  • How to Shoot a Basketball
    Welcome to our first collection of "Finishes at the Rim!" This series of NINE different Finishes should give you a way to score at the rim under most all circumstances as you attack the basket! If you practice these moves and make them second-nature ( "Reactionary"), you will be UNSTOPPABLE!!
    www.shotscience.com
    This week Chase discusses the first NINE Finishing Moves taught by ShotScience Basketball. Each move is given in a short introduction by Chase and by clicking on the "Hand Icon," you can get a Slow Motion Breakdown of the play with several Keypoints.
    It's best to let the video load to the BLUE annotation if you plan on quickly navigating back and forth from the main video to the Breakdowns.

    Best recommendation from Shot Science is to select two or three of these moves that will work for you and spend your time on them so you become awesome with these moves. Difficult to develop all of the moves!

    I have been doing these moves all along by watching some of my favorite players. I'm actually surprised they are on this tutorial. These are like my favorite things to do and people know me for doing this. Especially the pick a boo and the worm. I had no idea they're called like that. But I tell you guys these are very effective to put your defender up in the air then you can finish with a pretty good look. Add a little something if opponents are learning your style, They can only get more confused as you add even little things on your arsenal. Great tutorial.

    SWEET!!! Our suggestion is to select two or three of the finishes and practice them until they are totally engrained in your game and you execute them without thinking. Keep us up to speed on your progress.

    This understanding of the game grows as you spend more time playing. No one is born with this understanding, you just develop it!

  • @ShotScience
    @ShotScience  10 років тому

    Great question. First it is unexpected! Second, you turn your shoulder into the blocker and they are looking for the outside hand as the shot and they of=en make more contact for the possible foul. Try it you will like it!

  • @ShotScience

    Thanks so much Rosario. The idea here is to develop two or three moves that you can use and become really good at and offer you several approaches. BTW, we hope you will "Spread the Word!"

    Good question! If you play regularly and hard, you can expect the shoes to hold up about 6-8 weeks. After that they begin to breakdown. Some brands sooner than others. You make get 3 months, but after that they give you a lot less support!

I'm quicker than most but only 5'3" so going my speed and others bumpin could throw me off, but I will be using this immediately. Thanks for everything Shot Science. Basketball is a game that you learn and develop every time you play. You build your awareness through Trial and Error and through this pattern you develop an understanding of the game. So plan to play a lot more and see our Attack videos for ways to get to the hoop!

But as soon as i watched this video, ive been able to determine a better way on passing the defender and finishing it. Thanks a lot coach~

    The Euro is one step then hop to the other to avoid defender and jump off that foot to finish!

  • @ShotScience
    @ShotScience  11 років тому +1

    These are 9 moves that we think are the best for all young players, definitely not a comprehensive list of all finishes. We plan to cover the Euro and possibly the Hopstep. If the spin layup is what we're picturing, it's probably not something players should practice or plan on using.
