dude it's crazy to see nick release a special. i met him 5-6 years ago at a comedy gig in portland oregon (i think) just at some bar/venue place. almost no one was there to see him, i wasn't.
didn't have a clue who he was and i had never even heard of cum town. i was there for a friend who was trying an open mic. before the scheduled guys would go up there was an hour of open mic, anyone could go up and try. everyone sucked, even the booked guys. except for nick
from start to end of nicks set, everyone who was watching and listening was dying laughing.
he got up and no one really paid any attention at first, but with each punchline more and more of us were watching and laughing. by the end of his set almost everyone was not only cheering but also wanting more. eventually i ran into him later while outside smoking a cigarette. great dude, nick.

As someone who has also enjoyed nick Mullen’s comedy this was a little underwhelming
I always think about that, if I ever need to laugh hysterically-there are two guaranteed options Mullen on Cum Town, pod appearances, etc and Patrice clips from O&A. When it comes to “radio” they are simply the best to ever do it.
Nick is sort of grudgingly a standup. He’s like, I guess this is the process I’m supposed to do. Yet he’s funnier in this session than 99% of comics.

Funny thing about that freedman black dude and his peanut butter deal. He figured out that growing peanuts between crops of cotton and tobacco, two crops which destroyed the soil, renewed the soil, which meant farmers could permanently settle the same ground rather than continuing to move West in search of virgin land. So, an invaluable contribution to the permanence of settlements AND agriculture in general. He needed to grow peanuts, and he needed a market for them. Clever fellow.
