Someone is probably gonna hate me for saying this but I think this was the prime/golden era of Avenged Sevenfold. I remember being a teenager and listen to the whole “Nightmare” album after school.
Pretty much everyone feels this way lol, the band still rules and technically is probably the most skilled they’ve ever been but most people will always consider WTF-nightmare as their prime
@@puppetmaster8551 the band themselves feel that way too. Ive seen Matt say that part of their lost motivation is knowing that without the Rev they're missing half the band. His voice, writing and talent is irreplaceable. Without him its pointless to try replicate any old style.. It'd just be a worse version of it. prob a part of the reason any new albums have been super experimental. also, its normal for bands to get more talented but be unable to reproduce the passion or skills that made them popular. Like take slipknot, they know a lot more now but as much as theyve tried to theyll never replicate iowa
most of their song written by the rev.. the catchy but wild song. After the rev passed away, they lost half of their soul. they still good, but never reach the same height again.
I remember my daughter & I waiting for Shadows “evil” laugh when we opened the new albums. He used to do it in every song back then. Good memories. Great reaction as always 😊 xx
This is the best version of this song. The Rev died a year and a half later as well, which makes this video really special. They still use the recording of his singing for this song when they do it live.

It’s true.
