This did not bore me to death it explained everything that you need in punching in my opinion! I have never used or thought of motion blur before. Very amazing tutorial
Great tutorial! You should make a tutorial about fight choreography because I can animate each move individually, but it's hard to keep the flow and have smooth back and forth punches
one thing i love about you is that you're so confident in your own work, you dont tear yourself apart at all, but instead you simply bring what you have to the table. Really great stuff as always g, Grace and Peace from our Lord!
This video originally helped me a little bit (doing regular punching) but I needed to do blocking for my next video (spoilers!) and I remembered that you explained how to do blocking in the video too. It has helped me SO MUCH!!! Thank you!! 🙏
No joke one of the best tutorials for stop motion I’ve ever seen. It’s sometimes hard to find people who are actually good at the thing they’re trying to teach when it comes to this kind of stuff😂
This is very helpful! Thx for creating this, Hank! I know this sounds stupid, but I’d love to see a tutorial on bouncing on impacts and what not. I find that to be the hardest thing when animating fight scenes, and you’re the only person I really see that NAILS it every time!
Even though I use different figures this guide is great. The reaction to the punch and SFX are also good for selling the punch. I haven't see anybody do this but I might try using a little coloured clay to fill the hand to make it look like a fist.
SFX are such an important thing and i started doing a segment for them in the last tutorial but i didn’t end up doing it. It probably would have been good to feature that in this tutorial. Thats a cool idea! 🍻
Thank you for such a helpful tutorial! I appreciate how you showed how to do the minor details. Definitely would also appreciate how to do sword fights if ever you got time.
Glad it was helpful! Lots of ppl are asking for sword fight tutorials but i’ve only ever done one sword fight and it was very minor so idk if i’m the best qualified for that subject 😂
@nonstopanimations101 Please do it! Everyone will love and benefit from it! I tried practicing the punching instructions you shared , and my skills have already really improved!
Can you make a tutorial on the best rigs and masking techniques? (For example, software used, how to minimize the need to mask in a video, hiding the rig from the camera, how to animate cool poses without having to mask too much, etc...)
great video tysm! Really helps! but WARNING!! don't recommend that brand sticky tack its not very stick and kinda stiff "Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty" is much better, way sticker ,super easy to use and you can use 1/4 the amount of tack shown in the video and it still holds up! ps. i know all this from experience.
I’ve used white and blue sticky tac and i personally prefer the white bc it’s easier to hide than bright blue. I’ve found it gets stickier and less stiff the more i use it 🍻
I love these different techniques. I use these in my personal stop motions but have never actually done a post about it. I will soon, and make certain to put this video in the description. Keep up the good work and if you ever want a collab or to request a video, give me a shout. I'm brand new and hope to gain some subscribers soon!🥳
I would if there was some stuff i felt i could teach but honestly i’ve just learned from copying angles from films and just messing around and experimenting 🍻
