Some useful information here but the many edits and skipped steps make this seem easier than it really is. I would like to see ALL the steps from the point of first opening the hood.
Why wouldn't you show the removal and install of the spark plug? That was the most important part lol. I wanted to see how the plug comes out with the plug socket....
Great video, but I am running into a problem that was not shown in this video. On my 02 LS430, the ignition coil on the driver side bank closest to the front is blocked by the oil dipstick tube. How did you get this out? Thank you.
awesomedude620 for that one, unclip the wire from the ignition coil harness. Then use an extension and u-joint to remove the bolt securing the coil down. At that point, pull out the coil and move it around as you pull it out around the dipstick. That will do the trick.
Looking from the driver side fender, I found that after you undo the bolt, it helps to twist the coil pack 180 degrees so the bolt hole on the coil pack points leftward away from the dipstick tube. The contacts of the connector will point down toward the exhaust ports. That creates enough of a gap to gently nudge the dipstick tube to the right and allow the coil pack to be pulled all the way out. If you do it right, you shouldn't have to struggle with this. No wiggling or anything.

Thx gene for feedback

So how did the old plugs look? Still gapped to spec? My bet is that they did. Need a torque wrench to tighten the plugs.
Looked fine. No issues!
@@MotorHead18 Regret changing them? Still have the originals in my '98 LS400.
Thank you bro
When you put the coil packs back in place, did you hear a snap or do they just drop back in place, I’m worried about getting a misfire.
I felt it snap onto the spark plug

Please make a video of location of fuel injectors
Good for 2006 GS430? Wondering if the new body style changed anything
Same motor.
Nope, they should still share the same motor!
