So yeah RIP to the Rev. Apparently before his death he did do some songwriting on the Nightmare album and did the drums on a few of the songs. But the drums on the rest of the album were done by another legendary drummer named Mike Portnoy. Known for being the drummer & founding member of Progressive Metal band Dream Theater which at the time he unfortunately left citing being burnt out & his focus on other side projects. And now he recently reunited with Dream Theater. But yeah RIP to The Rev but thanks to Mike Portnoy for helping the band complete the Nightmare album.
These guys are all great musicians, and they have a ton of material to check.Synyster is a top notch guitarist, always hits the mark. The video for Beast and The Harlot is cool, and the intro to the song is really good.Buried Alive is great,Welcome To The Family,Almost Easy and So FarAway is a tribute toThe Rev,the video shows how they grew up together and formed .Great reaction
Watch some of their Live in the LBC concert! They have a full HD video with timestamps for each song. Bat Country and Critical Acclaim are a good place to start, or seize the day like the cannibal said
Lol I think Zacky just loves to slow dance. Because in this video, he dances with a skeleton, and in the Afterlife video (which is also awesome), he dances with his wife.
I first discovered them in 2003 Waking The Fallen (2nd album) the songs "Unholy Confessions" followed by "Chapter Four" solidify them in my favorites. ↓ My A7X Playlist ↓ A Little Piece of Heaven (not the typical A7X song, do not judge them based on this song) Acid Rain Afterlife (Banger!) Almost Easy (Banger!) And All Things Will End Bat Country (2006 win the MTV video award for Best New Artist for their song "Bat Country.") Beast and the Harlot (Banger!) Betrayed Blinded in Chains Buried Alive (Banger!) Burn It Down Carry On Chapter Four (Banger!) Clairvoyant Disease Crimson Day Critical Acclaim (Banger!) Crossroads Dancing Dead Danger Line Dear God Desecrate Through Reverence Eternal Rest Exist Fiction (This track was written by the band's drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan three days before he was found dead on December 28, 2009, the last song to be written by The Rev. ) Girl I Know God Hates Us Gunslinger Hail to the King (Banger!) I Won't See You Tonight Part 1 Lost M -I -A Nightmare (Banger!) Nobody Not Ready to Die Paranoid (Cover) Planets Remenissions Requiem Save Me Scream (Banger!) Seize the Day Set Me Free Shattered By Broken Dreams Shepherd of Fire Sidewinder So Far Away (This is a raw and emotional tribute to Avenged Sevenfold's late drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, unlike most songs they written) Strength of the World The Stage (Banger!) Seize the Day, is an easy listen.
A7x did something most metal bands would not have done with their song dear God.
Yeah, I absolutely love Dear God, and I’m not a fan of country at all. But that song is just beautiful and emotional.

Critical Acclaim BUT it needs to be the album version. LBC live version is great but you don't get the whole song, which imo is a dissapointment
