Hi Ako, I have plans for a landscape video later in the year, thanks for the suggestion.
That manual movie setting!! Thanks for pointing that out. Could have come in handy just today.
Once again perfect, exact and simple words to explain what to most of us begginers seems like mount everest. Thank you. Great job as always.
Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.
Paul you're a saint, the best tutorials I've ever watched,if only you could do something for my memory. Please keep up the good work.
Struggling for several days not getting managed to change my shutterspeed to higher than 1/30s in live view, you actually saved my life. Thumbs up and subscribed. Your way of explaining things is brilliant.
Happy to help, thanks for the feedback and for watching - your support is very much appreciated.
Great easy to understand the instructions. Very informative!
I really enjoy watching your videos on dslr photography. You explain things simply and clearly and you do not go too fast to understand. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback Stuart, very much appreciated.
Paul 👍
Thank you soooo much for this video (and all the others!!) I'm new to photography and videography and have learned so much from your videos. I've started my own UA-cam channel (for auto repair) and struggle with video settings on my D3400. This video was perfect timing for me. Thank you so very much!!!
Just exploring my new (used) D3400. This video has really helped to have overview of the various features. Fantastic presentation. Thanks Mr Genius.

Thank you so much for these tips. Wish I'd seen this video before attempting to photograph comet Neowise! I could not work out why I couldn't change aperture and shutter speed in Live View. Now the mystery has been solved! Have just subscribed.

Great and usefull D3500 video. Thanks from Belgium!
I love your videos, well explained, very clear. Thank you so much. I had a nikon d3500 that I never used, but maybe its time to start using it
Great tips. Really helpful. Thank you
Very nicely produced and easy to follow. Maybe you could start a contest for subscribers to submit their best work and critique it. Would like to see a tutorial on the D3500 and how to set it up for the best shooting. Would like to see if the D3500/D70 can be used with a remote. Also good to see would be an explanation of the different lenses and what APS and such designations mean and which camera can use what lenses, there are a lot out there and all we have to go by is if the lens being considered for purchase will work in your camera based on model, thanks mate!
Thank you for sharing. Very amazing tutorial
This is just great. Thanks a lot for helping!
You are very welcome, thanks for watching.
Great info thank you
Excellent training and explanation of Nikon DSLR. You explain clearly and professionally. Thank you for sharing. I bought a second hand Nikon and finally thanks to you figured out why the Lightmeter did not function properly. The previous owner changed the aperture correction and flash correction. I did a reset but factory settings dont return on all changed parameters.
Cool video and many tips will work on the D850 as well
Thank you learn many things need more such videos
Thnx sir , nice explanation 👌🏻👍🏻Always deserve like button thousand times👍🏻

LIFESAVER THANKS
Wow i just realized how cool the selective color effect is, thank you sirr
You're welcome, have fun with it.
Thank you really about the aperture thing in live view 🙏
My pleasure! Happy to help.
Buen vídeo Paul!
Good video Paul!
Thank you so much 😀
Great video. Thanks.
You are welcome Andrew, thanks for watching.
Was planning to buy a 35 mm lens. But because of u, I'd like to maximize my kitlens. Thanks you for sharing
Thank you very much for this video, which makes using live view look easy. I've had my Nikon D5600 for three years, but I've always stuck to using the viewfinder, because I don't always understand the instructions in the D5600 manual.
Another really handy thing to notice is using your exposure compensation via live view. It gives you a really representive example of your photo and can be really handy for big contrast f.e. a white bird in a darker area
You've covered literally covered everything on your channel but i thinl you should also make an video on metering modes on dslr and when and how to use it will be really informative.Great video though yet again🔥
Thanks for the suggestion 👍👍👍
My photo quality improved when I went away from using live view. I was surprised. Them little red dots are amazing once you learn what they do.
Great review!
Thank you very much.
Thenks monuse. Thenks for the information😘
Thanks sir. Your videos are always informative and very easy to understand
Thank you Michael, I appreciate the feedback.

@@photogenius Happy New Year to you too Paul!
I have a question - is it possible to use manual lenses on the D3300, D3500?
Great content as never use LV usually. Something to play with while in lockdown.
Thank you ❤️
The best explanation
Glad you liked it.
Brilliant
Thanks you sir 🙏
I just want to add that that this video was inspired by Muneeb Khan - thanks for suggesting the content.

Thank you - have fun with the effects 🙂
Photo Genius hi thanks I don’t shoot effects anymore it’s manual I realised shooting effects was way to over saturated I’ve learned a lot on your channel thank you!
I have got a Nikon d3500 and this video is very useful
Glad you enjoyed the video.
I love your videos. If you did some of these with a d7500 would help me abs im sure many others
Great job done. Too much to grasp for a beginner but will help as one practices and gains experience to almost become a professional .🙂👍

Hi Paul, really enjoy your videos. I have a question for you on my
Nikon D500. When setting the shutter speed after the "bulb" there is a
setting called "--". Whats is this for? Thanks in advance
Paul, you have enormously helped me enjoy my nikon d35. Could you please do a video on macro photography, incase you have done already, kindly share the link.
i have nikon D3500 it useful for me thanks for every things
Thanks for watching Mohammed.
Cool sir. We need for cannon as well 😊👍🏻
I will certainly consider it 🙂
Hi , I don't know about you but we are in self isolation / quarantine. hope the situation in Australia is different as you still have summer at the moment.thanks for the video , great as always.
Yep we are in self isolation now by choice as it's not yet compulsory in Queensland - keep safe and well and thank you for supporting my channel.
When you set up your settings to do a shoot, do they default back to the original settings when the camera is turned off? Does it have preset setting options for video and photos?
Good
Photo Genius which do you recommend Nikon d3500 or Canon SL2? TY
Thanks for this sir. In live view mode, can we capture using AF-S or AF-F mode? Mine cannot capture
Thank you so much for the information. Please help me how to put watermark on photos
Should have watched this video. Especially that manual movie thta restricts lv. One question. Does d5600 have quite live view mode?
Woow what a clear video! Just one more question: when using live view my shutter speed works the other way around... having a higher one takes longer and lets more light in, and the other wat around.... really weird and confusing...
How can I turn of the focus square on the life view screen. I can not get this square out of my videos when using the d5200 for streaming over hdmi.
I have a used Nikon D3300, do you have any learning videos for the D3300?
hi can i ask ? everytime i use my live view after i click ttaking picture why is it i have to wait few seconds see the photo where i can set this thanks
Hi i have an question I have Nikon d5100 and when I'm in live mode I dont see the exposure meter. Can you help me please?
On the canon T5 when i shot on Program live view mode i get 2 grey lines on the size..
I have D7500 and still I not use raw because I don't know which program I can use for manage that in jpeg. Can you help me?
I am new to my Nikon D7200 and in Live View you show the screen changing (darker or lighter) as you charge the shutter speed. My D7200 does not seem to do that. Am I doing something wrong?
Great video photogenius. Awesome facts.
Is it possible to use the Histogram in liveview in D3400?
Hi Ravi, unfortunately no option to view the Histogram when using LV mode.
@@photogenius Thanks for your valuable reply.
My D5300 in live view takes 2-2.5 seconds to complete a photo capture. Even if the Shutter is at 1/500.Any idea, how to speed it up?
hi paul I have a Nikon D750 would it be possible to post some video content on the higher end Nikon bodies?great channel by the way paul .excellent.
Hi Stephen. I would be interested in featuring higher end cameras, but I do not have a D750 myself to feature.
Thank you for supporting my channel - it is very much appreciated.
#staysafe #stayhome
I went into effects mode and tried the color option and now I can't get back to the original screen to see the other effects. How do you get back to the original screen?
When you change the shutter speed in manual mode also you see the live view changing color.. can you teach me how to do that in settings?? because I'm facing problem when changing the iso, shutter speed and aperture.. nothing Change in the live view.
