It’s funny how this is first fishing video I ever watched on UA-cam when this video came out it just popped up in my recommendations and I continued to watch mikes videos and taught myself how to bass fish when before I only knew how to catfish cause my grandad taught me but I recently had just advanced to teaching myself to fly fish and I’m very thankful for your videos cause they inspired to start bass fishing and I come back to this one sometimes just for nostalgia. With that gill plate bone id say it is a carp skeleton. Catfish skulls don't have that gill plate in any that I have seen.

11:20 that’s an ice fishing/boat lure. It’s meant to be used for vertical jigging.
Make another challenge and use the baits that u didn't catch a fish on like the top water and the crab and pike bait

Ok here's an idea for a challenge- use big catfish/shark rods and put 3lb line test on or use super small hooks. Or another idea is to get an ultra light spinning rod and use fly fishing reel backing as your line!

watching youtube videos is a GREAT way to learn for all skill levels! i feel like i'm decent at bass fishing, but i've learned a lot of stuff from random youtube videos. picked up new lures that have been great, picked up easier/different ways to hook plastic baits, picked up new ways to fish all kinds of baits. youtube is an amazing resource for fishing tips.

Ty M It could of been caught by a raptor (birds with pointy beaks and sharp claws). we have some eagles near our local lake and we see them catch huge fish.

Mimic minnows actually put in work. The darker color work best. But take the spinner off and jigging them work very well too
