there are so few good videos on the rx. I guess it’s more a family persons car than an enthusiasts. Therefore your video is much appreciated. It’s good !!!!
Amazing! Hoping to see a video on cleaning the throttle which I've now learned is located right behind the air intake! 🙏🏼 Had cleaned my maf, filters and engine oil but just needed to go back in a little deeper to find the throttle. New family mechanic here 🙌🏼 haha thanks for you video! New spark plugs ftw 💪🏼
Nice vid, you even explained gapping. I'm surprised how many people just "trust" the factory gap. I did these a couple years ago and it was not fun. Anit-seize the ongoing debate, I always use it on mine.
I bought a used lexus rx330 thunderbolt edition 2005 185thousand miles and had spark plugs coil gasket coil boot timing belt and water pump cost 1298.80 but it is running like a brand new one can't complain paid 6300 for it and inside and outside looks brand new so hopefully it will be good to go now
You'll have a reliable vehicle for many years to come, my sister's 2004 have 356000 miles, and the engine sound smooth, I have the 2008 rx350. Wich is similar. Running great with 245k miles.
@@jdcauto5977what do you mean? Don't those (3) bracket bolts help support the weight of the upper intake manifold? How do you thread those with the tiny clearance you have?
This is how it is on transverse mounted V shaped engines of all makes. Long change durations (75 to 100k miles) on platinum & iridium plugs allowed engineers to put these larger engines in FWD cars.
Just a quick note. My brackets are attached to break lines. Releasing the bracket from below will not allow you to remove the intake with brackets. It is a 14mm passenger side and a 12mm drivers side my middle one was not attached either. A ratcheted box end was my solution. Good luck it is a jobs but well worth it
Thank you for showing that this job can be done without removing the wipers, wiper motor and cowl tray!
He didn't screw on the bracket/hanger bolts on the back of the upper intake manifold
I need to watch again. I am not a mechanic. but trying to learn. dealerships and other mechanics charge a lot. This video is really VERY helpful

Thank you for the step by step process. About to start replacing all the spark plugs

Thank you for the tutorial. Took me almost 3 hours with no power tools… it should not be this hard to replace spark plugs man🥲
Thanks for your input, just starting now. Cheers
I subscribed because ur awesome w/ camera and details on what your doing! was great! Thx. I own a 04 rx 330.
Man, such a great explanation!!! Thank you so much
Very good job. I call it perfect class to watch, thank you very much
Excellent video. What program are you using for finding the torque specs (Mitchell)??
thanks so much my friend you were very helpful
20:00 - pcv hose location at left side.
Thank you!
Great job, young man… How much would an auto mechanic shop charge for this job?
Some Bullsheet ! Damn unreal
Where you at ? I would like you to work on my 2004 Lexus rx330.
Did you have to remove the wipers and wiper motor and all that to reach those back ones? I don’t think I seen that in the video
I did not have to.

This is ridiculous just to replace spark plugs
Not really... when you consider how long the plugs last. 1 hour total labor every 80k is not bad.

Thank you.
Thank you for help
Is it possible to reach the Pcv valve without pulling this all off as well?
Not in my experience
I change my pcv valve without removing anything. It takes a bit of patience tho
How long have you been a "mechanic"?
Please have somebody hold you camera of use tripod...I'm feeling sick
I cannot believe what a chore it is just to change out the spark plugs. Shame on them.
So stupid making that hard
