If you are far in an animation and you accidentally bump the camera, just change the angle. Unless the cut to the angle is awkward, then just redo the animation. That way it doesn't make your animation choppy and you don't have to remake it. I bump my camera a lot and this helps me save some time.
That’s a great tip that I’ll definitely keep in mind for any future stop motion projects!
You’re right. Thanks a lot
Your the first feature on stop motion studio
Wish i knew that before i scrapped a ton of my animations 😂
I do that to😂
I love that he had the mandalorian kicking his feet while he was talking 😂
ya I saw dat

7:19 I’m subscribing cause of that!
@@thedarkjw6219 He did it before too
Dude that scene was so cute😂😂 7:19
Wow! First time making a stop motion!?
It’s a masterpiece!
Thanks so much, glad you liked it!!
@@sam-beige Your one of those people who will do something for the first time and have already perfected it

I know right!!!! WAAAAAAY better than my 1st 4th and 8th 😅😅😬🤣🤣🎬🎬
Yeah my editing is really bad!😅
I’ve been animating for a while now, and considering this was your first time doing stop motion animation, I gotta say this was incredible! You learned everything so fast. The only thing I think you missed was light flicker. But other than that, it was awesome! Plus I loved the fact that Mando was still moving in the background!
Thanks so much! Yeah the first couple frames I shot were really bad cause I was just using a regular light bulb, but I switched to an led light I had laying around, but definitely could have used a better solution for that. Glad you enjoyed!
I use 12 fps for my stop motions. And the dancing looks incredible! I love how you used almost all of Mando's moving joints.
Thanks!! Yeah it was fun having so many joints to work with. I imagine Lego would be a whole other type of challenge since the joints are more limited
@@sam-beige lego is pretty easy there just some parts that are challenging
Actually I find it easier, I make stop motion on my channel btw… you are way better than me when I first started! Good job!
I use 10 fps
i use 24 fps
Dude you progressed so quickly! I really love the dancing animation, its great! 🤌
Thanks so much! I still can’t believe that one actually turned out haha 😅
hello there
@@mbi.studio general kenobi. I've been waiting for you.
The fact you mastered 8, 12, and 24 frames so easily, is like, honestly impressive. I adored the creativity you had for the scenes you made. That was the most interesting detail for me at least. And also, I appreciated those timelapses. Plus the sped up clock is always a treat to look at. Awesome vid and animation!
Thank you so much!! Haha yeah I knew I had to get a clock for those timelapses
Yes very, but as an adult you have more money (better equipment), more brainz and more patience. I didn't have that cuz i was like 9-10 when starting.
yo
@@sam-beigeHow much did it cost?
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the Wilhelm Scream in the second version? Well played!
Wow! I wish I could be that fast at learning. True dedication.
Also, I love how Mando moves on the book at 6:20 and at the end.
one thing i knew was gonna be annoying was the arm to keep the rig still so i did the easy thing by spray painting and taping the helping hands so i can chroma key the entire arm out. did that way before i even started my first stop motion so i wouldnt have to go through the tedious process of after effects and could worry about the rough touch ups to feel confident in my several dozen work and become more detailed in after effects before i worked on streamlining my blending in after effects
As a small stop motion animator, it's truly difficult yet rewarding. Personally, I like making lower FPS animations because I like how it looks, plus its easier. However, you CAN boost an animation with certain FPS boosters if you want an easier time. A personal issue for me is the lighting. It's hard to be consist with clouds or unreliable lightbulbs.
Yeah that would be interesting to try boosting the fps! And yes, the lighting is so tricky!! I found an LED that didn't have too much flicker, but I also did a de-flicker effect in post-processing to help a bit more
I go in my room with no extra lighting from the outside so i pull down the blinds and i use my lamp it works great
I do playmobil aminations so 24 fps seems useless, 8 or 12 is cool
How the hell did your dance turn out so well. What a stopmotion prodigy 🙏
Haha idk about prodigy! I referenced a dance to help because I can't dance like that lol but I was happy when it finally turned out.
Dang this is really good for your first animation!!
Thanks!! I have a little knowledge of general animation which was helpful, but first time trying stop motion 😊
If you are shooting with the same background all the time, I would recommend wrapping the prosthetic that holds the model in green and basically create a mask for it in your software to replace it (green screen).
Great job!
Dude your simple sound design for the movements sounds amazing! Really great work that sells the scenes, especially the choppiness
Being someone who previously has done stop motion, I really enjoyed this. You don’t just have the stop motion correct, you also have the story correct.
Thank you so much, yeah the story was a lot of fun to come up with!
I’ve been making stop motion videos since 5th grade and this is so cool. I’m always glad to see new animators
Wow that’s awesome, and yeah I’m really glad I tried it out! I think trying new things in general is just a great way to learn new skills and better appreciate things you didn’t know as much about. Will definitely have to do more at some point 👍
that last one was awesome lmao. the dance looked great but i especially liked the way his head flops back after, he really looked tired
Haha thanks so much! Yeah it was getting late and that’s exactly how I felt by the end of that day lol
Gosh, can't tell you how much I love this video! To me, those 3 attempts turned out absolutely amazing. All the time, the time and effort you put into it make this video so incredibly entertaining and fun to watch, and of course, informative
This is really incredible! I love the meta story of learning stop motion being told through the animations themselves.
Thank you so much!! Glad you enjoyed it 😄
As an animator, I can say you did a great job! I personally animate with Mega (formerly Mega Blox/Mega Construx) Halo figures.
Thanks!! Yeah if I do more stop motion in the future I think it would be interesting to use some figures like that with less joints cause I’m sure it’s a different kind of challenge!
You deserve alot more subscribers, the editing is amazing
You're too nice, thank you so much!
When I was a teen back in the late 1970's, I was doing stop motion animation with a super-8 film camera which did not have a single frame shutter! Talk about being rough animation, but I had so much fun. I was inspired by Ray Harryhausen, a stop motion animator famous for the Sinbad movies as well as quite a few monster movies. He told a story about animating the hydra for a movie, how keeping track of seven heads was difficult. Then he got a phone call and when he returned, he couldn't remember where he was, so he had to start all over. I caught the Mandalorian moving behind you before you turned to look at it. Which reminds me; I meant to comment how well you did in erasing your rig from the sequences. Your compositing is good too.
I did some stop motion in film class in high school in the mid-80s.... at least our super-8 had a trigger for advancing by frame. We had the Rancor for Jedi moving billiard balls around and wreaking havoc. I'm looking at getting back into it soon.
This is beyond impressive to see your process with 3 solid animations. I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll continue to create in the future!
Thank you so much!!
I do stop motions and this looks freaking amazingg. Especially for a first time.
Thanks so much!! Just checked out yours which looks awesome as well, and I like how you use Mando in a lot of yours!
As a member of the stop motion community, I can confirm that this is really good 👍
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!!
As a lifelong fan of stop-motion animation and animation in general, I just have to say ...
Bravo! Well done! Kudos! Animating to music is probably *the* most difficult thing to pull off in stop-motion and you pulled it off flawlessly!
You have the PFP, the lighting, and audio HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 168 SUBS! You deserve way more also nice job 😮
Thanks so much!! Yeah the recent growth has been awesome and just really appreciative of everyone’s support ☺️
This is really really good for your first time!! Most people take too many frames, or not enough frames, or they just completely get everything wrong, but you did fantastic!
The first time I made a stopmotion was taking like 8 frames of lego "running" on the carpet 💀 I was 9 tho
But damn you really did improve on each level! Fantastic job and great storytelling. I liked the end where Mando was waving and he stopped when you looked 😂
You're pretty underrated! You've got great videos, great thumbnails, and great titles as well! 👏
Thanks so much! Yeah I definitely felt like 24 frames was a lot to handle and 12 was more manageable. But definitely read a lot of things ahead of time from people saying "more frames does not equal smoother animations" which I totally get now, I just had to try it out for the challenge haha. Glad you enjoyed :D
Keep on the good work bro, love the detail btw 6:20
Thanks so much!!
We all start from somewhere! I’m glad you finally have decided to do stop motion! I’ve been doing stop motion for a while, so I’m really glad that I see someone who is just beginning!!! Best of luck to you
Oh this was so awesome to watch! Loved seeing the progress and more importantly, your excitement and interest. Great work!
Thank you so much! Yeah I had a lot of fun making it 😄
It amazes me that you put this much effort for less than 1000 people. You seriously need more subscribers man. You didn’t even expect to get this much views. You just wanted your audience to be happy with your product. Great youtuber. 457th sub
Thanks! Yeah I'm so appreciative that so many people have seen this video, and I definitely always want to try to make the best videos I can for whoever is watching :) Appreciate the sub!!
ANIMIST is someone whom I personally love watching and I've been watching i him from the start and seriously he just nails it...
Man you are also doing a greattt job and you also made a great video on how these animations work. Thanks btw 🤝😁
Thank you so much!!
You are right this stop motion is a labor of love, but when the whole thing is done it is so worth it. Great video. 👍
I love that Mando is just kicking his feet when you talk😂❤
Who notice mando moving when he was talking
I enjoyed that at 6:22 you made him dance in the background whilst you talked. A very nice edit.
I love how the Mandalorian is moving in the background when you talk.
I like that when you commentate during the editing process you show you face. It uses more of the what would be empty screen and to me brings more joy to the video
Thanks!! That’s great feedback! Definitely wanted to show certain things on camera while also showing the time-lapse, so glad to hear that that was a positive :)
Wow that last stopmotion was amazing. Your vids are really good too. Cant wait to see more from you!
Thanks so much! Yeah my videos are kinda random but I’m sure I’ll do some stop motion again in the future 😄
Dude if you are new to this the. The results,are even that much more impressive!!! Truly talented and dedicated to your art, sir, this is remarkable and an absolute joy to watch!!! Extremely well made and produced, awesome!!! :-) :-) :-}
Wow. This video is great! Really surprising to see such a talanted person with 558 subscribers, but as the time goes on i am more than sure your channel will get bigger!
Your video really inspired me to try and make a stop-motion animation too.
Thank you so much! I saw that you made a stop motion video, that's awesome!!
I'm also making stop motion videos.
But my god...
Your stop motion skill is absolutely amazing!!
Keep uploading, bro!
Thanks so much!! How long have you been doing stop motion for? It is definitely a lot of work, but it was so much fun to make, will definitely do some more stop motion in the future
@@sam-beige I started posting stop motion videos about a year ago!
And I will always support you!
I remember making Stop Motion from a Beginner - Pro since 2017,
And you seemed to be a great animator when it comes to stop motion stuff,
So yeah, great job on that, so keep up the good work.
Dude, your starting point is ridiculously good. Keep it up!
Wow! Amazing work ❤
You are so underrated! This is too incredible for a person with less than 10k subs!

This is stunning!! Level 1 was already super impressive
i love this video! keep it up! its amazing to see people growing overtime and i believe you can do it bro.
Thank you so much, that means a lot!!
honestly this is reeeeeeeally good! You got some serious potential, you have my support, keep it up!
Thank you so much!!
This was such a great video! Mabye people take stop motion media for granted but you showed how much more to it there is
Thanks!! Yeah totally agree that it's taken for granted, and it was just a lot of fun to learn more about what actually goes into making a scene. Really makes me appreciate the amount of work that goes into making everything from a 5 second clip to a feature film!
your skill and production quality are so good. i really have no idea why you dont have more subs. keep it up 👍
Thanks, I really appreciate that!!
Awesome job! Each were great. The Fade Out was HILARIOUS!
YOU ARE A LIFESAVER, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH TIME YOU JUST SAVED ME. THANK YOU!
👍🏻 It's easy to see how much effort this hobby takes to achieve its goal. Great, well explained and: also told with humor. Thx!
This is so good! I hope you continue your stopmotion journey
I have been doing stop motion for almost 3 years and I really enjoy it as a hobby 👍👍great video bro
It's nearly the holidays and I will soon start doing stop motion again. I'm still a beginner, learning the basics but I'm surprised on how quickly you learnt to animate. That's quality work and I hope you will make more videos. Keep up the good work 👍.
Thank you so much! I’m a beginner too, but had a lot of fun making this. I do plan on doing some more stop motion at some point! You’ll have to let me know if you post some of your work on UA-cam!
Very funny ending xD. Great work man!!
That ending was priceless … 😂 so much work went into this! Insane.
Yoooo that’s awesome. That’s rly good for first animating. You have lots of potential. I also really like how in the end Mando still moves in real time with you. Idk how you even did that lol
Thanks!! Haha yeah that was kinda tricky to do (especially at my experience level), probably could have made an entire video about just that learning process lol
@@sam-beige you did great
6:44 bro really had a “ANDYS COMING” moment 😂😂😂😂😂
This is awesome! Not only that but the video is super high quality, your channel is going to be big!
Amazing! Congrats on trying this. I enjoyed every second of the video.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, that means a lot!!
Awesome Project ! Looks like a lot of work but a lot of fun. Inspiring.
Thanks for the time you put into this 💯💯
Appreciate it!! Definitely a lot of work but the result was worth it!
This is amazing 🤩 love it I use that stop motion app too that mando figure is epic
The Wilhelm scream was a nice touch!😊

Thank you so much, that’s the nicest thing I’ve heard all day!!!
Very nice video!! I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers the video was entertaining and very well edited! Level 2’s animation was definitely my favourite! Great job! 👍
Thank you so much!! Level 2 was my favorite too 😄
The way mando in the back is and he moves sometimes 😂
Nicely done! Great job in the level animation stories!
Thank you so much!!
I use Stop Motion Studio Pro, too - It's a great and inexpensive program! Your animations were awesome! Loved the end scene with Mando waving behind your back.
Thank you so much!! Yeah it's really amazing compared to all the other options out there!
I'd love to hear more about your setup of the figure and especially the little rig you built to hold him.
your channel is so underrated. awesome content! you earned a sub, keep it up!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that 😄
I love the clock sweeping in the back ground of 3 , really good stuff
Nice! Really enjoyed this video. Nice making Mando dance in the background 👍 while speaking before that ending part
Jeez. You are talented. You deserve way more than 4k subscribers.
Really appreciate it!! It’s been an awesome year and I’m super excited for 2023
6:20 mando just movin around in the background 😂
I've tried doing my animations at 24 fps and I just didn't have the patience to take 24 frames for just one second of animation. this video was great and your animation is really smooth! great job man!
Thanks!! Yeah 24 is super tough, I barely had the patience to make it through that lol. Whenever I watch that dance scene I can't believe how short it is for how long the process took
Bro how are you not at 100k subscribers yet? Your videos have such high production value
Haha I appreciate it, we’ll get there one day! 🤞
Extremely well done, congrats!
Very interesting to see! As an animator myself I can see you’ve really got talent, not many people learn how to do stop motion so fast. Not only the first attempt was great, but you also really improved by the next ones!
I’m animating with Lego for like 2 years now and it’s really fun to do, unfortunately it does take months if you want to animate a longer film. But I think it’s really worth it! I usually make my animations at 15 fps or higher. It’s not necessary to animate at 24 fps for good results.
The dancing scene you made at the end was very realistic and fun to see, especially since I animated a dancing Lego figure a few days ago. I’m interested to hear your opinion about it!
Thank you so much! Yeah it was a lot to learn but I had fun making it
Got a chance to watch some of your videos and they’re awesome! I love that you use Lego for everything in your videos (rather than using non-Lego pieces) and that dance looks great! Im planning on using Lego in my next stop motion attempt but I can imagine it’s really hard to get that kinda movement!
You’re very welcome! Thanks for checking out some of my videos! Yeah, it’s really fun to use Lego to create your own world, and you can make it exactly how you want it to be (if you have the correct pieces). You could make a river go through the landscape or make a train go through a city, you can decide if you want a green baseplate for grass, a brown baseplate for mud, a grey baseplate for a road, etc!
I use stop motion studio too, and it’s really useful for the basics, for example, you can see how far you move the figure per frame, and choose the fps, and more editing stuff. However, I do most of the editing in iMovie, because you can add green screen effects and you can change the volume of sound effects, stop motion studio can’t make sound effects louder.
I’m really interested to see your stop motion attempt with Lego! I subscribed so I won’t miss anything :)
i have just recently transitioned from Lego to action figures for my stop motions and i must say that you have some real talent
Thanks so much! I still have to try out Lego stop motion at some point but using an action figure was a lot of fun!
You did a great job for a first-timer! Amazing I hope you do more
6:08 dude the detail of the figure starting to move as it's bored was so funny I just noticed it xD
Haha thanks!!
This is AMAZING its unbelievable how underrated you are

Mando in the background randomly moving throughout the video was a nice touch.

Great work. You make a lot of great moves. I hope you keep up with the media. We're a dying breed.
Never thought of using helping hands in stop motion but seems like that's what you do! So cool!
tHIS IS INCREDIBLE, GOOD WORK!
Such a fun challenge! Great work and it gave me so much more respect for stop animation!
