I like that they depicted Superman as this nuanced character and someone who can be badass. I hope they don't make Superman too stiff or annoying and actually take his character seriously don't go too goofy with it and give him a satisfying arc. Much like they did with The Batman and Bruce.
Without Man Of Steel I don't think I would even be a DC fan today let alone read New 52 Superman and get exposed to Scott Snyder's Batman run. I owe so much to it.

You don’t cast Russell Crowe; you summon him, and Snyder wielded him like a cinematic war hammer._ _And Michael Shannon as Zod-dear God. The man delivered menace that sent chills up spines and sent small children crying to their parents. Shannon didn’t just act; he devoured every scene, spitting righteous fury with such precision you could feel the weight of every syllable. Zod wasn’t just a villain; he was a broken, vengeful warrior whose cause you almost-almost-understood. Amy Adams, radiant and fierce as Lois Lane, was no damsel. She was a modern heroine who met the god of Krypton on her own terms, her determination unyielding as steel itself. And Carla Gugino-a voice actor? Let me repeat: Carla Gugino, relegated to a robot voice, lent more elegance and importance to Kryptonian tech than most actors could give to flesh-and-blood roles. Even the machines under Snyder’s direction carried dignity. Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van didn’t have many moments, but she made them count. Her every expression was layered with heartache and pride, her final glance at her son carrying a galaxy’s worth of love._ _And who could forget Lawrence Fishburne? Perry White, channeled through Morpheus himself, was a commanding presence, anchoring the chaos of Metropolis with an unspoken authority that screamed: “We are in good hands.” Every scene with Fishburne felt like a masterclass, his voice booming like a stabilizing force amid the rubble. Richard Schiff, Henry Lennix, Mackenzie Gray-all these actors came together like gears in a perfectly tuned machine, each performance measured, intentional, and contributing to a greater whole. They didn’t just show up for a paycheck-they were directed into greatness. Because only Zack Snyder could take AAA talent and make them not just shine but burn across the screen, delivering performances that crackled with dignity, ego, and cinematic potency._ _So now, let’s turn to the travesty that WB is peddling under James Gunn’s so-called vision. I saw the trailer, and it made me gag on its hollow, saccharine tone. It looks like Superman through a Fisher-Price filter, a cookie-cutter attempt at “fun” and “heartwarming” storytelling for folks who think watching paint dry is thrilling. Who is this “Thuperboy” nonsense they’re pushing? Superman is not some soft-edged, peppy teenager waving at drones from the sky. This isn’t Smallville on a CW budget-it’s a man, a god, a mythic figure whose presence demands reverence. James Gunn’s Superman trailer looks so sanitized, I almost expected him to hand out popsicles and balloons while making sure not to scare the audience. It’s not Superman. It’s an embarrassment._ _Meanwhile, kids today who’ve discovered Man of Steel know what the critics tried to bury-Snyder’s film is timeless. They see the power and ambition of Man of Steel and recognize it as the definitive Superman movie of the modern era. They didn’t need WB’s forced narrative or some weak-kneed critics trying to sell mediocrity as a gold standard. They watched it for what it is-a cinematic marvel. I still remember standing in line for weeks to see Man of Steel back when tickets meant waiting at the box office, not lazily clicking online. The lines wrapped around New York City blocks. You know why? Because people understood that they were about to witness something monumental. But no, WB didn’t have the patience or the foresight to understand what they had. Instead, they sabotaged their own masterpiece, whispering poison into critics’ ears because they couldn’t handle Snyder’s uncompromising vision._ _So now, WB pushes James Gunn’s shiny disaster, hoping we’ll eat it up like tasteless slop. Newsflash: You don’t trade fine dining for a microwaved Happy Meal and call it progress. You don’t call Superman a boy and expect the audience to be fooled. And you don’t insult the intelligence of fans who know the difference between epic mythmaking and cheap nostalgia bait. Snyder’s Man of Steel wasn’t just a Superman movie; it was a declaration of what modern cinema could be-a mix of dignity, darkness, and hope forged in steel. James Gunn’s attempt? Well, let’s just say I’ll have to dig deep into the sad relics of my past-maybe even those soiled old whiteys you mentioned-before I even think about watching it. WB had the greatest Superman film in history and threw it away like fools. But history will remember Man of Steel as a titan. James Gunn’s Superman? A footnote at best._
How right you were my man!! James Gunn did revert to the Christopher Reeves Superman Soundtrack! Do you know why? He's just can't help copying other people's ideas.
I mean his father's death scene was explained , Jonathan always tried to keep Clark away from the government or the public eye if he used his powers , actually Jonathan saved his son's life , and also his dad's leg was damaged he could not walk away and if Clark went there and then took him away from the tornado , people will ask questions and the government will get involved.
Unfortunately James Gunns suoerman them is just a slowed down reeves theme. I can respect your opinions on snyder I just wished he could finish what he started with his dc universe
haters REFUSE to admit how much they missed. i never was a hater but i missed SOOO much in mos/bvs the first 3-4 times. youtubers that catch depth faster than me i learned how to properly view great film like bvs and MOS
I always thought that Jonathan Kent would want Superman with his mother to make sure she’s protected. That’s why he went back for the dog. He says stay with your mother. As far as saving him, people would’ve seen it he was standing right in front of them and his dad made a choice
Mickey, you bring up a lot of valid points, and I thoroughly enjoyed your commentary on Man of Steel. I agree that Zack Snyder has a distinctive style, with his use of slow motion and muted colors, much like how J.J. Abrams is known for his lens flares and “mystery box” storytelling. What I think happened is that Warner Bros. was trying to play catch-up with Marvel and its cinematic universe, which was making massive box office waves. In their rush to establish their own shared universe, they made some critical creative missteps. Personally, I place the blame for Man of Steel’s lack of resonance squarely on WB rather than DC. I can’t fault Snyder entirely for the film’s narrative issues, as David S. Goyer wrote the script. While Goyer has done excellent work in the past, there was something about Man of Steel that felt like it was missing a vital spark, though I can’t quite pinpoint what that was. Again, I believe WB’s executive meddling and mishandling of the DCEU set the stage for these shortcomings. It didn’t help that Snyder faced a personal tragedy, which understandably took him away from shaping the universe that was supposed to follow his vision. That marked the beginning of the real unraveling. Man of Steel established a tone, but it was quickly derailed when WB decided to rush Batman into the mix, sidelining Superman and skipping over the opportunity for a proper Man of Steel 2. What we got instead was Batman v Superman, where Henry Cavill’s Superman felt pushed to the background. Cavill was a fantastic-looking Superman-almost too handsome to play Clark Kent, honestly (lol). But I genuinely believe that if we had gotten a true Man of Steel 2, he would have delivered an incredible portrayal of Clark Kent that could have elevated the character further. That said, I grew up during the Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve era of Superman, so I still have a soft spot for that version of the character. While I appreciate Man of Steel for what it was, I’m curious to see how James Gunn’s upcoming take on Superman will turn out, especially with his promise to bring back the uplifting vibrancy of the Donner films. I’ll keep an open mind-and let’s be real, the CGI Krypto will probably steal the show!
Interesting to hear how someone perceived the film who grew up with it. For me it feels like yesterday, since I was 31 when I saw it. I have loved it right from the start and agree with just about everything you had to say. I don't understand why people are so ready to hate this movie. It was mind blowing at the time, and so many films have stolen action beats and ideas from it, including Marvel (literal shot for shot lifts in Wandavision when the two Visions fight). So obviously it was doing something right. Even Balck Adam tried to bring some of that teleporting hand to hand combat stuff that Faora was doing in the Smallville fight. I truly wish Snyder had just let Superman have one moment/movie in the sun before dragging him into Batman's shadowy muck. We needed to see Henry Cavill flying high, bathed in the sun and saving the people of Metropolis in a more personal way. Then I think the rest would have played a lot better.
Man Of Steel got me interested in Superman again. I still have arguments to this day about Jonathan Kent's death and why didn't Clark save him? Why did he kill Zod? There are people I follow that cover movies, that flip flop about reboots when it suits and contradict themselves. "It should look different for a reboot", to "it should look the same and not change anything from the originals". It's very tiring. What people miss, is the movie isn't really a "Superman" movie, as he only discovers he can be who earth needs in that moment. It's only at the end where it's the people that have given him that name, which he would adopt. I could talk all day about MOS and will defend it till I die.
Snyder, Nolan, Goyer and Zimmer created a masterpiece. Henry is the best superman. I love the cinematography, music, acting and the whole experience. But, I also down to watch the new Superman movie. I never read the comic books so, I want to see the comic accurate version from Gunn's perspective. As a movie enjoyer, my only concern is about the movie experience rather than comic book accuracy. So, people who read the comics and fell in love with that might have a different opinion. I respect that.
Ahead of its time tbh. I don’t find the new Gunn verse appealing. This movie was amazing and made me feel hope.. his Superman was inspiring and had just a will
All 3 Snyder DC films are underrated. BvS director’s cut is the true version of the movie imo, and Snyder’s cut of Justice League is far superior to Whedon’s. Really wish he got to finish his vision without all the studio interference.
bvs ue is pretty decent but its one of those cases where I prefer 1 and 3 a bit more not 2 which is so weird because it's usually the first two I like more
@@mickeyc. Definitely not. It was a shit show and kind of made out of spite by Warner brothers to combat the mcu, they had no clue what to do and created an inaccurate mess that punched dc fans in the face with disappointment after disappointment. This time they will hopefully get it right with gunn
I think Man of steel really shines in that it explores concepts (perhaps accidentally) that you just didnt get in superhero movies. Superman purests understandably dont love the movie, as it is actually far to human. I always thought Zod was an interesting character, and his motivations made sense, as did his actions, and once you remove some of the more comically evil scenes that are obviously just a way to let you know he is definately irredeemably evil the movie plays more as a struggle between a ruthless Nietzschean ideal and a more compassionate Christian ideal. Perhaps it wasnt intended but I always though superman killing Zod at the end (rather than some contrived death that superman wasnt resposible for, or just locking him in some magical prison) wasn't just hard for superman because he doesnt like killing, but because he is basically ending Krypton altogether for the sake of humanity. Also the superheros never killing is such a retarded concept, it's just as stupid as its inverse, the every superhero is corrupt concept. Having to devise these obviously contrived circumstances so that the villian dies without the hero having any blood on their hands is actually lame, and means the hero never actually has to make any hard choices. I remember watching the new Batman, where batman lets the penguin go because he cant kill him, then the penguine ends up killing dozens of people in the ensuing chase, blowing up petrol tankers etc, and just turning the movie off because it was so stupid.
It's all subjective. For example, I know I'm in minority, but I wasn't a fan of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy because I thought Batman was downgraded too much into what he'd more likely be in the real world, but to me I'd always viewed the quintessential Batman as the best of the best fighter and detective despite being human and without super powers.
Firstly, I love your take on this film. I just recently rewatched the SM1&2 and i can see better the inspiration MoS took from the Donner films making it imo “almost” a masterpiece, however it was the 3rd act that didn’t stick the landing for me. The absolute disaster porn in the end took me out of the film, Hindsight being 20/20 of course knowing now that the Martian the Man Hunter, was in the film the whole time and didn’t assist during a world ending level threat *at least to my desire*, is a huge opportunity there for me. Understandably it’s not a justice league movie, however with that much destruction w/o other meta humans coming out to assist is imo a flaw in the script. I hoped for the first film you tone down the level of threat, not to a Superman Returns level , but to an attainable victory w/o so many people dying in a world “Superhero’s “ exist.
imo the writing could have been better but aside from that everything about MoS was great. The Look, Feel, Music, Top notch. Maybe if the tone of the movie shifted from Dark to Vibrant overall I think the reception for this movie would have been way better when it released, zack made it too dark/ realistic which just doesn't work with the Superman character.
I don't know if it was ahead of its time, since Nolan wanted to give Superman his Dark Knight treatment, but I also believe that MoS was horribly underrated. It's one of my favorite CBMs. Agree with the Rebel Moon mess. Unhinged Snyder is a problem for Snyder. But I rather liked Army of the Dead.
Either you're late to review this Masterpiece or Either you were too late to watch this Masterpiece or you were only a Marvel Kid now became A Man who watched this Masterpiece or Welcome to DC Universe
I love this movie but I love all things superman, if they had real fights scenes in superman returns that film would get more love too, Brandon was a great pic and I related to superman going thru gf/baby mama issues like we all do. I think Henry should get an else world story, Brandon should get a series on max and Tyler should be able to finish his multiple seasons on Netflix, but we live in a world where a man dressed as a bat gets all the attention, they better not cancel the cartoon show. The world needs superman more than ever we got evil politicians and drones in the sky
Talking of a Good Will meter…. Man Of Steel story telling convention made me look stupid by starting at the oil rig and then starting the backstory. I dashed out the cinema to flag down a staff member thinking there was a problem with the showing of the film. That’s a loss of Good Will right there, and it never gained it back.
MoS is by far the best superman film and im alredy including the new cause i now what it looks like, actually all DC snyder its ahead on time, very debpt, deep drama in a realistic and grounded world with powerfull visuals and full of epicness, now we gonna had a sort of marvel 2.0 wichs is in my opinion a step back in everything
Tbh Mos wasnt that good especially the flight scenes and chemistry between lois and clark was forgettable Also am i the the only one who thought cavills smile looked more like a villains smile than supermans
MOS is more like a DC comics else worlds type version of Superman. I've read plenty of comics, so I'm more able to see alternate versions of familiar characters, but yeah, the general moviegoing public never expected to see Superman being so different.
I also really liked the Man of Steel. It was the first Superman movie that fleshed out Krypton and made it feel like a real planet with a distinct society. Cavill was great, but unfortunately depite perfect casting, Justice League was really, really bad. I later even laboured through the Snyder Cut. Sure it explained a couple things a little better, but to me the added length made a bad movie even more excruciating to watch. The Snyder Cut is my least favorite superhero film after the Eternals.
It was a good movie but it just didn’t suit the character. Lois was undercast and so too was Perry a bit. Story-wise it was pretty much the same plot as Superman II, minus the codex.

B.Martha memes which has reached official international cinematic level with deadpool2: 'then I found out his mom was named Martha too'..lol (still, chuck Norris online/expendable2 meme still the best: 'aft 3 days of agonizing pain,de cobra dies...'). "HANDPICKED" Ezra Miller to play the Barry but with Wally characteristic...plus:annoying b4 the allegations E. Gotham and Metropolis just across the bay from each other??!! F. Heck Zack even failed in establishing THE Clark character n how he blends among the people he worked with.MOS n BVS unconvincingly brought that to life while donner n reeve were successful in just the 1st movie. Hey, Mark Waid (popular author of superman birthright) is the 1 commented that, not me...I just agrees with him..
7:15 right here you just explained why this is a really bad SUPERMAN movie. If it was Man of Steel without links to DV and it was just a ripoff movie of Superman then maybe I would see where you are coming from. i.e Brightburn
I don't think Batman v Superman would be loved today lol maybe Man of Steel If it didn't work back then, imagine nowdays when people criticize superhero movies way more. (Not to mention that the movie is boring and has no energy)
I don't know. I wasn't happy with the suit. It had a very roman gladiator style to it. I'm okay with a "new" version of the suit to fit a "new" version of Superman. But if you're going to go with anything "new" how about a complete retelling of Superman as a whole? I'm so sick of him being the last son of krypton and being stranded on earth to do what? Like what's his purpose? Can we get a more proactive version of Superman. Can we watch his story unfold and see him learn a purpose please?!
@@mickeyc. Honest to god, if we get another Origin story, I'm checking out. I genuinely preferred Singer's Superman Returns with Brandon Routh. The suit was good, maybe a little too sexy...do we need to see VPLs? The writing was shit and Spacey was the bad guy, let's just ignore that that happened. But the film started with Superman returning (get it) from flying out to krypton to investigate it. Sadly this wasn't much of a plot point (bad writing) but the idea of a story being about something other then how superman is the last son of a dead world or whatever is good.
I LOVE MAN OF STEEL AS WELL !!!! YOUR REVIEW IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ! GOD BLESS YOU, MAN. THIS IS A 1000000% TRUE REVIEW. MY THIRD FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME.
Some guy once said that had MOS came out when Superman Returns did and vice versa both films would have been better regarded by the viewership, I dont know how true that is, I guess he was speaking to the feelings of the culture and moviegoers during the respective times of the films releases, but I really like Caville's Superman and Zack Snyder's direction is amazing, just the way he used the camera, that was the closest we've gotten to anime style movements and yes I'm biased because my first exposure to American sueprhero comics was with the New 52 and Superman Earth one was ny first comic ever and you can see the inspiration in MOS. Overall this movie is underrated and I so wish we'd gotten more from Cavill and Snyder's Superman.
WB should have kept Cavil and got The Russo Brothers to course correct, do Man of Steel 2 with a heavy focus on Artificial Intelligence with Brainiac as the villain!!! Easy Money!!!
I love this movie, never cared about the criticisms. If ppl wanted to see the boyscout they can go back and watch the Reeve films or that boring ass Superman Returns. This was a proper superman for our time, absolutely epic movie.
6:02 Zach Snyder sucks as a director yes but I think we saw exactly what could happen with too much studio overreach when Joss Weaton (not sure if I spelt that right) took over for justice league. idk if this is supposed to be a win for the movie but if you have to neuter the directors vision to get a good product THEY SHOULD NOT BE DIRECTING. also not really arguing with the points in the video just thought it was interesting.
@power279 oh don't get me wrong that's a great movie and I do like some of his other projects but you can't tell me the Snyder cut wouldn't been fine if he removed a good hour out of it. we don't need scenes like a woman singing a song about aquaman. or his overuse of slow-motion shots to make the scenes seem more epic than they are. not to mention it's not exactly the nicest movie to look at because of how grey everything is. again I don't hate the movie I actually quite like it but there is aspects of it that are unnecessary and they're just in there due to his unchecked direction.
Am glad to here someone actually liked the movie. This movie helped me come through a hard place in my life. I'll forever cherish it in my heart.

She didn’t play Ma Kent-she embodied her, turning what could have been a throwaway role into the very anchor of Superman’s earthbound heart. Then there’s Kevin Costner. The man is practically Americana incarnate, exuding quiet, sturdy wisdom as Jonathan Kent. He didn’t just tell Clark to be better; he made you believe he had to be-that there was no other option but to rise above the world and transcend humanity. And for God’s sake, Russell Crowe-Maximus Decimus Meridius, the man who made lions whimper-brought a nobility and gravitas to Jor-El that made him feel like Krypton’s dying soul given form. You don’t cast Russell Crowe; you summon him, and Snyder wielded him like a cinematic war hammer._
_And Michael Shannon as Zod-dear God. Her every expression was layered with heartache and pride, her final glance at her son carrying a galaxy’s worth of love._
_And who could forget Lawrence Fishburne? Perry White, channeled through Morpheus himself, was a commanding presence, anchoring the chaos of Metropolis with an unspoken authority that screamed: “We are in good hands.” Every scene with Fishburne felt like a masterclass, his voice booming like a stabilizing force amid the rubble. Richard Schiff, Henry Lennix, Mackenzie Gray-all these actors came together like gears in a perfectly tuned machine, each performance measured, intentional, and contributing to a greater whole. They didn’t just show up for a paycheck-they were directed into greatness. Because only Zack Snyder could take AAA talent and make them not just shine but burn across the screen, delivering performances that crackled with dignity, ego, and cinematic potency._
_So now, let’s turn to the travesty that WB is peddling under James Gunn’s so-called vision. It’s an embarrassment._
_Meanwhile, kids today who’ve discovered Man of Steel know what the critics tried to bury-Snyder’s film is timeless. Instead, they sabotaged their own masterpiece, whispering poison into critics’ ears because they couldn’t handle Snyder’s uncompromising vision._
_So now, WB pushes James Gunn’s shiny disaster, hoping we’ll eat it up like tasteless slop.
I don’t understand how you can say ZS gave you multiple peak moments in a film but then say he’s a hack 😂 that doesn’t make sense at all
How right you were my man!!
Obviously I know that, but it's still dumb. It's contrived.
Even though I loved this movie and kind of understand the reason for this scene, I'd have to agree it's contrived.
I loved man of steel❤
Unfortunately James Gunns suoerman them is just a slowed down reeves theme. I can respect your opinions on snyder I just wished he could finish what he started with his dc universe
I loved man of steel ❤️ 😍 ♥️
Absolutely right. Man of Steel dropping in 2024 would be loved!
haters REFUSE to admit how much they missed. i never was a hater but i missed SOOO much in mos/bvs the first 3-4 times. youtubers that catch depth faster than me i learned how to properly view great film like bvs and MOS
Ever since MOS was released.. that's when i enjoyed dc films the most
I always thought that Jonathan Kent would want Superman with his mother to make sure she’s protected.
This movie was amazing and made me feel hope.. his Superman was inspiring and had just a will
After Superman and Lois, I finally understand why MoS isn't the Superman I want.
I agree loved this movie !!! The music is epic I also here it while working out
All 3 Snyder DC films are underrated. BvS director’s cut is the true version of the movie imo, and Snyder’s cut of Justice League is far superior to Whedon’s. Really wish he got to finish his vision without all the studio interference.
bvs ue is pretty decent but its one of those cases where I prefer 1 and 3 a bit more not 2 which is so weird because it's usually the first two I like more
It's entirely possible DC would be more successful now than Marvel if ZS's plans happened. Not saying that's a certainty, but it could have been
@@mickeyc. Definitely not. It was a shit show and kind of made out of spite by Warner brothers to combat the mcu, they had no clue what to do and created an inaccurate mess that punched dc fans in the face with disappointment after disappointment. This time they will hopefully get it right with gunn
Well ... nope. I actually thought the title was referring to the 2006 movie! That one deserves some love.
I loved the cinematic music in other dceu movies too, but what annoys me is , nowadays superhero movies just plays rock music during the fight scenes
And now people will tear you apart and call you a “Snyderbot” or not a “true DC fan” because you like this movie….it’s crazy
Michael shannon was so good in this movie
You a real one for this one ✊✊
Great review
I'm a bit disappointed that Zack Snyder didn't have a Director's Cut for MOS.
the final cut is his directors cut it was the only film he had complete creative control
I think the only scene missing from the MOS movie that was in the MOS trailer was of Clark petting a dog next to a boat.
Do 'Superman Returns'😊
If you're a bro than I'm a super bro, i love MOS and the fact is left the legacy it has its really telling to its impact.
No Country For Old Men had no music
_Zack Snyder participated as a writer for wonder, woman and he called directed that film_
The film presents a darker, more introspective version of Superman. which i don't like.
To each their own
It's all subjective.
One of the best Superman movies ever
My personal favorite superhero movie of all time
Firstly, I love your take on this film.
I just recently rewatched the SM1&2 and i can see better the inspiration MoS took from the Donner films making it imo “almost” a masterpiece, however it was the 3rd act that didn’t stick the landing for me. The absolute disaster porn in the end took me out of the film,
Hindsight being 20/20 of course knowing now that the Martian the Man Hunter, was in the film the whole time and didn’t assist during a world ending level threat *at least to my desire*, is a huge opportunity there for me.
I sometimes imagine Mickey dressed as Superman. Or robin.
imo the writing could have been better but aside from that everything about MoS was great.
Either you're late to review this Masterpiece or
Either you were too late to watch this Masterpiece or
you were only a Marvel Kid now became A Man who watched this Masterpiece or
Welcome to DC Universe
I agree when u say snyder is better when given a script..not when he makes one in his own
I love this movie but I love all things superman, if they had real fights scenes in superman returns that film would get more love too, Brandon was a great pic and I related to superman going thru gf/baby mama issues like we all do.
Hahaha What? That's crazy dude.
Ni la madre de Snyder piensa que esta pelicula es buena
MoS is by far the best superman film and im alredy including the new cause i now what it looks like, actually all DC snyder its ahead on time, very debpt, deep drama in a realistic and grounded world with powerfull visuals and full of epicness, now we gonna had a sort of marvel 2.0 wichs is in my opinion a step back in everything
Its not underrated, its divisive.... because the movie is great on its own but it drops the ball on being a Superman movie
It is a Superman movie.
Ok I'll put it like these: Man of Steel is a good superhero movie (not great) but it is a bad superman movie.
Tbh Mos wasnt that good especially the flight scenes and chemistry between lois and clark was forgettable
Also am i the the only one who thought cavills smile looked more like a villains smile than supermans
MOS is more like a DC comics else worlds type version of Superman. I've read plenty of comics, so I'm more able to see alternate versions of familiar characters, but yeah, the general moviegoing public never expected to see Superman being so different.
@@puichiung2959 bro the problem is evil superman at this point has been milked way too much. That sort of takes the essence of superman
I WILL FIND HIM!
Probably your best take of all time and I haven't even watch the video yet
We didn’t deserve MoS 😔
It was a good movie but it just didn’t suit the character. Lois was undercast and so too was Perry a bit. Story-wise it was pretty much the same plot as Superman II, minus the codex.
Bro not to be racist or anything but i called your accent by your mug🤣🤣...cheers from Kenya mate
The only superman that matters
Nope
@ yes. If I want a weak pathetic diaperman that needs a dog to save him I know where to go. I respect real men real supermen gunns trash isn't one of them
1000 percent AGREE…
Ahead of its time in retconned the lore...
A.Wacky Lex.
B.Martha memes which has reached official international cinematic level with deadpool2: 'then I found out his mom was named Martha too'..lol (still, chuck Norris online/expendable2 meme still the best: 'aft 3 days of agonizing pain,de cobra dies...').
C.Disrespectfully Killed off Jimmy Olsen prematurely b4 Clark even met n bond a friendship with him..
D. "HANDPICKED" Ezra Miller to play the Barry but with Wally characteristic...plus:annoying b4 the allegations
Have you not seen ZSJL yet??? 😢😢😢
I enjoy superman 78 movie 🎥 more than man of steel
both are great honestly 🤝🔥🔥
Both a good and have different things to offer
No, its properly rated.
7:15 right here you just explained why this is a really bad SUPERMAN movie. If it was Man of Steel without links to DV and it was just a ripoff movie of Superman then maybe I would see where you are coming from. i.e Brightburn
Yep!! #RestoreTheSnyderverse
The big problem is that Cavill barely feel the protagonist here or the other movies.
Man of Steel is no Superman movie not even a Clark Kent movie, It's a movie of someone trying to pass as Superman by wearing his costume
it's literally a movie about hope throughout the darkness throughout the movie it's literally a SUPERMAN movie
What the f*** are you talking about.
It's more of a Superman movie than those cheesy Reeves movies or the crappy Brandon Routh films that had no action.
I don't think Batman v Superman would be loved today lol maybe Man of Steel
If it didn't work back then, imagine nowdays when people criticize superhero movies way more. (Not to mention that the movie is boring and has no energy)
Boring?
It has more fights than all the other Superman movies combined.
Boring is that Brandon Routh piece of crap.
@@ErikVknight i was talking about Batman v Superman
@@LeonardoSilva-xm8ft My bad.
Yeah BVS is terrible.
I never understood the hate that this movie got!? It's definitely a good movie & my man Henry is Superman! Well done my G!🫡
Btw, you also look a bit like Superman
You need glasses 🤓
@mickeyc. You do! To look like Clark Kent :)
@@mickeyc. You already have glasses from writers room
absolutely shite movie
I don't know. I wasn't happy with the suit. It had a very roman gladiator style to it. I'm okay with a "new" version of the suit to fit a "new" version of Superman. But if you're going to go with anything "new" how about a complete retelling of Superman as a whole? I'm so sick of him being the last son of krypton and being stranded on earth to do what? Like what's his purpose? Can we get a more proactive version of Superman. Can we watch his story unfold and see him learn a purpose please?!
Obviously it was roman gladiator style because it was created by maximus himself for his son clark
@@Dabang_singham hilarious 🤣
@mickeyc. 😂😂🤣
Very good
the design of the kryptonians armour got me rooting for them to win
Way to trend surf lol.
I never liked Henry cavill and I didn't liked the man of steel movie either 🙏🏻
❤❤❤
First thought on reading "man of steel is super underrated" was- no it isnt
I think Returns would have always failed, it's not an exciting movie at all
@mickeyc. Agreed 👍
Yep
Snyder’s trilogy is incredibly overhated. Now they’re not perfect, but people really hate it without properly understanding them. They don’t WANT to.
Boom
6:02 Zach Snyder sucks as a director yes but I think we saw exactly what could happen with too much studio overreach when Joss Weaton (not sure if I spelt that right) took over for justice league. idk if this is supposed to be a win for the movie but if you have to neuter the directors vision to get a good product THEY SHOULD NOT BE DIRECTING. also not really arguing with the points in the video just thought it was interesting.
Sucks as director..so suck that hbo needs his zsjl cut to build the streaming platform😂
