i'm mostly unfamiliar with Jon Baptiste but i love how spiritually he hears, feels, and discusses the music.

I totally forgot about Anohni (formerly Antony) and the Johnsons. Used to have an interesting song I thought was depressing, but beautiful. Tons of great picks across many genres
I would love to know if Jon has ever listened to Chief Adjuah (a jazz trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist) -- he brings the culture of New Orleans and blends it into a new musical world .

McCartney, maybe D'angelo (it should be pronounce "dangelo" not D-Angelo), Mills Bros, the compilation of R&B (the original, not that sh¨t of today's charts), Anhony, Louis Armstrong.
I can live without the other's music. For real, I expected very much of Jon Batiste. I mean a lot more in taste for music.

@@mella9128 Not worlds, languages. "Angelo" sounds Italian to me (angel). "De Angelo" equals D'Angelo. It works as the Scottish Mac or the Irish O'. Search in YT : how to pronounce D'Angelo Italian.
I'm not completely sure, but I think in British English is pronounced as I said.
@@oskarobit I've seen a lot of interviews, musicians talking about him, some with himself, there is no doubt about the issue, believe me, anyway, he's a great musician, his album "Voodoo" is my favorite album

I mean, my impression that the choices he made sounded weird to me coming from a musician like Jon Baptiste. I feel like he was choosing some kind of "low profile" picks. It's a bit difficult to me to express this feeling as I'm not a native English speaker.
