  • If you're using intermittent fasting to lose weight, get healthy, or lower insulin resistance, be sure to avoid these 10 common intermittent fasting mistakes. Watch this whole video because making even one of these mistakes can halt your progress and lead to a weight loss plateau.
    Intermittent fasting is one of the best tools in your weight loss toolbox because when you don’t eat, your insulin stays low.
    Insulin is your fat creation and storage hormone, so if you want to get into fat burning, intermittent fasting is a great tool to lower insulin. When insulin is too high for too long, you may develop insulin resistance which makes losing weight harder.
    It’s also a root cause for type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and dementia. So living a low insulin and inflammation lifestyle is key to better health and keeping the weight off.
    It takes a more specific and targeted strategy than just “eat less, exercise more” to lose weight with insulin resistance.
    If you’ve been at a weight loss plateau, are just getting started, have lost some but you’re terrified to regain, or just have a few extra pounds to lose, intermittent fasting can be a helpful strategy for you.

    Great refresher on what needs to be happening when I'm fasting. Great video to use when doing an audit of what you are doing. I tend to get a little "loosie-goosy"...time to reel it back in.

    Hi Dr. Morgan thank you for your channel. I started fasting and eating a low carb lifestyle in 2020 and lost 17 lbs over all. I was really pleased with these results as my A1c went from 6.2 to 5.8 blood glucose 98. Looking forward to it being lower when I go to the Dr. Next month. I am 62 post menopausal I workout regularly. Could you do a video on fasting and this lifestyle for women as we age. This would really be helpful. I have seen videos that suggest we need to fast 20 hrs. I currently do 14-16 and on weekends 12 hr. I've shared your channel with friend who are trying to lose weight.😊

    Hello, thanks for the information. How would i fast working night shift.

    • @sunnyday8628
      @sunnyday8628 8 місяців тому +1

      I would be careful fasting working a night shift because your algorithm is already off track I would try eating only 2 meals a day and staying hydrated is also very important and just like she said in the video eating clean and whole foods is important and no processed food and that might be hard to do when you work the night shift but you can do it if you try and pack a healthy meal for yourself is key no going out to eat👍🏻👍🏻
      And it depends when you sleep and when your awake so the window that you're up eat your meals in a 6-8 hour window and I think it'll help but if you have any health issues you'll want to check with your doctor to make sure you're in shape to take intermediate fasting on as well wishing you good luck you can do it just be careful due to the sleep and algorithms being off 👍🏻👍🏻
      At the end of the day it's calories in calories out 🌈

  • @sunnyday8628
    @sunnyday8628 8 місяців тому +1

    Please can give me the recipe for the replacement on electrolytes I can't seem to find it thank you so much and this video is a GREAT help for those who want to start up intermittent fasting 👍🏻👍🏻
    And someone said that mistake #9 isn't true well that's wrong it is so TRUE because if you're NOT sleeping well or getting enough sleep losing WEIGHT is really really hard your body slows down and sleep helps keep weight off because when you're sleeping like 8 hours a day your body is fasting then as well and the weight comes off bedsides healing the body from the days activities 👍🏻👍🏻
    I'm not sleeping well so I need to get on a better schedule and I've read that around 10:30pm through 11:00pm is an ideal time to keep your algorithm intact when you disturb your algorithm it's NOT good even those who work a nightshift it's still NOT good that's why many who do work overnight hours may suffer with more health issues as well compared to those who go to bed at the right time like 10:30 10:45 and rise with the sun like 7am to 9am it's very difficult for the body to get up really early too so for those who get up at 4am or 5am it's also NOT healthy on the body even if you go to bed early something to really keep in mind and do some research on it may be one of the number KEYS to keeping weight off as well diseases and disorders away🌈

    Hate to admit it, but I hate cooking. Are there any “healthy” meal delivery plans you believe work for healthy lifestyle, particularly if I have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes (5.7 AC1 test). Also, can you recommend any book that contains easy meal plan suggestion guide for a 7-day week? I also will start intermittent fasting. Thank you so much for your channel. Very easy to follow and makes sense! 😊

      Hi Violetta, thanks for the positive feedback. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Smoothies and eggs are some of my go-to options that don't require cooking. You can get my favorite breakfast recipes at www.zivli.com/breakfast. Cynthia Thurlow's book Intermittent Fasting Transformation has some meal plans/recipes. Many meal delivery options will have low carb options. So I'd look through their website (none I recommend specifically) and see if you can filter the options by "low carb", "keto" or "high protein".

      Of course you can just as long as that's not all you drink in a day water is key and no sweeteners I do honey in my tea but I'm taking that out because that can stimulate your glucose and your sugars levels so I don't want to spike my blood so drink your teas just as they are and lemon water occasionally 👍🏻👍🏻
      And be careful with lemons they can damage your teeth so to much it can be unhealthy for your enamel your enamel is so important and I like toothpaste that helps keep the enamel strong from acid damaging your teeth and if you eat acidic foods like lemons, oranges and vinegar like salad dressings after you eat swish water a few times after and spit it out this gets rid of some of that acid that left over..👍🏻👍🏻
      As well as acid to much on a regular basis can bother the stomach as well👍🏼👍🏼
      Good Luck 😉
