstanleyfishing ah cool, thanks so much for getting back to me
Love the content. Do you give the pike fishing a break in the warm weather? Its great to have a lake with such variety of species

Enjoyed that, as usual, Senan. What depth of water roughly are you fishing in?

@senanstanleyfishing it was good, although I haven't got a clue where to fish on this humongous lake 😅🤣
Great stuff ! What speed would say in km is ideal for trolling ? Do you use a form of leader connected to the braid ?

Great video do u know any good rivers for trout near Athlone thanks senan

Thank you. No it never gets stuck on anything, the majority of the lakebed is silt, there’s no snags, have never lost a trout lure that way. ☺️👍
