    When I fish nightcrawlers (which is usually in a creek), I thread them on the hook and up the line a bit rather than hook them through the side multiple times. It looks more natural and produces more fish. Also use a slightly smaller hook

    A little tip to you and your viewers. I mostly fish for rainbow trout, and I primarily use worms. The best way to get bit on a worm is to scent them up, with some crawfish scent!! I use Yum craw scent and it absolutely kills!!!!! So don’t count the worms out! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    The worms are half dead. You need some fresh worms.

    • @dwightstewart7181
      @dwightstewart7181 6 років тому +3

      His main problem is how he's using the worms. By wrapping the worm several times on the hook, he's leaving very little tail to wiggle in the water. Clearly the minnow, hooked solely in the mouth, moves around more. Hooked properly, the liveliness of the worm then plays a role. His worms were quite lethargic.

    The Lew's Xfinity is the best for the price point. Good job yes just cut a hook off the line don't pull the line out of the fishes throut just leave it. The only right thing to do for the fish. Or just keep it and eat it... Ethical fishing 🎣 only 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

    I like fishing with worms when I am with the kids or young casters who are happy to catch anything. However worms are tough skinned and once a fish starts pulling it apart they can get dragged off the hook. Just a pellet sized bit of swimmers ear plug wax or similar punched just above the hook barn below the worm helps keep it on longer.

  • @miller17013
    @miller17013 6 років тому

    bullhead catfish normally catch them on worms in ponds and when im fishing for them if they swallow it i cut it off re string and when cleaning the fish i try to get the hook back and have actually found other hooks in their stomachs that were almost completely rusted apart so as long as you dont rip the stomach apart it is safe for the fish to cut the line an let it go.

    You should have kept the crappie and done a catch and cook. They are really good if you soak in Frank's red hot sauce, then dredge in flower. I would like to see you try catching freshwater fish on traditional saltwater bait, like squid

    You should do crickets vs minnows, and the winners up against shiners , get the best ask around live bait.

    You should do an upgrade vid with live bait. Start with a minnow and try to catch a small bluegill or crappie and then use that to catch a bass

    Looks like you just came from Wally World, with those tie-wraps holding the reels on and the butt stickers still on the handles! (I kid people all the time about that!) Haha!
    I was wondering at first with that "Hook/Minnow Combination"! (A size 6 minnow on a 6-0 Hook looked funny!) Haha!
