    New to fly tying but I tie basic nymphs. Nice to see seasoned anglers tying what they feel works.

    Would you say your flys are tied for cedar colored waters

      Hey Russell! We've fished these flies in a lot of rivers from very clear to quite off colour. Of course each river is different in it's food sources and fish behaviour to some extent but we've found these flies to work almost everywhere we've fished them!

    Do you use perdigons for steelhead

      Hey Justin! In our experience we do better with other flies (pheasant tails, hares ears). I think part of this is because we're often fishing slower runs and pools where the softer fibers in those flies move better. That said, perdigons definitely do work for them!

      To clarify that thought, we're talking about steelhead specifically. Perdigons work extremely well for resident trout!!
