What you want to do if that happens is is super glue everywhere you cut your tag ends because if will start unwind just make sure not to get it in the eyelit and that fly should never fall apart just go to a craft store to get the super glue
many years ago our NC state biologists tested 80 + species of fish reactions to colors. they said many anflers though especially trout and crappie loved the color pink . he said not so,the color pink irritated and agitated them and they go after pink to get it out of there immediate are. many outher species of fish readily go after it.i ty many pink flys and plugs bright pink . slow day's fish don't bite I add a small peace of pink on hook and bass eat the fly up.papa wishing you well 😊.

I tied some pink yarn with a hackle and was catching a ton of trout with it. It finally fell apart after 3 hours. I'm still learning to tie.
