Hello Byf
The real question is ... who is the father ?
I really hope they will at least mention Savathun's daughters during Season of the Lost. Personally I'm hoping Nokris will rise to take Oryx's throne, there's something poetic about having his estranged son rise to take his mantle and his brood. He made a deal with Savathun for knowledge, what knowledge he gleamed from Quoria the Dreaming Mind is still unknown.
Yo BYF, the new war of warframe is out so can you make a lore video about the new war after finishing it?
I know one of them is on Reddit at least.
Garry the Acolyte recently completed his set of Trials of Oryx, we are proud of him.
What's Garry going for next then?
Worlds first raid completion in Fundament?
@@ianquinn6814 We laugh, but Imagine Garry is Hive Aztecross and solo's Earth Tower raid
@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078 that'd be the reason for the next sunset.
"Local hive lightbearer known as 'Garry' completes raid on the tower. Loots everything."
"Kinox, last daughter of Crota, scurries through cracks between the rocks as her son, Ulg’Urin, and his cohort of lesser Knights raise shields to defend her. Osiris extinguishes a blade into his palm to form a singularity of Void and hurls a Nova Bomb that consumes them." Not really clear whether or not Kinox died, but we'll see.
I would hazard a guess and say Dul Incaru is likely the last child actually truly loyal to Savathun, hence why she sent her to Mara's Throne World. All the others betrayed her (no surprise) or they were killed. Dul Incaru's actual job is likely ensuring Savathun's rescue and aiding in the ruse that Xivu Arath is trying to kill Savathun. Who else would be able to chart exactly where and how Savathun invaded the Dreaming City, especially when it was sealed, who else has the expertise in the manipulation of Ascendent Realms to ensure Xivu Arath's forces are in the realms the Techeuns hide in. Xivu Arath is not an honorable combatant, she seeks to embody total war, to include deceit and deception, her forces are vast, there is no reason, given the nature of the dreaming city and the ascendent planes, that she couldnt bring a truly overwhelming host to massacre the Awoken (who are not actually that high in number), but yet, she seems more bent on delaying the awoken-guardian forces while she goes around, consolidating the taken-scorn-hive forces under her banner, its like she isnt even that interested in Savathun, if she was, she would have launched a massive hive/scorn assault (imagine how many dead fallen are in the cosmodrome alone) on the Last City to draw the guardians away, blocked comms from the reef and sent her forces through the Ascendent Plane into Dreaming City to occupy it. But she isnt doing anything to actually commit her forces, like she is playing a game, we only assume the darkness is mad with Savathun, the OG source of that was Savathun (as osusris) and its not like anyone can confirm it by asking. If anything, at this point, the Darkness would be intrigued, the Darkness clearly doesnt just want to destroy everything (it showed it could when it ate multiple celestial bodies), Savathun is acting in accordance with the sword logic "survival at any cost" but with a different interpretation "if my enemies keep killing us with their power, it must be superior and thus something to take for ourselves", Xivu must be in on the con, one consolidates the forces of the darkness, the other steals the power of the light, then, the hive shall have everything needed to become the final shape.
You are 100% correct in my opinion. The old saying goes "all is fair in love and war" so Xivu Arath is willing and able to do anything she wants in the name of victory. They are definitely working together, not only to trick us but to also to trick the darkness. Its the ultimate con.
I don't think it's a ruse. I do believe that Xivu Arath and Savathûn are at odds.
Xivu Arath isn't exactly one for cunning and trickery. Not saying that she isn't a master strategist, just that her MO is just war and not coming up with schemes and making plans within plans.
Xivu Arath is also a firm believer in the Sword Logic, while Savathûn has clearly rejected it. Xivu Arath is more like Oryx, she fully embraces the principles and philosophy of the Darkness and the Sword Logic and deems the Light inferior. Savathûn is the only one open minded enough to understand that the Darkness isn't absolute in its powers and its teachings.
Could it all just be a trick? Yeah, maybe, but assuming that everything is a trick is just boring if you ask me. I get that Savathûn is the Loki of Destiny, but you can't just go on thinking everything you know about them is a lie.
Dom is a hive god
…family
He'd do it for family.
Except instead of sword logic…he lives by the Dolphin head-butt logic; which demands (among many other things) that existence should be experienced ONLY a quarter mile at a time.
He must be the most powerful cause we have committed enough genocide to his family. I'm sure he has enough anger to melt a goddamn ice cream just by thinking about it
Savathun took the kids, now I'm stuck paying child support
🤣🤣🤣😂 she gets around alot

Bruh you got to hit that?
I want some of that savathiccness
@@kellenknipp955 I wouldn't reccomend it, I've been itching with hives ever since
Guardians definitely seem to have a thing for killing entire bloodlines, even if a single member doesn't seem to be causing much of an issue
Guardian kills basic thrall
Guardian: Ok now where is this thralls entire family
0:52 that’s one of the most satisfying things i’ve ever seen with witherhoard
Loyalty to the hive is trying to kill you out of love, so I’d say they’re more family like than a hallmark Christmas movie
🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 that comparison omg i'm dead 💀 🤣
15:10 Technically, those aren't going to be Guardians. They'll be Lightbearers but not Guardians. Not unless one of them transmats into the Tower and pledges to guard the Traveler and the Last City. Which if that happened then it'd be incredibly interesting but unlikely at this time.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance that the nova warp ogre could be friendly?

5:40 I like how the end of Balwur's grimoire text is a haiku.
10:00 From my understanding, Malok was placed in Oryx's group by Savathun to steal most the tithe that Malok gathered for Oryx and instead have Malok give it to her. Malok however chose to tithe even less to both for himself to become stronger. Oryx found out about Malok's deception to not just him, but to his sister Savathun as well.
Byf: *puts video about savathun's daughters
Bungie: Oh yeah we forgot about them *adds them to next expansion*
This side of the lore gives me a strong Fast and Furious vibe. Also, given Savathun takes the mother form it is not impossible that she may become even more annoying than Taniks, if she does have a million children, many of them being ascendant and she finds a way to transfer her soul onto a child conveniently each time she pretends to be destroyed even in her own throne world.
Taniks: I'm the most annoying enemy possible
Savathun: hold my beer
It’s all about FAMILY.
ALWAYS HAS BEEN
I disagree
It’s about the METS everyone loves the METS LETS GO METS
It's about killing off family cause that's all we have ever really done
Shush, we killed you, plus, its actually all about
Drive, its about power
We stay hungry, we devour
Put in the work
Put in the hours
And take what's ours
Never thought we’d be talking about one of my favorite d1 armors this far in d2
I’m confident in saying that Balwûr is dead. To have a Throne World is basically to say you stand among the hive pantheon, and I don’t think she qualifies. Basically she was Oryx’s head of weapons development.
Osiris definitely killed Voshyr, but Kinox is implied to have managed to escape and sacrificing her son Ulg’urin to enable this.
The Mindbender had a Throneworld, and so does Toland, they don't have big Throneworlds, in fact Toland's is specifically stated as being a tiny scrap of a Throneworld, but they still have them, so having a Throneworld doesn't mean you count as a Hive God. It's possible that Balwûr was Ascendant in the sense that she did not have her own Throneworld but instead chose to make use of Oryx's, as to be Ascendant you don't need your own Throneworld, you only need access to one, and you still get the benefits, and since Oryx had pulled his Throneworld out into the Dreadnought, which is where Balwûr died, she may be dead permanently
@@gervasiocampana6217 well said
The first thing Oryx says of Balwur is a compliment on how well she has hidden her death. I have no confidence that death keeps her. The Taken King does not bestow praise or honors lightly.
Among?
The Lucent Brood had ghosts, which means they all may have been dead at one time. If the Hive have unfettered access to the Light as we have then any who have died may be chosen by one of their ghosts.
Everyone out here talking about Sword logic and Bomb logic, meanwhile F9 sent a car into space with Family logic
im pretty sure one (Kinox I believe) survived as her son had shielded her from a nova bomb.
Something I never understood about the Osmium Court/Hive royal family tree is, where did Omnigul come from? It seems like the top of the Hive hierarchy has always been Oryx, his siblings, and their children, but the 3rd generation Hive royalty like Hashladun come from Crota & Omnigul. So did Omnigul gain a similar level of power as the Hive court just by being Crota's girlfriend? Or was there something special about her abilities?
Well Dul Incaru’s trapped in one-phase limbo in the shattered throne, Malok got shit on and turned into a helmet, and uh… that’s about it I think-
Oh shit I forgot about Balwur I never even read her name I just shot her
when the funny doesn’t exist
Oh my god, the family reference and Zavala with hair got me
I'm more worried about the dude that somehow got into Savathun's bed.
Poor dude was just trying to gain ranking but got instead tricked in a horror loving session probably
7 years later and people are still pronouncing rune “ruin” 😂😂

ohhhh okay Byf that gave me chills to think that Savathun may have more offspring and that some of them may have the power of the light but something tells me that Savathun is already in her throne world working on her plans for her hive
Hopefully Malok makes a re-appearance in the Witch Queen, so we may once again wield his grasp.
Wouldn’t her lucent brood, by definition, be her children? Maybe the hive guardians we’ll be fighting in the campaign her children.
I've always wondered if humans would have the same kind of value for human life as we do now if we pumped babies out as fast as insects or the Hive do. You could have 50 kids easily. If one died due to disease, would we mourn the same if all 50 died?
Most likely because, no matter the impact or amount of loss, humans will always grieve. Humans are naturally sympathetic animals, so no matter what, we will always mourn loss that’s important to us.
Im not sure but isnt that already happening in poverty places? They need kids to grow and work when the adults no longer can; if a Child cannot work and dies thats just a less few mouth to feed, because they have other 5 sons.
I dont agree with It but i think thats how It happens when a place is massively poor
@@pasta1549 that’s true, but if you know so many people then the loss of one is proportionately less, right? I think we would probably grieve less if there were really so much more of us.
Have you seen a mama dog react when one of her puppies is taken away to a new home? Even if she doesn’t see the puppy being taken away(lack of scent but no puppy) she gets very sad.
I can only imagine how hard that would be for humans.
I mean people back in the day used to pump out kids hoping one would survive to adulthood
After the death of savathun aren’t all hive across the universe going to be under the control of xivu arath
Balwur having a throne world would also be a better a better answer as to why we see her in the court multiple times rather than "videogames"
I've been thinking...
In the story of Ager and Rega, Mara said:
"The storm took, as is its nature"
"Rega gave herself to the storm, plunging down, down, down..."
Did Mara let herself be Taken, so she could behold the Darkness and make a deal with it just as Oryx did? By giving herself willingly, did she subvert Oryx's will and maintain her own?
Or am i reading in to it too much? Only Savathûn knows...
Mara let Oryx kill her. Remember what Petra said about Leylines: The bottom coin of a stack is the Ascendant realm. When Mara died, she went to her Throne world.
@@mikethehunter5212 but she herself has said that she didn't go there instantly. At the very least going via toland's throneworld, and having to escape Oryx's influence in some capacity. It'd completely fit with her M.O to claim the darkest power, especially since she was working for so long to have Uldren become lightbearer. The awoken tread the line between light and dark...
Do hives truly care about their children oryx had his kids to give him more power and when we kill the Croatoan oryx came to avenge him but how much of that was out of love then-us killing one of his greatest source of power and tribute
The fact that Oryx came to avenge Crota is already against his Sword Logic
Well to be honest theres some similarities and hipocresies between us and the hive
-Beings Who are used to killing a lot and not loosing a thing, while working in situations that would surely have the odds against you.
-Eventually something happens and one of your loved ones dies. Even if you smothered 20 million lives, youd smother 20 million more to avenge them. As Spider put It on Forsaken 'Such a formidable killer yet so sensitive to death of their own. Such hypocresy'. Same for the Hive, they know their sword logic, but the tithe system almost always assured them inmortality. He just didnt expect his son Who was the strongest of the non-gods hive, to be wiped out, since such a thing hadnt happened before.
Oryx: I will avenge my son and his children’s children.
Savathun an Xivu: yeah my kids are….somewhere?
9:00 why can I Imagine Oryx giving Malok a spanking as he criticizes him for being a traitor and liar?
I'm still concerned about the potential of Oryx returning through the heretical ritual on the Moon. And because the Touch of Nalice still exists. I can't shake the feeling that we haven't seen the last of The Taken King, and that scares me more than Savathûn's Lucent Brood.
didn't ToM went missing after the red war?
@@LooseDeuce no official confirmation on that. It is assumed to either be missing or sealed in a Cryptarch Vault like Outbreak Perfected was
If her kids are all dead aren't they all prime candidates for joining the lucent brood?
It's good to hear Byf's voice again! Looking forward to the continuation of The Story of The Awoken series.
7:32 I think we can say with certainty that Bal-whatever is still alive in a throne world, because her grimoire card says her "death is well-hidden"--exactly the same language used by the Books of Sorrow to describe a throne world
Fast and furious but hive. Make it happen bungie.
They'd have to bring back SRL to do that properly
I have a feeling when the ritual is ready, Savathun is obviously gonna escape, like Mara Sov is obviously planning on killing her after she releases Osiris, but I feel like someone who has been seduced by Savathun will stop Mara from killing her, like I don’t know, it’s just a theory. I feel like the ritual is gonna start a couple weeks before the Witch Queen release to have us on our boots on wants to come at us. Just a theory like I said, I’m really curious to see how all this is gonna play out!
See I actually think we actually WILL kill Savathun at the end of this season and after a few moments of silence a hive ghost will bob into veiw and Savathun will be resurrected and then escape, she probably wants us to kill her so a hive ghost may revive her because we do not know when the hive ghost were made or if they're currently waiting on some kind of trigger like Savuthun's death
As someone who's been seduced by Savathûn I'm fully on board with having her get her shit rocked when her worm is removed.
Mara SOV Is incompet ,
There is a video that uncovered voice lines for the ritual just look up destiny 2 datamined voice lines

Malok also have us a sick helmet if you were a hunter in D1
What if Dul Incaru gets the Light?! 💀
With self res of all things
I predict Nokris will also return as a guardian.
@@AxisChurchDevotee Wonder if he would join Savathun or go his own way and end up being semi friendly towards us.
I’d imagine that she has to play some sort of role in the end of this season or Witch Queen. I predict Dul Incaru will get the Light and then become a strike boss, or the Shattered Throne will be replaced with a new Dungeon where we actually kill her for good. In both instances, I’d assume she has Light powers.
Savathun to Balwur and Malok:"Why can't you two be more like your sister? She's the only one who responds to my texts anymore."
Balwur:"But Mom, my throne world has horrible reception. Plus, Uncle took my phone away."
Malok:"Yeah, 'cuz you kept messing with MY poisony job."
Balwur:"He said I could do it though! Mooom!"
Savathun:"Malok, stop antagonizing Balwur."
Malok:"I only said ONE thing. Why are we here anyway?"
Savathun:"Because I need somebody to reach up to that shelf."
Malok and Balwur:"You literally have wings."
Savathun:"I can't exactly open them in here, now can I?"
Balwur:"I guess not. Malok, you do it."
Malok:"But- ugh, fine."
Savathun:"Thank you."
Oryx wanted to become synonymous with death, yes? To become a universal constant? Savathûn has a similar goal.
That text from Oryx to Balwur mentioned death and the dead a few times.
I’m wondering if she was helping him to find ways to becoming a constant, at which point her presence in his court takes on a different tone. It’s possible she was a liaison of sorts, helping him and at the behest of Savathûn… or that she was a spy, ostensibly working for him while relaying useful discoveries to her mother.
Tired reference?!
You can NEVER get tired of family!

Man I can’t wait for the new animated book of sorrows series
Dul Incaru has the same runic bracers as Phogoth...a hive binding spell?
When we FINALLY break the curse on The Dreaming City, I hope that we have a Mind bender like mission that's more like a dungeon where we can permanently kill Dul Incaru.
Soloing the Shattered Throne in the background is bold…
Destiny 2 year 15: Expansion - "Ah shit, here we go again" featuring Savathun the 7th
Plot twist:
Garry Acolyte is one of Savathun's children.
Hes the gamer child. Everyone in the court mocks him because of his lack of tribute. jokes on them, because as a PVP main he got tons of online tribute from Trials of Oryx
I never thought about soloing that part of the prophecy with a bow....thats pretty crafty Byf
Hoping for at least 1 more daughter of Savathun with the drop of Witch Queen
Somehow the comments section on this video is more cursed than the one addressing the helmet staying on…
Malok? Oh yeah, I know that guy. Wore his face once.
So basically Balwur worked with Oryx and Nokris worked with Savathun kinda ironic don’t you think?
if you want to skip the sponsor advertising, just go to 2:30
Ever since I divorced that sorry excuse for a Hive, I’ve been asking the same question…
If i am correct the only major players in the osmium dynasty that we know about are as follows
Savathûn, the Witch Queen who will most likely die
Kinox, Last Daughter of Crota as her son died saving her
And Xivu Arath, God of War, there are taken in the Dreaming city that are supposedly her children however like Dûl Incarû, they’re basically dead and we’re waiting for the cycle to be broken to kill them properly.
So assuming that the cycle of the dreaming city does get broken, and we do kill Savathûn in witch queen, kill Kinox and we wipe out the bloodline of Oryx, we turn our attention to Xivu Arath and then the worm gods
Didnt they say the "One season Big bad discovered, killed, move on to Next season" was over? That antagonists might span across different seasons or DLCs?
So from what I can understand here: Xivu Arath is Vin Diesel
They must love the smell of green…
You spartans have a legendary bless day. God bless
You're so close to a million subs! Congrats!
Malok was such a good strike
Literally at work rn and was needing something for the background
I bet savathun is gonna resurrect some of his children with the hive ghost.
Crota-sama, Love is war

Have a good day, fellow guardians ❤️
Since there were some of Savathun's spawn in Oryx's court, could there be some of his in hers? Nokris did that back in the season of Arrivals, and we didn't hear about him till Warmind as he was considered a heritic. Could Oryx have some tratorious spawn?
Potentially yes, but as soon as Oryx finds out one of his spawn is a heretic or a traitor, he will exile/kill them and wipe any records of them in Oryx’s family tree. This is what happened when Oryx found out that Nokris was a heretic. The only reference to Nokris in the entirety of the hive was a statue of him in the Oryx’s dreadnaught that we find in d1. And even then, thats the first mention of Nokris we get, as even Eris Morn (our resident Hive Expert), is not sure who Nokris was during the events of Taken King DLC. TLDR: Oryx could have some more traitorous spawn, but the reason we haven’t seen them yet is due to them being dead or exiled/in hiding with no mentions of them left behind for us to find. So yes they’re could be more, but we don’t know where they are or what their former relation to Oryx was.
Don't need to worry about hair loss if I'm a robot
SAVATHUN FLAVORED
I think because the Lucent Brood are made by Savathûn they count as her children
You look at it she probably has a lot of children she wanted to be a mother she took the mother morph form and wanted to consume the Royal jelly and I bet you anything that she's going to refer her Hive guardians as her children and she does kind of look like a queen mother of the hive
Another Fikrul....
Didn't we kill a taken son of Savathun with in a prison in the Shattered Realm on Mara bequest this season?
Scoroboth was Xivu Arath's son, not Savathun's.

Crow is her favourite. I can already see the look of disgust in Dul Incaru after having herself killed every 3 weeks for 4 years for her mother
Heavens forfend that Savathun should be so human!
I hope we get more lore (whether it’s true or false) on Savathun and the hive brood.
F&F references will never be tired.
So no one is surprised that oryx was able to cast a Nova bomb???
Always love hearing this intro
Great video, I have one request though, it's that you get subtitles for these videos if possible, as cool as your voice is, it can get hard to hear sometimes.
It goes to show how much better oryx was in prime vs savathuun if her children thought uncle oryx was way cooler
Hold on. you're telling me I can grow back a leg from getting blown up in The Crucible but not some hair?
Ain't gotta worry about losing hair when you're an exo
Ughhhhhhhh it's not a question whether they are loyal to her, it's a question of whether they are loyal to their worms. The darkness is a ruse... it is not our enemy, or rather it's not an enemy we can fight. Sure we can fight its closest representatives(the worms) we will never actually be able to fight it.
Just as the agent of darkness can never truly fight the light. They fight us. There are those who choose a path between- the true path. I believe savathun has seen this. Only by fighting an endless, pointless war will any sort of status quo be maintained. The balance in either favor ends in the destruction of all.

Always looking forward to a byf vid
As much as I want to return to Destiny2, I don't want to. Despite the lore, I don't think I could ever cope up with the recent price of the expansion and the business decisions that Bungie keep making these days.

Does anyone know what warlock helmet he's wearing at the very end of the video? It doesn't look familiar to me but it could just be the lighting.
Is that not the triceratops helmet from Halloween?

Byf is gonna drop something special after the 1000th like, I just know it
Question. You said malok likely won't be back because we haven't heard anything about taken having throne worlds. Then what about oryx? Didn't he take himself and then go to his throne world? Is that different because he did it as he was dying? Do we know for certain if oryx actually took himself or not? I always assumed he did.
Please give us part 2 of the awoken story
We know the two hive gods, what about the last sister to Oryx and Savathune
Do you think sabathoon could consider crow to her “son”. Now I know how it sounds “he’s awoken and she’s hive”. That’s not what I’m saying, while under the disguise of Osiris sabathoon lifted crow up, supported him, and gave Him advise. Is it possible while sabathoon was deceiving us all that she could have developed maternal feelings for crow? (Byf if you read this can you respond or make a video on it. Thanks and have a nice day.)
*Savathûn.
Yeah i think she could. I legit believe she was honest about seeing herself in him and being sincere in her affection.
Savathun lies, but the way she does is Twisting the truth so It fits her narrative or tricking you. But having her go "Actually i never liked you hahahaha" would suddenly make her so two dimensional and literally any baddie from a Game for you to kill, itd loose the aesthetic she has
And just like that, Dom Toretto is Destiny canon
I heard that hair loss stuff nerfs your weapon.
I listen this while cooking, why not learn more about Savathun and her family? Before I willingly give myself to her on 22th of February? I need to know who is marriage potential.
Maybe Savathun's daughters and sons are dead and she will bring her back as Lightbearers
The preview of the title cut off loyal to lo… and I have no idea why I thought it was going to say load-bearing
