When you eventually have to replace the valve cover and intake manifold make sure to not buy the OEM intake. Get the Dorman intake manifold. The check valve issue( which is usually the original problem ) has been fixed.
This sounds like the problem I'm having with my Chevy Trax 2017 I've been to my Chevy dealer and Goodyear spent 750.00 so I will check this out thank you.
@@alfredobizardi5491did you ever find out the problem my 2013 Chevy Cruz runs good but when I accelerate it has no power and I think it might be this hose because it very squishy
Bro I just said the same shit twice oxygen sensors or a mass airflow sensor o2 sensor anything to do w air pcv and purge are the same thing brother look it up I’ve done all of it too
@@projectdaysnathanrobinson8475 no they're not the same thing. An 02 sensor is also known as a oxygen sensor. But that's the thing with the blue sheilding on it. The one at the air filter box is the mass air flow sensor. A purge valve and pcv valve are also 2 different things. They're not interchangable lol.
Mines a 14 too. Mine has a few issues. It putters bad (hesitation) when i accelerate. So far nobody can figure it out and now it's having a issue where when i try to start it up at times, it acts like the battery is dead but if i turn it a time or two it'll fire right up. Starter is probably going out but i don't know much about cars. Help please if you can. Mine is breaking down all the time. I can't afford to save for a new car because I'm always fixing this one... I can't take it
that hose should not collapse because it's under positive pressure from the turbo outlet under acceleration it has to be flexible due to engine moving..
Thanks for this video. I really needed this. I am driving my mother-in-law 's. Chevy Cruze. Same hesitation. No engine light. The hesitation is very noticeable between 35 to 50 mph. The hose is very soft and I am going to be replacing it thanks to your video. This was really stomping me. I was checking everything. I ordered the hose from RockAuto. Should be installing it soon... Did you remove your bumper or did you do it from the top by feeling for the bottom clip? Thanks again!
Yes this also fixed my problem. I also had pregnition which took away from the performance as well, so I had 2 problems instead of just a soft hose.So once you replace this hose, if you still notice just a little more hesitation, do a Lucas fuel system cleaner. And use quality top tier gasoline to prevent from carbon buildup. Once the the cleaner does its work on the injectors and combustion chamber which takes at least a half a tank, that's when I noticed everything was returning back to normal .The carbon robs performance. of course, once I replaced the hose acceleration was strong and brisk but it was not perfect like I knew it was before. I wanted it fully restored back to top performance and I'm happy to report that all is well. I purchased a big bottle of Lucas so I used half a bottle and still have half left. I filled up with 93 octane on the 1st cleaning. On the second cleaning I went back to 87. 93 stops most of the pre-ignition. And I believe it helped clean the engine faster. So the timing would not be retarded thus cutting power. Hence cutting RPM...
@@natashalopez7765 Yes this fix my problem but I also had to do a fuel treatment, I posted a big reply that you can read through. Just visit the comments
I changed out my mass airflow sensor and purge valve and my car still jurking and not giving enough acceleration . I have a appointment to get it checked out with the dealership Wednesday. Any tips ? I am having similar issue, the chev Cruz 2016. I change the evap solonoid and changed plugs, engine light is gone but it still jerks just before stoping. Other thing I noticed my antifreeze coolant level slightly lower I had to refill twice in a year.
@GadGetHackss by the way turbo lag is not normal if you are experiencing turbo lag then you have a problem else where. Or just get a new turbo but turbo lag is not normal.
@@louski7927 Of course it shouldn't be very noticeable in newer cars like the Cruze but what the guy is describing sounds like normal turbo lag which ALL turbocharged cars have, less noticeable in newer cars because of the improved designs.

I got the oem part from the dealer only because my local part store didn't have it available. But you can get it at any part store but they might have to order it.
I had that same message popping up randomly. As crazy as it sounds it was the intake manifold, there's a valve that goes bad inside the manifold which also causes to damage another valve located on the engine valve cover itself.
Hey bro - did when you say hesitation - did you mean jerking back and forth ? Because that’s the problem I am having but only when I’m at a red stop light. The car turns off after the jerking
That's the problem I'm having. It might be the mass air flow sensor. He calls it the oxygen sensor in the video by accident, but I would get sensor cleaner first before buying a new one. I would also pinch that hose He's describing to make sure it's not too soft.
@MarvelousKnuckles no but I did have a jerking issue easy fix 3 things fuel pressure sensor $10 ebay new oem spark plugs $9 to $12 depending where you get them and last injectors I think I paid a little over $60 for all 4. Hope this helps
Good info simple home fix get a stainless steel large spring that fits inside hose. Like a home vacuum hose has one inside it.
