“This bat belongs in a museum”
*takes it to a pawn shop*
he was a villain in an Indiana Jones movie
I was literally about to comment this..
LoL museums don't pay.
Well if you wanna make money off it you ain’t gonna take it to museum...
David Hasselhoff ......or to a pawn shop for that matter.
Bat sold at auction for $8700. So assuming he paid a fee, he might have gotten $7,000 at the end of the day. So he lost $5,000 with his stubbornness.
He lost 5000 for being deluded
He deserved it for carrying it around in a pillow case.
this is one of those moments that lowballin the seller feels good
Best i can do is 12,000. I can come down to 75,000 if that helps.
Wtf
baseball

Thank God the other guy wasn't there he would have offered 100 dollars and a half empty box of pizza from papa John's and claimed he was taking a huge risk

Guy was gonna come down to 75k for a 15k bat, lol
I would've asked for $25k because it's still rare
Ruben vega so what if it’s rare... that’s kinda where the $15k valuation came in. If they can expect to resell it for $15k, why would they pay $25k for it.
that he paid $500.00 for
Lmaoooo
What a complete bone head!!
SELLER: "I want $100,000 for the bat."

“Why would Darrelle Revis sign Rob Gronkowski’s helmet?”
“Well, they were both northern hemisphere boys. Rob is from New York State and Revis is from Pennsylvania.”
😂
the seller bought it at auction for $10,157 in 2016 and yet he thinks he knows better than everyone else that it's worth upwards of $100k
it was sold for 8.7K
Steven Baksh I think he sold it for that
What a great investment he made. Clearly an expert.
Corey really dodged the bullet with that. $8,700 minus fees and taxes.
Hi lose. $1,457 🤣😂😠🤣🤣🤣🖕🤣🤣😂😂
Sewell was also HOF and played on 2 WS Champs: the 1932 Yankees and also, the 1920 Indians, who were arguably the greatest single season EVER. His lifetime was .312, and he was hands down the toughest batter to strike out in MLB history (once every 73 PAs!). Such an amazing, disciplined hitter!
"It's a piece that belongs in a museum."
So I'm gonna sell it.
“It belongs in the Baseball Hall of Fame”.... “I’m here to sell it...”

lestudio76 B.B.
museums don't buy items they only accept donated ones which is why he's at a pawn shop trying to sell it.
@@woah.one89 Actually, a lot of museums do go to auctions etc... to buy stuff, but yeah, if he walked in with the bat and asked 100k for it, the museum would probably ask him to donate...
Expert says it's worth $15,000
Guy claiming to be an expert trying to sell the bat "I'll come down to $75,000 if that helps ya" 🤦♀️
That’s why the show is scripted 🤦♂️
That expert isn’t really an expert if he says that a a unique ty Cobb autographed bat is worth 15k he can go shoot himself
I would of picked up the bat walked to the door threw it onto the street
People are crazy.. the Gordon Ramsey thing on your page is even crazier
@@felixrosario3328 its not a ty cob Autographed unique bat.. Its a ty cob model bat used by joe sewell
“I can come down to 75k for a 15k bat if that helps you” Lmao
Joe Sewell went 7 years without striking out twice in a game.
I knew right away that him asking 100k was insanely too high! It would need to be signed by Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Lou Gehrig to be worth that kinda money.
And Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

This bat is Ty Cobb’s bat from Joe Sewell’s backyard in which Ty Cobb gave to Joe Sewell to use in a game that Ty Cobb played
Signature guy literally just looks at it through an ipad camera, then looks at some pics of a legit signature he found on google
Yup that's why he's fraud. He had authenticated counterfeit items just because they were really close but faked on purpose and got exposed.
Ty Cobb and Joe Sewell got along famously
i was friends with Joe Sewell, him and Ty Cobb were very good friends. I personally saw this bat as well as his favorite bat "Black Betsy"
Did you and Joe Sewell get along famously?

Corey: I don’t know much about Ty Cobb but he sharpened the spikes on his cleats to cut people.
I’d say you don’t know ANYTHING about Ty, Corey.
He know the myth. The AL Stump version of Ty Cobb.
@@oldcremona Truly one of the greatest character assassinations of the 20th century. Al Stump was a hack.
Dude's like "the expert left a lot to be desired." Ummmm, no, sounds like you tried to pull a fast one passing it off as one of Ty Cobb's ACTUAL bats that he let another player use. Which honestly doesn't make any sense.
He said he didn’t know if Ty Cobb used it
This bat belongs in a museum!!
So do you!!!
Cory you are the best , because, you are not only following your grandfather’s and father’s legacy , but also emotionally attached towards your business, 🙏
Very cool. Joe was my great-grandfathers (Luke Sewell) brother. I have tons of baseballs signed by him. Literally every single one of his signatures look like that
Wasnt even close on price. Nice bat though. Was fun to watch. Great video
He should've told the guy that Joe Sewell strikout less than teams when he played in 1925 he had 8 strikouts all season.
When the person with an item claims they are an expert you can almost guarantee shade is going to be thrown at the Pawn Stars experts 😂
That handshake "I love it"
why did he sign it three times though.
That's what I was wondering. There's not a chance the signatures are authentic
I love it when the expert gives a low appraisal seller is like "he doesn't know anything "
The guys says I'm an expert. Apparently not when it comes to the price. Lol
Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Micky Mantle, Willie Mays, and Joe Sewell.
Sewell was part of murderers row if im not mistaken... he played with Ruth too. Ah, theres the subtitle...
Seller says its a piece that belongs in the baseball hall of fame, then he takes it to a pawn shop 🤔
100k bat and you’re carrying it around in a pillow case 🤣🤣🤣
The best indicator of value for a sports collectible is, Will it take a spark? Can i light my fire with it?
Finally a decent video!
When he said 100 grand I laughed. I thought it would be worth a couple thousand.
Best I can do is 3 paperclips, a basketball half and and and almost full orange julius. Not a penny more
"It's a part of baseball history. It's a piece that deserves to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame"
So you decided to roll out to Vegas and sell it to a Pawn shop... lol
He is a PowerSeller on eBay (zanebats). Took the gig for exposure, which probably backfired since he came off as the same jerk he is on eBay.
"Well, you see the reason they both signed the bat is that they are both from the same alternate reality I'm from. . . . .
I'm always thinking that after these sellers get their money, they run across the street and blow it all at the casinos.
Or blow it on blow.....
When a so called expert meets a real expert
Also, seller calls himself an expert yet seems to think that Sewell personally got this bat from Cobb, who also used. They never even played on the same team
Joe Sewell only use one bat in his whole career
That guy is insane. It doesn't matter who he gets to value it, he's always going to think it's worth $100k.
History of the day
Joe Sewell and Mr. Brown got along famously
I'm an expert at bats so ima take it to a pawn shop
I’ve never watched a full baseball game in my life
I have. Years ago, when Seattle still had the old kingdome, I would go to almost every Mariner home game when I was a kid. Back then, you could sit behind home plate for $10 dollars
"This belongs in a museum, I'm not gonna offer like my dad so...I'll give you $30 for it."
"It's signed by-"
"$35 it's a used bat"
Quick update: the museum had the last laugh!
This guy claims that he's an expert, but if that was true, he would have known the bat was not worth $100K
I don't blame him for starting high - that's negotiating protocol - but not to the moon, Alice.
“I have the fountain of youth in my backyard. It will literally grant you and whoever eternal physical life. I wish to excavate it and sell it.”
“Best I can do is $150. Keep in mind, I’m taking the risk, all right? And I have overhead.” *Rick’s classic cackle*

Twice, ‘this bat belongs in a museum’, while stood in a pawn shop. Anyone stop to think, perhaps it was a confession? Any nearby museums missing a bat??
They need to start bringing authentication for these memorabilia’s even with sports cards
Expert: Its worth 15,000
Seller: Me want 100,000. Gimmie Gimmie
When they cut to the expert the bat rolls off the counter if you time it just right you can see it
You see it roll to the edge not come off
that bat is made of Ash. the grain is very distinctive. Ash is so much lighter than Maple, but fractures/splinters like long grains. when are they (MLB) going to allow bamboo-cored, birch/maple bats...?
I'll give ya a buck
Rip old man
Lol I am an expert myself 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️😂
Rick likes silver ...good stuff
I wonder if Ty Cobb ever ate corn on the cob??
Famously with Brown Mr.
Give it an auction house for 15% if it’s worth 100k. At 15k, the offer was 12k or 20%.
Ask the same question 6 different ways and don’t listen to the answer each time
I’ll come down to $75k when it’s worth $15K
Bart Simpson : rocks and soil is on fire !!
They had white markers then
Mom asking son why you always playing videogames ..son ..that's my business , I'm an expert
0:14 dude looks like Tom Hanks 😂
Tom Hanks ?! Chum looks more like Tom Hanks than that guy,lol ?!
That guy trying to sell it knows full well Ty Cobb didn't use that bat in the game. It wasn't even Cobb's bat.
It's a Ty Cobb model bat. I still have my Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays model bats. But obviously I purchased them in a sporting good store. All the star players had signature bats when I was a kid.
That's my business and I'm an expert
Sells to a pawn shop
"thank you for letting me enter your public pawn shop"
Good thing Rick didn't do this one cause he is of the opinion Ty Cobb is the single greatest ballplayer in history (he has a small case, admittedly).
sometimes ppl just try there luck on these places lol
I'm an expert. 😂🤣😂
Should have taken the 12k and run buddy.
He Always looks like he ain’t trying to buy anything lol
Expert says "It's worth about $15.000.
Seller responds" I'll accept $75.000 if that helps you".
😆.
This guy looks a lot like tom hanks from forest gump :p
Even sounds like it, crazy
I have to frame it and it's going to sit for along time so$4.20 it's all I can do I'm taking a huge risk
Lmfao this was hilarious
"Do you mind if I go round the back and use this"
*sure*
"Doesn't feel like a real bat, lemme call an expert"
100 grand for a bat but he can come down to 75 grand shouldnt a ball & glove come with it for that price??
100 grand should buy you the team.
If it’s worth what you’re asking, why would you try and sell it in a pawn shop of all places? Take it to a auction house if you’re claiming to be what you thinks it’s worth.
if you are an expert, why dont you sell it at what its worth? it shouldnt be that hard, this isnt the only place you can do it
Mauri QHD they have to make money too
So if its worth 15,000 and they buy it for 15,00
When they sell it they will sell it for the same amount (15,000)
So they wont make any money which is why if they make a deal for 12,000 the seller will make 12,000$ and the pawn store will make 3,000$
I've got guy for sports stuff that's real good, and a guy for signatures [full stop].
Its painful to watch these "experts" try and sell items for ridiculous amounts even after a actual expert shows up with real market prices.
First, why did 1 guy sign in 3 times? Second, who would pay $15k for a bat signed and played by someone without name recognition. I'd like a Bonds bat, Griffey, Canseco, McGwire, Henderson, Bo would all be of interest as well. Williams, Mantle, DiMaggio, Aaron would be cool (Ruth would be too crazy a price.) Ty Cobb would be something cool, but it has to be something he used; not just a bat with his name on it.
"That's my business, and I'm an Expert" such a bombastic statement as he is asking $100,000 for a $15,000 bat. lol
Exactly, Frank. He insulted his prospective buyer at the onset, which is a cardinal sin in negotiating strategy. The guy is so full of himself, he has lost touch with reality.
It belongs in the museum but I bring to a pawn shop
because museums don't buy items, pawn shops do.
