Yep and the most hilarious thing is the fact that they actually PAY these DEI grifters to come in and wreck the game - that's what always gets me. It'd be one thing if they were 'convinced' to bring in a consultant if the consultant was free and just giving you their opinion on something, but no - they pay an exorbitant fee to have SBI and other DEI consultancy firms to come in and make sure the game fails. It's literally nsayne what they are doing.
Any developer at one of these studios should start looking for a job as soon as the word is out that the studio is bringing in one of these consultant groups.
@@brandongray1059 They do so to get the DE + I discount on their loans that they need to fund these games. They're not doing it because they actually believe in it. The system has been rigged that you have to have a good DE + I score to get credit, and one of the best ways to get a good score is to hire a grifter company like SBI. You hire them for 250K as consultants and get a 500K discount on interest rates on your loans to develop the game, there's your incentive to do so. What we need to teach these companies is that it is better to take the hit on the interest rates then to get involved with these grifters.

I went and read that article. According to the author, Sweet Baby only does completely harmless editing to make games more enjoyable for everyone and that DEI has nothing to do with it. And - I kid you not - the author then explained that making all the games diverse and inclusive is doing exactly that. So they aren't anti-wh-te, they just want to have fun... by getting rid of all the wh-te people.

I was up for it when it was first announced. I like a good Metroidvania. The setting was new, and the creator said he dedicated it to the memory of his father, which touched a chord with me. Then I found SBI's involvement. I'm not giving money to racists.

I still can’t fathom why any Studio would take their original work and vision to a reprehensible company that takes no responsibility for when projects fail, but has no issues taking credibility for when they rarely succeed. All art and creative vision should be immutable. Art should never be in any way compromised, modified or changed ever from its original vision/creation. I mean, can you think of a bigger and better scam than a video game consultant company ? They just sit back and studios come to them lol. They don’t have to create a thing. Making games for an audience that quite simply is not large enough to support your games on its own is braindead. If you appeal to like a couple hundred people only, where does that leave you? This is why certain things just have and forever will sell better.
