I love how there's a cheat code to unlock the shock pad and flight pad, with in the same level where you learn to use the shock pad and flight pad. It's charmingly pointless
This game's style is so charming. I remember finding out about the cheat codes as a kid, and the means of inputting them, and just thinking they were so funny and on-brand.
I had a feeling that the ice key and eggs wouldn't actually work. Though I'd love if rare actually went out of their way to reprogram em in when tooie showed up
You can grab all those mystery eggs and the ice key with these cheats, but they don't do anything other than sitting in your inventory (unless you're playing the XBox 360 / Rare Replay versions, which restored Stop&Swop to an extent).
I used 6 cheats last night, saved and reset the game but my file was still there. When I went back in the game after the reset, the codes were not active, so I just loaded the suspend point to save time from redoing it.
Yep, despite them saying 'Game Pak', it's actually misleading, since it's only the save file that you're playing disables auto-save and cleared. Thankfully the save states help significantly in restoring the save file
Wishy washy banjo is a really cool transformation because you can’t take damage in the worm sand or in the swamp water… but you can’t use the kazooie ability’s
Hey, GameXplain, I prefer three codes from Cheato like BLUEEGGS REDFEATHERS and GOLDFEATHERS by talking to Cheato first before going to the sandcastle floor at Treasure Trove Cove to spell BANJOKAZOOIE.
I remember watching this kind of videos in 2010 with my older brother, we we're Afraid of those being like gameshark and then something happening like erasing the savefile or even gruntilda apearing and destroying treasure trove Cove
Which of these cheats are the ones that are "forbidden" again? I haven't played Banjo-Kazooie in a while (and I refuse to play in on NSO until Tooie is also added), so I've forgotten which ones are allowed and which ones will cause Gruntilda to delete your save file!
They don't do anything besides unlock the eggs and ice key, because the feature was never realized in future games like Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie.
You gotta appreciate how they took the time to make almost every cheat code be a rhyme
I see what you did there XD
@@tannereustace LOL I swear it was not intentional HAHA
@@RBM1995 maybe you’re Grunty’s long lost relative!
This comment thread gives me pain, it makes me disdain!
Rare: Nah, if You're gonna cheat, you gotta put in a whole damn sentence.
I did the Stop n Swop codes last night and put an album on in the background to pass the time.
This game has such a fun way of inputting cheat codes. So glad they didn't just use a menu. It makes it feel like you are casting a secret spell.
I think there was a menu in tooie but you had to enter them

Do u have to do the puzzles to get bar health
Can you imagine Stop 'n' Swap actually working as originally intended when Banjo-Tooie comes to NSO?
Actually it works on XBLA... But they kinda repurposed it, and they didn't add the multiplayer mode in Banjo Tooie
@@basselhakim tooie online multiplayer nso?
@@basselhakim It doesn't work the way it was intended to on XBLA, though.
Well, it would be one application with both games on it, so I think it is possible
@@googamp32 you're right... Then yeah it would be cool!
4:10 So funny that you used the image of the evil book(s) from Creepy Castle in Donkey Kong 64 instead of Cheato.
I had a feeling that the ice key and eggs wouldn't actually work.
Though I'd love if rare actually went out of their way to reprogram em in when tooie showed up
I never knew there was THAT many! I don’t even know how I found out about the ones I did when I was a kid. Playground gossip?
The only cheat I'll use aside from Bottles Bonuses and Cheato Spells is the infinite air code. Clanker's Cavern is brutal...
it was the main reason i resorted to cheats in the first place, also rusty bucket bay because fuck that place.
SAME!
So if stop and swap is finally in the game? Does that mean there can be connections with Banjo-Tooie in the future
Nope, the feature has been removed. The items are just relics of the past.

I should probably play this game soon
Bro yes, is a chill wholesome time

Washing machine and T-Rex wax mention in Banjo Kazooie before Banjo Tooie as in 1 world was scrap and move to Banjo Tooie
I just completed banjo kazooie
I know all of these already but it's fun to see banjo get popular again!
How have i never heard about these Bottles cheat codes?
I remember watching this kind of videos in 2010 with my older brother, we we're Afraid of those being like gameshark and then something happening like erasing the savefile or even gruntilda apearing and destroying treasure trove Cove

Oh really I love crocodile banjo
wow i did not realize there were cheats for the doors, worlds, lair jiggies, and moves
Is there a code for 99 joker cards in Grunty's Furnace Fun? I have seen videos of them people playing the furnace and starting off with 99!
When grunty erase my game pak I will not quit when I finish the game I will put a Save slot
Oh my goodness I never knew there were so many!
Thank You gamexplan for helping me cheat with cheat codes! I remember thos days :)
how come you didn't include what the stop and swap features actually are? you only covered how to find them, not what they actually did
They don't do anything besides unlock the eggs and ice key, because the feature was never realized in future games like Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie.
Will Stop 'n' Swap work this time, or nah?
Probably nah. It’s likely just easier for Nintendo to directly post the original N64 versions’ ROMs than reverse engineering Stop N Swop.
@@Falcovsleon21 Fair enough
Just completed the game. Mumbo said the areas are open but they are still shut. Can only open the areas through the cheat codes
@@christigas8609 He didn't say they were open.
I only used the infinite eggs and feathers codes at the end of the game because Gruntilda kept murdering me. Does that count as beating the game?
all cheats outside of the bottles and cheato ones will only be useable in n64 version
Oh...
Lol. I still remember Grunty deleting my original N64 save file after entering 1 too many cheats 🤣
That really happened?? 😮
@RockyC93 yup, if you use more than 2 note/world opening cheats, grunty will delete your save.
This is so cool
I noticed the Stop N Swop cheat before you guys.
Does grunty still erase your game if you cheat?
Only if you open three levels with cheats.
i wish knew this earlier, but i beat the game 100% now i'm not sure if it's worth it...
LOL that is not cheato! thats the book enemy from DK64 in Creepy Castles Library :)
Of course you'd know Gruntilda
Can you enter the infinite air code before getting to Cheato?
IIRC the Cheato codes only work after speaking with the associated book. Speaking with them both tell you the code and unlock it.
I hope they added the stop N swap feature
The Fact they got the Stop N Swap Items In the NSO version leads me to believe they have Plans on Bringing Banjo Tooie to NSO in the Future
It's just emulating the N64 game... This is all working exactly as it did in the original
How to unlock the cheats anyway?
Not Swap --> Swop!
Edit: Not near the Peak entrance, but near the Peak Portrait.
Wait I thought Stop 'n' Swap doesn't work with the N64 version?
Nice
Honesty since this is now on the switch who's really using the infinite life's cheat?
Me
This is cool
You didn’t listen, I’m amazed. So now your save…is erased!
Sausage Banjo is best Banjo.
CHEAT ONCE IT SHONE BUT THE LONG TUNNEL GRILLE IS GONE
This us to break the impossible grille you can miss by activating water level 2 too soon
Cool
Bottles can actually brick banjo kazooie
goldeneye
I vaguely recall typing moo in for something... anyone care to refresh my memory?

How to get your save file deleted
By using cheats to unlock three levels.
How many levels can you actually get through as a washing machine?
Washing Machine code lmao
Stop N Swap doesn’t work
Firstish
secondish
Gruntilda will delete your save file
That is if you use too many cheat code if I'm correct
@@MDGOLD Correct; use three or more of the "illegal" cheats (world opening ones) and old Grunty WILL delete the file.
@@Devenix8527 Is it just for the file you’re currently playing on or does it wipe all 3?

Stop this cheating Grunty says, or your Game Pak I'll erase!
You guys forgot the cheat code Give The bear lots of air. This is the only cheat code that I use that comes in handy when I am in water levels
No they didn’t.
The cheat is at 4:20 at the bottom of the screen
Oh sorry I didn’t see it earlier
Oof
GameXplain late to the party on these codes. They been public knowledge for a long time.
But the game was released on the Nintendo Online service less than two days ago.
No, they're smart for covering it now while the game is trending because it just released on the Switch.
