  • DISCLAIMER: The CPU frequency appears very low in this video and have confirmed it's just a visual bug on AMD's metrics overlay. Average frequency is actually between 4.7-5.0ghz. I did not notice this until somebody mentioned this in the comment section. I confirmed this bug by re-testing games with task manager and HWINFO open, which showed the correct frequency's and AMD's overlay was way off showing under 4.0ghz a lot of the time. This does not effect the FPS results as it was just a visual bug and the CPU was actually running at normal speeds. Apologies for the confusion I don't want to mislead people!

    Nice video man! Also, the reason I’m commenting is because I’m not sure how you missed it, but CS2 does have FSR support, it’s at the very bottom of the video settings.

      Thanks for watching. And yes you're right! I've no idea how I missed that 😂 Sorry about that! I might do an updated video soon to correct that and also include more than 4 games. Thanks again!

    hey, im interested in this build for future games like gta 6 and bo6, do u think it will handle nice? and can u see a difference in 2k using fsr? is 2k fsr better looking than 1080p native?

    • @BenchmarkingBob
      @BenchmarkingBob  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi! Yes, this build can handle everything at 1440p and even some 4k. FSR on 1440p does reduce the quality slightly however some people may not notice it. I do personally notice it but I think it still looks better than 1080p native in my opinion. Also just to note I recommend using FSR with frame generation turned off in competitive games because the input lag can be significant. Thanks for watching!

    Hey! Good video, can u upload benchmark for the new game? Bodycam

      Thanks man! I don't have that game on steam yet but I've heard of it and I might purchase and test it in the future. If you don't want to wait, I've seen other people upload benchmarks on UA-cam already with my system specs.

    Also, why your CPU frequency is so low on the 7800x3D? Shouldnt it be above 4.0 ghz?

    • @BenchmarkingBob
      @BenchmarkingBob  2 місяці тому

      Thanks for pointing this out I did not notice this. I believe it's just a visual bug with the AMD overlay however I will check this tomorrow to be certain. If it's not a visual bug then I will delete and re-upload this video because I don't want to mislead people! Thanks again!
      Edit: I have confirmed that it's just a visual bug on AMD's overlay. I tested some games again and the frequency shown in the overlay is completely wrong. I confirmed this by using task manager and HWiNFO which show the correct frequency. Average frequency while gaming is 4.7-5.0ghz. Apologies for this!

    hey i’m new to pc stuff man but what is fsr? and why does the frames go up when it’s on?

    • @BenchmarkingBob
      @BenchmarkingBob  Місяць тому +1

      Hi! FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution), renders a game to a lower resolution, then upscales it to the original resolution and sharpens the final image. For example say you're playing a game at 1080p, FSR will render the game at 720p, then upscale it back up to 1080p, resulting in more performance. The downside is a slight reduction in quality but you may not even notice it. In my video, I used FSR with frame generation turned on, which essentially adds an extra frame between two frames, sometimes doubling performance as you can see in the COD MW3 benchmark. The downside of frame generation is that it can add significant input lag. I don't recommend frame generation in multiplayer games because of the input lag, but in single player games, it can be reasonable( depending on the game). Sorry for the long answer it can be complicated to explain. Thanks for watching!
