This is definitely the best Valentine’s Day song of all time, no one can tell me otherwise.
If Halloween and Valentine had a Baby 😅😅😅😅
Nothing says happy valentines like a little necrophilia
Its literqlly a song about a toxic relationship
@@JT-ex3pi Like I said the best Valentine’s Day song of all time and you or no one else can tell me otherwise
And die hard is the best Christmas movie 😅🍻, bring it on (unless your argument is home alone then we can have a discussion).
I will never not love watching anyone's first time reaction to this masterpiece!! The Rev (R.I.P.) was an amazing drummer and great song writer as well!
So far away almost had me in tears, the video was so sad :(
@66 Seraphs I saw the tour just after the Rev passed away.. and I won't lie I absolutely did cry when Fiction was played. It was just M, Portnoy and an empty grand piano bathed in a purple spotlight on stage.
@@Blackdog06019 I saw them on the Hail to the King tour in April 2014, they did the same thing. The ENTIRE crowd was chanting. JIM-MY! JIM-MY! And Matt was trying to speak into the Mic but had to stop and cry and just enjoy the chanting. It was absolutely beautiful. When the light was on the empty Piano bench, man that was a heavy heavy moment that I'll never forget.
Fun little fact about this song...
When Avenged Sevenfold was writing this song, they wanted the end result to sound like something from a Danny Elfman movie score (Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Netflix's Wednesday, etc.). When it came time for them to track the horns and other classical instruments, they hired a guy named Steve Bartek to arrange their parts. Little did the band realize, Bartek was the lead guitarist in the 80's New Wave band Oingo Boingo, which formed by none other than Danny Elfman, who was the band's lead songwriter and vocalist!!!
After the band split up, Bartek and Elfman have since continued to work together on film scores, and the guys in Avenged Sevenfold had absolutely NO IDEA of any of this when he was hired!
Dude, that’s amazing! I had no idea about that, but Danny Elfman has such a distinct and unique style, and i can never listen to this and NOT think of his scores. I was always blown away by how A7X managed to pull off such a masterpiece of a song and absolutely nail that Elfman-esque style so well, but now I understand why!
Yeah the horns sound like Oingo Boingo, especially Nasty Habits...knew it all these years
I'm glad you enjoyed this. This song scares some people away from the band if it's the first one they heard. You should check out Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold live at the LBC. It's a fantastic example of the talent of the whole band. Great song lyrics as well if you listen to the meaning.
Yeah I showed my friend this song being the first one but it definitely scared them off lol
Pretty much any song from the Live at the LBC show, would be great listen. I think of the very few people I showed this song to, most got scared lmfao.
When I first heard this song, I couldn't speak English and thought it was awesome
Now I wish I never learned English listening to the lyrics
"I like this"
famous last words
This is literally the best reaction to A Little Piece of Heaven I've ever seen. Most people can't seem to get past the visuals or lyrics and don't appreciate the music. So much so that I would almost never recommend this song to someone who doesn't already know like 5 Avenged Sevenfold songs.
This song does have a very brutal and psychopathic video clip, but behind it has a very deep meaning of loving someone
Murder to prevent the possibility of rejection and a little necrophilia go along way to say "I love you"
"I like this."
10 seconds goes by.
"Wait... wait... oh my God! Oh my God!"
Hahahaha
Best reaction ever. I believed her when she said she didn't know this track! \m/
Her entire video is just
Viiiiiiiibe, the realization, then shock 🤣 i love it
I loved your reaction to this song and your other reactions. This is a fun song that avenged sevenfold did, written by the drummer ThevRev. He was a great music writer and artist of the band. Unfortunately he died at an young age. The song so far away is a tribute to him. That would be a good song to react to. They are a great band!
Absolutely
She would lose it over So Far Away.
Tbf that entire album is a tribute to The Rev
This song is on my top 5 favorite songs of theirs. I think every song is left to be interpreted by the listener. For me the song itself is basically the rollercoaster that love is. It's always told to be such a great emotion but no one ever tells you that with love comes jealousy, fear of unfaithfulness, fear of he/she doesn't love me like I love him/her, he/she is going to leave me etc also anger, rage, revenge, pain and lose. But love still comes out on top even after all those other thoughts and feelings. Even after all the negative thoughts and feelings the love is still there because it is the most powerful emotion. That's my personal interpretation anyway.
The best part was when The Rev sang the last chorus with M Shadows , "but it's just beGUUUUNNNNNNN" at the last chorus, listen carefully, Rev's scream was insane
There is a breakdown of the song on Avenged Sevenfold's official UA-cam channel where at one point you can hear that absolutely incredible pitched scream isolated.
Avenged sevenfold- afterlife LIVE IN THE LBC!!!!❤❤❤❤
You gotta watch them perform the song live at LBC!!
lmaoo omg I had tears at the beginning the reaction was awesome Kath - and same, we all start with, what the F at the start when we first hear it and then OMG I LOVE IT somewhere through the song 🤣
I had watched a few of your other reactions, kind of a hobby of mine recently, and I saw this one and thought ,"oh, here we go..."
And now, this is ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE REACTION EVER!! Your amazing smile as it starts, then then horror as you realize what is happening (especially with the heater), but then you got past that and got smiles and happy again as it goes on... This song is great, you are gorgeous and this reaction is ABSOLUTE GOLD!!!
The Rev was bloody genious. FoREVer.❤ R.I.P.😢
I love this song so much
It’s been stuck in my head since I’ve heard it. Seriously loved it
This might be the best reaction to this song I have seen yet! Just found your channel a few days ago and my wife and I love watching your reactions.
Thank you so so much!!
@@KathrynLayneReacts slaughter to prevail demolisher next? I subbed by the way
@@wasichu3114 lmao you want to ruin this girl, we will get there. You recommend the easy stuff, then you work your way to the really good stuff. People won't appreciate it otherwise haha
@@heyyou8714 what are you talking about? That’s soothing music that’s good for the soul. Very easy listening music.
thank you so so much for not pausing it every time some outrageous line happened in this song. this is the best reaction ive seen to this and im subbing to you
Just watched the first 3 minutes, got give it a like, loved the reaction. Hugs from Brazil!
Awesome reaction! Loved every second of this! 😄
Love the channel selections so far. More tool and A7x would be great to see. So far away or something older like beast and the harlot or bat country from Avenged Sevenfold will give you an idea of how different this was from their normal sound.this was a rock opera sound that they didn't get to do much more of because the Rev passed away as they were writing and finishing the next album
How heart breaking. I’ve read multiple people say that this song was supposed to be on a Halloween album? I can only imagine how bad ass that would of been!
They are playing at the same concert this summer
Awesome Reaction! Straight from The Rev's mind to your Heart. A Beautiful Love Song!
Really loved the reaction! Excellent song arrangement for sure! Was listening to this when I was like 10yo 😂
Best reaction for ever. You´re amazing
Your success is showing everyone how much you enjoy music! Keep it up! I love watching your videos
Best reaction video in the history of all reaction videos. Hands down
Your reactions are going through my highschool playlist as they came out ahaha. Love the reactions. If you liked the melodic part then you'd prob love Death and Healing by Wintersun. Has that mix of metal and melodic violins. That song is a wholeee feels song in a good way.
Your energy when watching these videos is infectious, I love to see how happy and positive you are. Please do more Avenged Sevenfold, in particular react to So Far Away (it was written for their drummer Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan who passed away) - dare you no to cry when it all sinks in. Gained yourself another subscriber, thank you
This reaction was great, love your energy!! I just stumbled on your channel yeaterday and binged all the vids haha. Love this song and would recommened second heart beat or unholy confessions by them too they were like 18 or so when they released those songs and they are great too! Have a nice day!!
I've shown some guys this song and 'cause they were my friends, most of them enjoyed it. I showed some girls this song and have had mixed results. Glad you like it. The rev put this together. He was a genius!
Truly a masterpiece,
Always have and always will be my 'Little piece of heaven '
Thank you, Rev ❤
Masterpiece. Miss u jimmy ♥️
Avenged Sevenfold are some damn good songwriters. It'd be awesome to see you check out more of them.
They hit upon a ton of different moods/vibes depending on your flavor for the day
Love your reactions have so many songs I think you would enjoy.
I am just crushing on you with your reaction, subbed
That was their encore song when I seen them play. Nailed every note!!! Plus girl appeared and sang with them. Hail to the King tour.
I had a feeling you might have some fun with this one. I love people who can appreciate a bit of dark humor now and then!
I love your reaction to the video it's adorable lol
I love your reaction. "This is fun as hell and weird as shit." is the best explanation I ever heard for this song. 😂
Love your reaction! 😊
I love your energy to this song.
I was laughing so hard I was crying..
Thanks for that
Back for seconds! 😂 I love this reaction.
What an amazing reaction haha
Me casoooooo contigo 😂 nice video reaction 👌
This is the best reaction video yet to one of the best written songs of all time.
Hahaha loved that reaction and this is awesome live they sing it with video in background
I’ve never heard this song before either!!! But based on your reaction, I CANNOT WAIT to see the video you were watching!!! Too bad the bad doesn’t allow their videos to be shared!!!
It’s not the band that controls that, they honestly couldn’t care, it’s the label they are signed under
Good reaction, this song is pretty out there for them, hell of a place to start lol. Anyway more avenged sevenfold would be great. Highly recommend their songs “the stage” or “save me”, can’t go wrong with any song from their live in the lbc show as well if you enjoy reacting to live stuff more.
Save me is such an underrated choice. That song and "not ready to die" are the epitome of avenged sevenfold in my opinion.
Love your reactions :) can't wait to you hit 100k!
That would be a total trip!
@@KathrynLayneReacts You have so much charisma, genuine interest and honest takes on the music you listen to, and you're branching out (ie not just 1 artist). So it's just a matter of time :D You and your husband makes a perfect team! :) Maybe a co reaction to stuff neither of you have heard before sometime in the future? :)
Hi Kathryn. I had a similar reaction to A7X the first time I heard this one. If you're looking for more metal/symphonic stuff to react to, some I can recommend are:
Megadeth, Holy Wars... and Hanger 18 (since Dave, the lead singer/guitar player was in Metallica for a bit)
Ginger, Pisces
Nightwish, Everdream and Ghost Love Score (from Showtime, Storytime live from Wacken 2013. This version has Floor Jansen singing, she's amazing!)
Best reaction I seen to this song i love this band and song! So do some more avenged sevenfold
I personally love this song and the way they use all the instruments. I also love your energy some people just get straight up disgusted but you know it's just a song and have fun
Was great and fun watching you experience this for the first time I also love Halloween and horror.. I subed
Linkin Park just dropped a new (old) single called Lost. I think you would like that too. Its very emotional to us Fans because Chester (the lead singer) took his life a couple of years ago. Its a powerful song by one of the most successful bands of all time. ❤
Your smile is contagious 😃
First reaction I didn't hear "Chills, chills"
You're great Kathryn Lanye
You have opened Pandoras Box … The Stage official music video
For another great song and video from A7X with a storyline check out “the stage”
I gotta watch the video again because the first time I was just shocked about how beautiful she is
Avanged Sevenfold- Afterlife is must listen.
Thank you !!... Not a fan of rock like that, BUT !!... You just reminded me of a song from this band I use to bump... Bat Country. Time for some nostalgia. See ya !!
Honestly this is the perfect reaction to this song.
React to Avenged Sevenfold - 'Critical Acclaim' Live in the LBC
Nice reaction
I think I just witnessed the entire range of complex human emotions over the course of 10 minutes.... amazing
Your first dancing reaction is me the whole song.... But it's funny watching your reaction change from happy happy joy joy to "OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT IM WATCHING"
LuLz! It's so much fun watching someone see this video for the first time - the roller coaster effect across their face is hilarious.
Yes - by the way - it's literally a Zombie love story. 🤣
This is a love song.
I'm still holding out hope that Tim Burton makes a feature film based on this song.
haha I actually had a similar thought!
I always thought it would make a great broadway play. With a metal band playing the music instead of an orchestra. How dope would that be?
You’re killing it w/ the energy & honesty in these reviews!
Recommend: KoRn - freak on a leash (album) or Aurora Runaway @ Nobel (anything live!) … or Alice in Chains -Nutshell (another MTV unplugged beauty!
I don't know exactly who's telling you which songs to react to ,but so far it's all my favorite artists and bands ,so keep going just subscribed yesterday :)
My husband! He’s picking them all. He will be happy to know he’s picking the rights ones!
@@KathrynLayneReacts He is doing a awesome job picking!
@@jamesradney5560 I just took a screen shot and sent him this! He’s 50% of this channel and is working hard behind the scenes to pick the perfect songs, what order I should listen them to, and which video to listen to. So this is a huge compliment to him!
@@KathrynLayneReacts Please tell him to keep up the great work!
Really enjoying all your reactions! I newly subscribed. The Metallica videos brought me here but I enjoy all your reactions so much! I hope to see more Metal from the 80's or Metallica reactions!
As you know by now the drummer (RIP The Rev Jimmy Sullivan) wrote this song, as well as the song Fiction. But, he was in a band called Pinkly Smooth that are very similar to this vibe. If you do like this style you might also enjoy Mr. Bungle, or other Mike Patton projects.
Would love to see you react to slaughter to prevail, demolisher or bonebreaker! The band is phenomenal, and Alex’s voice is out of this world
Hello! I clicked on your reaction to Eminem "Kill You", thought it was a great reaction. I went back and have watched and liked almost every video up to this point, I subbed and I can't wait to see more Em, Tool and A7X! A few other random recommendations for recent reaction content: NF, Falling in Reverse, Ren, Sleep Token, and Tom MacDonald! Happy Reacting! :D
My favourite band ever, Save me is my favourite song along with Tonight the world dies!!
awesome reaction video! avenged sevenfold is a great band!
Glad you had fun with this song, that’s what it is a goofy story. Dark af but goofy and fun
You should listen to a live recording of this. They take it to the next level!
The stair of shock when people react to this is just so funny, it will never get old.
Hilarious reaction i love you 😂😂
My fav ax7 song tbh, its so unique and beautiful
im glad you love it🤣 usually i won’t recommend people this for their first song for A7X because they might back off from the rest
very happy to see you reacting to A7X,would love to see you react to more of their songs, trust me you wont regret it
oh bro u got my sub this was hilarious watchin u :D
Best description of this song I ever heard was a friend of mine who said "If they did an R-rated sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Little Piece of Heaven would be in the soundtrack"
Oh and I liked your haircut :)
you don't regret looking so far away
For those who love A7x and this song in particular, I highly recommend that you take a small portion of your time to check out a 1991 album called Mr. Bungle. Just a song or two would suffice, though you may find yourself giving the entire thing a listen. Mr. Bungle was a side project of a few metal legends folks may have heard of: Mike Patton (Faith No More), Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Dave Lombardo (Slayer). Don't go hating on the old dudes and try to hold off any preconceptions and you may be very surprised.
That said, this is a killer track from A7x from start to finish.
One of the best darkest true love songs I've heard.
Been an almost obsessive Avenged Sevenfold fan since 2005 (holy fuck that makes me feel old), and I'm surprised this is the song someone got you to start with. It was originally meant for a Halloween EP they were doing (funny you mention listening to it every Halloween), but turned out so damn good it ended up on the main album they had coming up.
It's ALMOST a shame the video can be SO distracting.
I'm assuming you know Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen? I like to think of this as Sevenfold's Bohemian Rhapsody. It's whimsical and whacky but musically brilliant and so out of the box. Inspired by Oingo Boingo, hence The Nightmare Before Christmas feel, and 95% the brainchild of the bands late drummer, Jimmy The Rev, and out of every song Sevenfold have ever made, this one sits firmly at the very top for me.
One new band I try to get everyone to check out is Spirit Adrift. Songs I'd start with are either Forge Your Future or Ride Into The Light
The Rev is the greatest songwriter, singer and drummer to ever live.
02:05 that reaction was perfectly timed to the scream in the song🤣
Decade later never gets old to shock people with the video
*Cheery laughing dancing side to side* *THAT SCENE AND LYRIC VERSE* O.o
