Thanks Mandy, you made an excellent introduction video of the Cirrus 670. This couldn't have come at a better time for me as I'm in the market for a truck camper. I really liked the Cirrus 820 when I saw one at an RV show last year but I needed something a bit lighter. As I recall the attention to detail of the Cirrus was top notch and very innovative too. Fun video! Always check the drivers door sticker on your 1/2 ton pickup for max "payload." You will find that most 1/2 tons trucks (especially with any options) will not have the "payload" for these campers.
Exactly. I have a 2018 Tundra Crewmax Ltd TRD Off Road and the payload capacity is only 1185 lbs. At 1700 lbs dry, this 1/2 ton(?) camper greatly exceeds my payload capacity and you haven’t even added passenger and cargo weight.

The bathroom design is beautiful specially for us big guys. Hopefully they start using this bathroom design in your other models for a 3/4 ton truck which I drive with a long bed. Great video.
I love the airliner style cabinets. Makes it look and feel so big inside. I wish builders would change the sink cover from.glass to a wood cutting board. Or maybe synthetic cut board material...not glass which I am clumsy enough to break.
The bathroom/shower solution is fantastic. I was just watching a different video trying to figure out how a bathroom and shower could be more practical. I was thinking a slide out type thing with two doors. One to use the toilet and then slide out for a shower. This solution does the same thing but much more simple. I'm curious how these campers will change with the coming of electric trucks. Will they just ignore it? Or maybe have batteries to help increase range for the truck? Or on board generators? Leave a space for a manufacturer solution? Like how Ford has filed a patent for a generator to go where a truck tool box goes that can charge the batteries and even power the motors.
This video was suggested by UA-cam. Great job on the review. With 3 young kids I’m about 15 years out from the camper market. However this looks like a super cool camper!
Believe it or not bed-campers have had showers for a long time. I seen an unmodified '78 bed camper with a stall toilet/shower once and it'd fit in most truck beds.. I actually plan on going this route over a 16' trailer very soon
I see a lot people talking about this camper being to heavy for a half ton. All half ton truck models have an available payload of over 2000 pounds and even if you've got a truck with base springs I've never heard of a RV dealership selling a truck camper with out suggesting airbags as part of the truck prep package to help with payload and ride quality. I've always preferred truck campers. I'm glad to see one that can go in a daily driver.
Not sure what trucks you’re talking about. I bet 90% of today’s 1/2 ton trucks are crew cab short beds (5 1/2 - 6 1/2 ft) and I’m willing to bet none of them have a payload capacity over 2000 lbs. My 2018 Tundra Crewmax Ltd TRD Off Road has a payload capacity of 1185 lbs. Even with helper springs or airbags, other limitations are drivetrain. My parents put a so called 1/2 ton camper on their 1/2 ton GMC and burned up their transmission on a road trip from Colorado to California.
This would be great for my 3/4 ton 6 1/2 foot bed and still have payload for the tongue weight of my boat. Only thing I use regularly it’s missing is an oven and the ac is a must for Kansas. Bathroom is the big star for me
That's a very nice camper. It's got what it needs without all the frivolous add ons. Plus that bathroom is a very nice bathroom. The only con is the Zebra wood looking cabinets. The pattern is much to "busy" for a tiny space like that.
I have been looking for this truck camper but haven't had much luck in finding one. Most of the ones I come across are the 720, 800 and the 820. I have a half ton truck and would like to get my hands on one of these.
Wow.... Not sure how you do it....but you make me want to buy everything you showcase... I’m not a truck bed kinda guy...but this was really cool...!! Great use if every inch of space.
The only thing that worries me is that the propane locker vent is placed too high. If there's a leak it means that the entire compartment has to fill up with propane before it starts to vent and it'll continue to be full until you either run out of propane or open the locker. I'm not particularly fond of having a massive storage locker constantly filled with propane if I were to have a leak.
This is an amazing camper, but I just read that the suggested MSRP is going to be 28k. I just bought a brand new 20' travel trailer for half that, with all the same amenities, am wondering why so much difference in price? Sorry, lol, new to the camping/rv world! :)
It's okay! Thats a great question. Lightweight materials that are still quality enough to last over time actually tend to cost a bit more. There is also a lot of truth in the saying "you get what you pay for"... not that the one you got is bad! But simply that there are a lot of corners cut in the mass produced, cheaper campers - things glued, stapled and cheap materials. No matter what you chose, welcome to the RV world!
We looked at trailers initially, but have decided on a camper. They are so much easier to boon dock in, very easy for stealth camping if in town, and can get just about anywhere with it on a 3/4 ton 4x4. And, when you want to stay a while, just lower the jacks and take off with your truck! When you are back home, you still have your truck to use for all the other things we need it for.
I feel your direction with regard to small campers is the right way to go . These small campers could be full time affordable housing for many people . This could alleviate the global housing crisis.
You’d probably still want to have that with an F 250 or something along those lines however that being said it would handle well with a F250 series truck lower L.B. better mileage also..... One of them dream set ups where you could go see America before you die when you retire if you can........
have a 3/4 tundra would still like the weight to go down a bit and a place for a small generator and 5 gal of gas. especially if your on the alcan highway.lots of folks want a really lite on sure these guy's will do it
@@MandyLea They need to keep that bathroom design cause that adds so much more usable space with that darkroom type sliding door. That is the best I have seen in any truck camper!!
@@MandyLea They should consider still making this model as its lighter than other brands with the same features by 300 to 600 pounds!! A 3/4 ton truck would be ideal but a half ton could be done with some modifications of the rear suspension like the adding of additional leaf springs and heavy duty shocks along with air bags system to keep the bed from sagging to low.

The only thing that worries me is that the propane locker vent is placed too high. There is also a lot of truth in the saying "you get what you pay for"... not that the one you got is bad! But simply that there are a lot of corners cut in the mass produced, cheaper campers - things glued, stapled and cheap materials. No matter what you chose, welcome to the RV world!
Thanks!!!! That's about what I thought the reason would be, lol!!! :) @@MandyLea
Truck campers have to be built a lot better then trailers and generally cost more.
One of them dream set ups where you could go see America before you die when you retire if you can........
have a 3/4 tundra would still like the weight to go down a bit and a place for a small generator and 5 gal of gas. especially if your on the alcan highway.lots of folks want a really lite on sure these guy's will do it
Excellent presentation, good camper design!
Is this model still available? I love the bathroom design and just about everything else on it. Has it been discontinued?
Yes they've switched over to the 620.
