      Bart, what do you weigh man? I'm impressed. How do you train for so much speed?! Also, is there a high degree of danger if you are training with that kind of speed?

    In this video you can see Omar Isuf doing some warmup sets with 135lbs.
    First one with 1 plate on each side, second one with 2 plates on each side, and third with 3 plates on each side.
    Lightweight baby.

    Honestly these are the best collabs on the youtube, I learn so much from every video and I wish i coulda hungout with you guys at super training and barbell brigade. That being said, Omar, can you and Bart go over your programming? Bart's talked about his program on his channel and how he's going to release his stuff spreadsheets soon but I wanna know more. Im assuming he's doing some sort of conjugate since he's got max effort and dynamic days. Thanks.

Squatoff (to make Mark Bell jelly that he ain't there) 4. Calf-raise off (team no calves probably won't get this one) 5. Max Chins off 6. Max Push-up off. 7. Dumbell curl off (for Omar and Silent Mikke to bro out together) 8. Vert Jump off 9. Broad Jump off. 10. Last but not least a Sprint showdown, yeah baby! Get at it boys!

    If you look, Bart's technique changes from his warmups to his actual sets.
    His warmups had great technique. Dan Green teaches Sumos as getting all of your leg drive out then you finish by locking out your hips with straight legs.
    During his working sets Bart moved back to the conventional deadlift mentality of locking legs and hips out at the same time which is not optimal for sumo pulls.

  • @01Trickster
    @01Trickster 7 років тому

    @Omarlsuf - do you always use mix grip? I think Clarence would advise you to use overhand instead in all your deadlifts for development finger/lower arm strength for the cleans and snatch :D ?

    DON'T arm wrestle. Unless you're a trained professional you risk a spiral fracture of the humerus That ALWAYS requires the surgeon to cut through your triceps. People often get radial nerve palsy from the break as well... It's not worth it.

    • @liveslowlivesimple
      @liveslowlivesimple 9 років тому +12

      i guess you should never deadlift, squat, or bench either. stick to machines and the 12-15 rep range!

    • @VikingII
      @VikingII 9 років тому +38

      Christopher Camden You're clearly very ignorant: Unless you *KNOW* how to arm wrestle and have adequate experience on the arm, you're in danger of a severe break. --Visit the bodybuilding.com forums and read up on all the powerlifters that thought their arms could handle the internal rotation crying about the loss of everything they've worked for. It's cute to act like you're all tough and repeat little hodgetwins lines and ride their sack through the night, but the fact is, there is a huge risk here. I was just looking out for omar and mike... if you want to belittle me for that go ahead

    • @MiroMayne
      @MiroMayne 9 років тому

      VikingII Interesting. Never thought about it like that. I won't arm wrestle ever anyway because my shoulder could fuck up any second.

    • @agencialt9633
      @agencialt9633 9 років тому

      that sounds legit, it can totally happen, but i think its fine if you dont over do it..

    • @VikingII
      @VikingII 9 років тому +3

      Christopher Camden please do some research. Your stance is a result of ignorance. Your argument is a textbook false equivalence fallacy... please don't preach things you don't know; it's foolish. ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_equivalence)

    Omar, when you go ultra-heavy on a day like this, what is your weekly volume like? Are you laying off the DLs later in the week? Doing ultra heavy regular deads and then that many sets of block pulls must be pretty draining.

  • @BuiStrength

    Does anyone remember about how many reps of 405 they could get when they got a 5 plate deadlift for the 1st time? I know everyone's body works differently but I'm just curious since I'm going for max reps of 405 today. Not touch and go reps, resetting at the bottom each rep.
