good video.. months ago I mentioned in yo comment section I would be curious to see a dethatch of that grass type u deal wit.. looks good... now the wait.. sure its gonna come back great .. reminds me of the bermuda we have here in Ga.. again.. 5star
Great video mate, I think you would have been better off throwing down a granular fert for a reno. Then once you have recovered you can put down liquids as most of it is taken up through the leaf blade which has all been cut off.
The issue with the turf was it was too thick and cut to high on delivery.. When i saw your finished product after laying i knew you would have issues.. Scarifying a brand new lawn is a terrible idea. Remember this has been done 2 weeks after laying..😮
I have a friend who spent time over there with the Kikuyu people :) Greetings from New Zealand. We imported it here to hold the sand dunes together. It did that in it's sleep then took over the rest of the country just because it could.
@@turfandtools best anxiety relief answer ever.....mind you, in this day and age, watch some spazzo actually shower their kid or dog in this stuff and then complain about it lol.
Watched a few grass cutter videos from OZ don’t know why you guys plant that crap kukoyu grass it’s a bloody nightmare with all them runners...bin it altogether I say
Man it looked like you just ruined the lawn. If you were around here you probably would have if you don't water alot. Before you started it looked almost perfect to begin with.
You could skid a car through kikuyu and it'll self repair within weeks. It's hard to kill. I'm worried that he's feeding it... it might eat him if it gets too strong.
Dirt and dust. It's a big thing with some lawns. I bought one myself due to the amount I was inhaling on dry days. Dump a catcher full into a plastic bin like Tim uses and it all blows out up your front and in your face. Now if only I wasn't too lazy to use it I'd not be coughing up grass hours after mowing.
You made my anxiety go crazy. It’s brand new turf!!!!!
Your lawn is coming along beautifully. I’m anxious to see what the liquid concoction does.

PG Tips Interesting can’t wait to see how it goes 👍👍👍🇬🇧
My lawn is overseeded all the time and still has bare patches. Drives me nuts.
I wish my lawn was that good 😂

It’s still got the starter granular from 2 weeks ago. They said this will compliment it 👍
@@turfandtools it will for sure. But best applied to a full lawn. Liquid ferts need leaf surface area to be absorbed into the plant.

This isn't the same lawn you cut a few days ago, right?
No this is my lawn.
Kikuyu grass originates from my country , named after my community 😂😂

Never saw anyone lay turf and then cut it right away .
I’m always super keen
All that stuff pet friendly?
From the manufacturer “The products are organic based, your children and pets can shower in the products”. 😂

I chose it so I can show how nice it can be.
We also make mint golf greens with it.

As I said, I’m not a fan of a spongy lawn. Just my preference. Could definitely keep mowing at that height but that’s not the look or feel I want
You obviously didn't listen to a word he said Troy.
@@turfandtools I want to get rid of the spongy lawn too. Please guide me

why do you wear a mask while mowing

Nice work. Need to add a brick edge or something. Doesn’t look quite right
I’m going to persist with the natural edge for the minute but could change my mind down the track 👍
