I think when the community asked for a “Cooperative Mode”, they just asked for something simple like create a personalized race weekend or a championship in a future “championship mode” against the IA and be able to spectate and do real time driver swaps with your teammate when being both online or with the option to save your game at the end of a stint in the boxes and let your teammate do his stint later on the day if he is offline. I only see that point system useful to compare between teammates who has contributed most to the team in the race. For me this co-op mode should be integrated as an option into the Race weekend mode and the Championship mode. Of course, shouldn’t be any option to restart your stint if you crash or play with different IA difficulty between stints or players. For some reason they took a totally different aproach to this mode.
We will have to see what they do with it in the future that’s for sure. You definitely can do the race with your friends over the course of a month as your team mate can pick up where ever you left off, but being able to watching them drive would be nice like you mentioned. I think the option to restart the stint is fine personally, because it’s just against AI and not against real players. I think changing the AI difficulty is important because it allows less skilled drivers to have fun with their more skilled friends, but people’s opinions of course will differ on that one. Let’s see what they do in the future!
Great video! My friend and I have been having a blast with this mode! Is there any indication what "+/- Class average" means on the screen at 5:50? Mine is always negative, and my teammate always ends up with like 100k more points than me because he starts the races, makes all the passes, then I hop in with a higher difficulty and basically hot lap for an hour without passing anyone. That said, this is such a cool feature, I hope they expand it so that driver swaps can be done in real time, and we can spectate our friends stints. great vid!

Yes I’m really keen to see how they improve this game mode in the future, it’s really something different
AI skill you can decide what you want with that slider bar before each stint. Agression I’m not sure actually I think that setting might not be customisable during co-op

Alex, what is AI Skill & Aggression in CO-OP?? Is it adjustable??before start of race or set to max by game

They should have let us do this ourselves self hosted or P2P with saves, and the ability to watch each other.

Yes they are full length! The duration of the race will be displayed on the event card 👍
they add this but not a proper career mode
This was a long promised feature before they announced early access so they have to prioritise it i guess, it’s a very fun game mode
