Hey matt im from San Diego.....but hey i have seen some places in the background that look familiar, you guys are in San Luis obispo right? Near oceano? My wife has family there. SANTA MARIA.
Good job i'm jealous
@@mb21599 It literally says "A Construction Time-Lapse" on it, and we built a home in 40 minutes during that time.. I'm sorry, but it's what I name them.
Fascinating! Made it and left wanting more
I started building homes when I turned 18 for 15 years. Framing was my favorite part. Having that satisfaction at days end that you built something to be lived in was immeasurable. During that period I worked on two different million dollar homes one in California, one in Louisiana. Your video brings back fond memories, as I am 62 today. It was a satisfying, enjoyable, no regrets, 15 years of building. I have built cabinets as well. I learned many things in the construction trade that served me throughout life. I recently started remodeling a bathroom on a home I bought in '97. In fact I remodeled the whole house over the years. That sense of satisfaction I get when standing back and seeing the improvement never goes away. You guys do a great job. Thanks for publishing your work on youtube. I enjoyed watching.
Reading this inspires me so much (i wanna do stuff like these someday) i'm 16
Very well said. I’m 55, renovating one of my rental house to live in. Super satisfying!!
@@11-stem1estrellafrancinesi7. Glad you’re inspired, hope it goes well for you.
13:00 - Best part was seeing these guys working in the rain.
I had a custom home built and my crew wouldn’t show up if a single rain cloud passed over.
Good job guys!!
what country was that .. ? here in england if you dont work in light to moderate rain then you would never get nothing done.
david whitehouse, it’s America, specifically California.
@@ovrbyte4427 that's funny cause this crew is in california.
Ive been teaching myself through books on how to build my own home. Your videos are a god send. Great visual representation of the things I've been reading, fantastic!
Mindsparx channel guy is doing exactly that. You should really check it out.
who remembers ever clip on this video? I DO!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!
These videos are my favorite, while I've seen it all from editing day - by - day.. Watching it all come together in a quick manner like this is so rad!
Appreciate the support man!
4,000 tops, 2000 lbs in studs, 650 lbs ply wood, 500 in plate, 300 in headers and couple extra lbs in blocks, trimmers and double seals
How much you think ?
By far the best background music I've heard on a youtube video in a long time. Some creators play stuff that totally distracts you from the video which is a turn-off for most people. This....not so much. I actually was able to watch this all the way through without cringing at the music. Thanks for that.
I live in the Middle East (Jordan🇯🇴) and we haven't had a wood houses but I watched it all good job guys 👌🏼👌🏼👍
which materials do you use to build a house
I loved watching this time lapse. Great work. 😍 I also love designing and building houses.
I like the fact that they work together as a team, these guys have been working together for a while.
Looks good!
Watched it from start to finish and could have watched for a few more hours. You guys are amazing. Keep up the good work.
I am a wood truss roof constructor, too, in Greece. Congratulations! Definitely, you are amazing.
Here in Greece, we are not usually constructing the basic building frame with wood but with bricks or reinforced concrete.
Only until 60 or 70 years ago, we were constructing with wood frame and earth bricks (bricks made of mud). We, also, were using reed mesh and coating...
Whatever, thank you for your presentation.
Made it! I’ve watch each episode from the beginning but it was fun to see it all come together in hyper mode.
Can’t believe they did this all in just 40 minutes
They went full super saiyan
Watched all the way through, and I watched all of the individual episodes. Great to watch and learn!
Love your channel must have every build on this you have up watched four or five times looking forward to seen future projects stay safe 🙂
Hey Matt! Your work is impeccable! I'm researching and designing my own home to build from scratch. I will use a contractor/construction company, but since this will represent the largest purchase of my lifetime, I want it to be all that I want...my forever home. So I'm learning all of the ins and outs of homebuilding so I can truly be a partner with my builder and not just a consumer. Thanks for the meticulous work you do. I should be so luck to find a builder as proficient as you and your team are...Thanks for posting!
Income is more important than Anything for Funding
Great video Matt! It was very fun to watch I made it through the whole thing!! Keep up the good work! John 😎👍
I made it all the way. I helped a buddy with his construction job for like a year and loved it but its definitely a young mans game. Great work!!!
I've always loved time-lapse build videos, ranging from motorsports to homes. This is no exception. Awesome work, stay safe.
My fiancee and I want to build our own home. I recently joined up with my local carpenters union and then I found this channel. Love the content and I'm learning so much. Can't wait to start framing and learning even more. Thank you Matt for the awesome content
Mindsparx channel here on UA-cam, trust me. Check it out. You won't regret it.
That build came out looking great as always. Bang on Brother 🤘
I needed this video to get through this terrible time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I made it to the very end, it was so certifying to see you do what you do best and I enjoyed every bit of it.
The best part when they used wood.
That got me off too.
@MattBangsWood 👀
He said it.. not me.
They should have used solid wood. chipboard houses are trash. Cheap but trash.
This is why houses keep blowing down lol.. Concrete blocks is the only way :)
Thanks for posting I used to frame just like you guys, brought back memories. Lifting most walls with the shear wall with your lift was awesome, your dumpster I'd add is a nice touch instead of trash on the ground. Not much of a attic in that house....
I made it all the way through. I designed homes for a living, so I found it interesting. I've designed homes that large and a bit larger. Fun work. I hated to work on small homes that the only challenge was to keep the square footage along with the number of cabinets down. I don't like living in a large home, however. I prefer a much smaller, but well-equiped home for myself.
It's customary in California to not have basements, but strange, because most houses this size have a pool, which takes essentially the same skills and planning as a basement. Basements have all kinds of utility (storage, media room, workshop, etc.) and this house has neither a basement nor any usable attic space.
We did a major remodel on a 2650 square foot two-story house in California, and I was able to recover oodles of storage space from poorly aligned staircases, linen closets, utility hallways, etc.
You guys did a great job. Thank you for the teaching 🙂
Clean, organized, & Skilled you guys are bad ass ! Great job !!!
Totally fascinated watching this build go up from start to finish. Watching from the UK. Great job boys, thanks very much.Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧
@Graham hello how are you doing
Made to the 40 minute mark, love these time-lapses. Keep the good work up
You inspire me soo much. I want to be just like you. I even started my own UA-cam channel 👍
Made it all the way through and was taking notes. Thanks bro
WELL DONE. LOVE TO SEE CONTRACTORS WHO KNOW THEIR CRAFT. ENJOYED THIS!
You guys did a great job! Made it look so easy.
This video is amazing very inspiring to build i cant even wrap my head around how long it took and hard hard it was to take all these measurements and make everything so perfect
I love construction i enjoyed every second cant wait fir another one great job
Made it all the way! Amazing work! I wish I could be doing this everyday!
Amazing construction. I like this work!!!
It’s interesting to see the old methods of frame construction are still in use. Here in the UK we stopped constructing the frame on site a good few years ago. The Architect sends the plans straight to the truss manufacturer and the completed walls and roof arrive on site with a framing team. Average house is erected ready for Tyvek in one to two days. Although your methods are much more interesting to watch. Great video really enjoyed it. Music also good.
Imagine being from south africa where everything is Brick
Xavier North Africa bud
@@carson9895 Still stacked brick and bad roofs?😂
They have that too in the USA, you can pick whole house completed and it’s put together like a puzzle, lumber delivered like what you saw on this video, you can even order a manufactured home and it’s done all move in ready in one day, there’s even concrete homes build like legos, it all depends on how much you want to spend
I love architecture... Great details framing, covering walls and rooftops... now I would like to see the details inside, the finishing, the color, the yard work...
These guys really are incredible. Framing a home with this type of precision is no joke!!!!
What's so hard about it? if you plate the ground properly before you start, it should be easy
That's a tall/Huge House
Awesome
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Awesome video! These guys with the circular saws are amazing. Strait cuts whilst balancing on toes; good stuff!!!
Nice one. House made from wood. First strong gust of wind and that house is history.
Im very new to this construction channel.. really inspired by your videos...
Brilliant building Team, but those Roof skills are BEAST MODE... Awesome video, and I made it to the 40 min mark! God bless boys!!!
I made it to 40 minutes. I needed something soul-wrenching and mind-numbing to watch, this worked. :-)
This was so satisfying to watch. Well done guys.
Watched the entire video. Very Impressive. The young men must be part mountain goat; the way they were able to move around on the top caps.
@David hello, how are you doing

Pop

@John hello how are you doing
40 minute mark... beautiful job Matt and crew..
super impressive man!!!!! love it
Hello from Barcelona, Spain, the way you build in the United States is incredible. everything you do you take to excellence, you do not build you make works of art in the shape of a house, and you walk over the wooden beams as if it were something normal. the said I am the best of the best
Brings back good memory's. we use to frame a house and a half a day, me and a friend. all thru orange county. love that shit. all fun. you guys do great work. keep it up.
what is the name of laminate for the roof ?
That massive Skillsaw @ 15:50 was awesome.
My best friend, Super! Looked, very interesting! I liked your work! I enjoyed watch your video. Thanks

Hi Matt. And that's how you build a house!! Enjoy the day and stay safe. Ray L
It is always fascinating watching the skills that go into building a house. Very efficient in the use of your material.
How to you tell shoddy craftsmanship from high-end stuff like this?
Amazing.
Watched them graft.
