Thank you. I had the same issues with my sequioa right now. I was thinking of the same thing with the bushing on the lower control arm. I know now where to pry. I also follow one of your other videos on tensioner pully, and I just replaced mine today. Now, the annoying noise went away. Appreciated. I watch a lot of videos, and you make the most sense to where I can understand.
Your voice is so calm and relaxing I would have you do all of my repairs as long as you promise to explain them in detail I get total ASMR just listening to you. Got yourself a new subscriber here
Periodically spray them with 303 Protectant to resist drying out and cracking . And if too fall gone , spray them with AT-205 Reseal until you can replace them .
Yes interesting front indeed. Booger welds. And you should say what you mean by preventative. At what mileage or other indicator since you said even before cracking.
Thanks for the video. My 2015 Toyota Avalon which only has 50k miles starts to make noise when I push the brake hard and quickly. Could it be caused by the Control Arm busing?
If you use Toyota parts, you DIY folks can cheat on the alignment for a while by wire brushing the loose dirt off those bolts and hitting them with some light colored spray paint. Photos work too. Then put everything back in the same position where it came apart. The alignment might not be perfect but it will probably be close since those adjustment cams didn't move since the last time they were tightened, maybe at the factory. If the vehicle doesn't pull to one side, and the tires don't wear unevenly, you saved yourself over $100.
The OCEAN......when the winds blow onshore during a high surf, there's SALT SPRAY everywhere within a few miles of the coast. 'Course lookin' @ the vehicle w/ those tires......mebbe the owner does a little toolin' around on the beach in the Baja
Stellantis, Ford, and Fiat-Chrysler are looking at this vehicle that has been in use since 1997 and are thinking....."God, Toyota-Lexus is such a stupid company to build them so perfectly".
Even without putting the camera on the mount i could see the movement , thanks for that demonstration
Straight forward, no no nonsense video that addresses exactly what title states, thankyou.

@@supersymun SMA does a lot of cuts on his channel too. Upper NY State.
You are a wonderful person.
Excellent work & advice! 🙌🏼
Thanks for posting. My 2001 has the same problem.
Great video
thank you for showing this so clearly. can I do the same pry-bar test with the vehicle on the ground or do I need to lift it?
Lift is easier to see. And do. Otherwise you fight the whole weight of the vehicle. Just lift the corner with a jack if you don't have a lift.

Informative video. How are things going with your VW?

Petr, Great advice thanks!
I count my blessings that I live where the rust and salt words are rare and the old bushing press out easily.
Awesome! Are you Also in SoCal? Do you own a repair shop?
So my bushings are bad. I have vibration on the highway. Could this problem cause catastrophic failure.?
97 rules the day!
How much for replacement?
2012 Toyota highlander 150K miles
Both control arms need replaced
Quoted fee $1,500.00 dollars
Is that a fair fee?
LCAs OEM are pricey at MSRP... Over 300$?
Kindly differentiate control arm, suspension arm and wishbone arm
