And this is why I still love destiny, because despite the shitheap of server issues, predatory business practices and bad balancing, there's still that nugget of gold in the center.
The game as a whole has had its ups and downs! Ive been playing on and off because of this but Iightfall/final shape has pulled me back! Heres to a positive future! And many more adventures!
I wouldn't say "predatory business practices" if you look in a vacuum sure, but compared to like any other successful live service that offers the same level of quality and quantity, Bungie isn't that predatory, people forget that Destniy is Bungies ONLY revenue flow, so the game doesn't have to just sustain itself, it has to sustain Bungie as an entire company, things entirely not Destiny related have to rely on Destiny to bring in money, which is why we should all hope Marathon pops off, because then Bungie can be much more generous
Man I wish Cayde would have been apart of our ghost in a way. Like sometimes Ghost would feel another presence and then you'd hear Cayde for some missions and the when he switches back to Ghost, Ghost could go like "I hate it when he does that."
That would have been pretty cool. I think they were trying to give Cayde a “better” end. When foresaken came round it felt like he was taken away from us, he IS my favourite character in the game and I’m glad he got the “death” (i mean he’ll never be really gone) he deserves, with it being on his terms. But as much as id want to see more of cayde it’s nice to see that they’re moving on and how much they’ve put into crow and the development of his character.
IMO, Caydes story is finally wrapped up, forsaken felt like he was dealt a bad hand (which IS in character for him mind you) but it made his death feel like it lacked purpose, but now his story is wrapped up with a satisfying end he was dealt a fresh hand and this time, played his cards right to go out on his own terms, saving our ghost (and lets be honest, by extension, the entire universe since we've saved it countless times now), that was his choice, his play, and tying into the whole guardian afterlife that was introduced, Cayde is at peace once and for all, his loose ends tied, hes free
This is his end. He was wrongly killed by uldren. This was his redemption. He was brought back to help stop the witness and in turn his job was fulfilled. Saving our ghost was his goodbye. His true goodbye
He was a legend. He was a hero. He was everyone's bright light even in their darkest times. And even though he's gone for good. He will be remembered fondly as one of the best written characters in gaming.

That sucks! Well I’m glad you got to see it. The cinematic parts of this expansion have been amazing. Speaking to ghost and wondering what you missed 😂
Ive been playing since D1 and completed everything single campaign and then started paying D2 and loved the game continued playing it more and then Cayde-6 dies it was sad but I kept playing and now after years of playing I finally felt to let the game go along with Cayde's sacrifice.

Cayde is the best character of the destiny saga, I will miss him so much and I will never forget his words because it’s the first time in my life I hear that I’m the favorite one of a friend, and I will keep his legacy go on in destiny 2 playing forever as a hunter, dear friends maybe you guys wanted him back forever but as like he said in the campaign “we must let it go” and if we don’t let him go and let him rest at his ghost sundace at his side, it will be so selfish of not finally letting him rest, if Cayde trusted his place at the Crow, we must trust the crow, maybe he killed cayde in forsaken and hated him for that but in time he won my respects and my forgiveness, that’s why we must respect Cayde decisión and let him rest by Sundance side and trust in Crow, because trusting in crow is trusting in cause’s decision, Rest In Peace Cayde we will always miss you and continue your legacy ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Without him no more light even although we were the ones who freed the traveler and dealt the killing blow the traveler didn’t even react to our call for help. Cayde did

@@Techhunter_Talon yeah it was a nice little touch, showing the unity, and the fact after everything the cabal “has done” they’re being accepted into communities and are free to co-exist amongst everyone. Hopefully it’s just a random cabal lol!
Great show of unity between humanity and the cabal. We started destiny 2 fighting against the cabal and the red legion. We end it standing with them against a force too strong for us to kill alone.
When was this cutscene supposed to play? I did not get this cutscene. Is it supposed to be after beating the witness and before speaking with ghost in the tower (when you chose 1 of the exotics for playing legendary campaign)? Or it after one the post campaign quest missions (ergo sum, lost in light, found the dark, wild card)? Or do you have to complete the raid to get this cut scene?
……this is literally the last cut scene in the final shape…..as someone who stopped playing D2 back around forsaken, maybe a little after and someone who no lifed D1, this is the best Destiny has been in a long time and in all honesty hats off to the D2 team for ending it this way.

Going into Destiny 2 and grinding out stuff while hearing his snarky remarks made it feel less like a chore and more like hanging out with a friend
@@ShroobyBunz I totally feel that. As a hunter main he was my absolute favorite. And was honestly what made destiny, well destiny (obviously other than clan mates). I will say he is in a majority of the final shape campaign

I just preferred the character model and my now wife created the character for me. In d1 most of the hunter armour looked better on female characters. I carried my characters over from that. Plus now we have a voice I think the female voice actor sounds better in most cutscenes than the male so, so I’m glad I didn’t change it. 😂

It plays after you beat the witness in the 12 man mission. you start it by going to the pale heart and selecting the mission next to the raid icon.
